They did a fantastic, unbelievably good job. I had two other painting companies bid on it and they were both very iffy if they can do a good job but Ryan was really definite that they could make it look really good. They were really good. They were about the same as other companies for pricing.

Ryan returned my call promptly and scheduled an appointment. He was very professional and courteous, and provided me with a quote the next day. It was a tough decision between two equally qualified and engaging painters. The bottom line came down to price and the fact the other painter and his assistant would move the furniture for me and return it to its original place.

From his first visit to our home to give us an estimate, to the final completion of the job, it was a very pleasant experience dealing with Ryan Conlin, his wife Trudy, and their workers. They did a great job, from the washing of the house, to the thorough caulking of all seams, to the painting of all siding, trim, and doors. We appreciated that their company doesn't spray on the paint, but they used rollers and brushes. They were professional, hardworking, and always approached everything with a mind toward our convenience and satisfaction. We are highly satisfied with the paint job they did, and are absolutely thrilled at how great our home looks now.

Ryan did a great job on the house, garage and deck, He was professional, responsive to my concerns and questions, did the work when he said he would and did it within the timeframe he gave me at the outset. when he found a strip of water damaged trim on the garage, he made a connection for me to have it repaired and came back to paint the repaired section. I was very pleased with the entire job and have already passed on their name to a friend who asked about a reliable painter. I will definitely use GLPC again.

We asked for prices fro exterior and interior work and had them do the exterior now and plan on them painting interior in the spring.

Greater Lansing Paint Company came 15 minutes early for our appointment. Ryan was very professional. He even had a laser device that took measurements of all the rooms.

Ryan was very cooperative and accommodating and was happy to do little extra things that I asked for, such as painting a piece of lattice, at no extra cost. All of the paint was brushed or rolled onto the house -- no spraying and no damage to any of our plants or shrubs. The shutters were removed before painting, painted separately, and then re-hung. The team put on two generous coats of solid stain. I will definitely call Greater Lansing Paint Co. when we need our deck redone.

It was reasonable. The time involved and the window of opportunity did not fit with what we wanted. He was very personable. He was very upfront. He was willing to give us examples of his work. He had confidence in what he did. He was also willing to consider other options. He was very knowledgeable about paint. It was reasonable. The price could've been a little lower. He was quick to answer. He never hesitated.

They came when they said they would, did exactly what I asked, and did a good job. They're coming back to do my deck soon.

He recommended a higher quality paint to complete the job, I agreed and couldn't be happier, the paint matched perfectly and the finish was flawless. They were very professional. I would have gone with them but then I decided that for that amount I can do the job myself and that is what I did. They were worth the amount they quoted, but I decided to do the job myself. I think they were reasonable. The person who came was good. The quote for painting two rooms was $850. He was a really nice guy. He was on time and he was really nice to work with and talk to. He seemed really friendly. If the price was better I would have had it done. It was just out of my price range.

When I initially called Ryan Conlin, owner of the Greater Lansing Paint Company, I left a message on his cell phone. He returned my call later that day despite the fact that he was on a vacation in Mexico at the time. He promised to talk to me more in detail upon his return on Saturday even though I said that the following Monday would be soon enough. Sure enough, Ryan called me on that Saturday and we set up a time for him to stop by the house for an estimate. I was immediately impressed with Ryan's clean-cut presence, punctuality, enthusiasm. energy, and professionalism. What a "go-getter!" He described the pros and cons of brushing vs. spraying, the Sherwin Williams products he used, and the fact that he, himself, would be on-site throughout the project. He also showed us his portfolio of houses that he had painted and a full page of references. Ryan emailed us his estimate within a day or two, and we found that his estimate was right in the middle of the other two estimates we had received, both of which spray-painted, rather than brushed the paint. It was an easy decision to accept Ryan's bid, especially after talking to a former client who gave Ryan and his crew a glowing report. The painting job went exactly as promised. He knows his products and how to apply them. Instead of trying to rush through the job, he made sure to allow the house to dry thoroughly after being washed, before applying the caulk, and then allowed time for the caulk to thoroughly dry. Same for allowing the paint to dry between coats. He also made sure not to apply the paint in the direct sunlight. Ryan and his crew's work ethic is outstanding. They arrived promptly at 9:00 and did not take any breaks until lunch time. They brought their own lunches, and sat under a tree, even though I suggested they sit on the porch furniture. Ryan declined, saying they didn't want to get our furniture "dirty." The crew worked throughout the afternoon until quitting time, again without any breaks. They cleaned up at the end of each day, stowing their ladders and materials out of sight on the side of the house. This went on for about a week and a half until the entire job was done. There was never any smoking or bad language of any kind. They were all extremely appreciative of the drinks and snacks I made for them, though they didn't help themselves to anything until it was lunch time. I told Ryan he is a wonderful role model for his 3 younger workers. We are very pleased with the job Ryan and the Greater Lansing Paint Company did on our exterior house painting and deck. We have accepted another bid from them to remove wallpaper and then repaint a master bathroom and bedroom, living room and family room. We very much look forward to working with them again.

I called the company in late May for an estimate to paint the entire interior of my rental house. I met Ryan at the house on a weekday evening for the estimate. I instructed Ryan to paint all the walls and interior doors in the house. I also had Ryan paint the kitchen cabinets, which were original to the house and a typically 1950's dark wood. The following day, Ryan provided me an estimate via email. I accepted the estimate and scheduled the work. I put no money down. Ryan told me that they planned to work in the house during the evenings. I provided Ryan with paint samples. He used paint from Sherwin-Williams Work started after Memorial Day. Ryan and crew patch holes in the walls, fixed cracks and primed where necessary. Because they were working evenings, the job was not finished for nearly 2 weeks. That didn't bother me so much, since the house was vacant at the time. In the end, the paint job looks great. The color in the house is fantastic. I did have to do some touch-up painting, most notable in the front foyer. There was 1 inch wide - 5 inch long unpainted spot above a closet door, which is clearly visible the month you walk in the front door. I don't know how they missed it! But, that isn't a big deal. I like the company and their professionally. I will certainly use again. One note of importance. The company prefers not to accept credit cards because of the 2% fee charged by Mastercard or Visa. So, be sure you can pay for the work with a check.

They are very professional, pleasant people who arrive on time and work a long, hard day. We received an estimate quickly, work began soon thereafter, and they completed everything within a week. They are very neat and leave no mess anywhere. This painter has a preference for Sherwin-Williams 'super-paint' which has a washable, semi-satin finish. (Probably good if you have children.) If you are interested in a matte finish for your walls, I would recommend you indicate this upfront. I would have preferred a matte finish to the sheen of the super-paint for repaint-ability (of small areas) as well as camouflaging irregularities on the walls.

We spoke with multiple companies about repainting some rooms in our house. We had two rooms that had bare-bones drywall with no tape and mud and one room that we had attempted to tape and mud ourselves (and, needless to say, didn't turn out that well). We chose Ryan and Greater Lansing Paint Co to complete the work. They were amazing. The colors and rooms turned out fantastic. (An even more impressive feat had you seen the "before" product. Greater Lansing Paint Co does not utilize tape and kudos to them for that! The lines were perfect. They really know what they're doing. Will definitely utilize them again!

They did a great job and I would recommend them to anybody. The work has held up and after one year, it looks pretty good. The painters who came out were extremely professional and friendly, more than you would generally find with a contractor. They were here for four days and they were great. I will use them and only them for any other painting needs.

It went extremely well, and was the best paint job I've ever had done. GLPC arrived when they said they would and stayed until the job was completed. They moved the furniture as needed and returned it to its proper place. They also used a low VOC paint at my request. They were very professional and I plan to use them again this year. Although I might be able to get a less expensive painter (I've had others), I know I wouldn't get the quality job that I got from GLPC. Once again I am very pleased with the response and work received from GLP. They painted the living room, dining room, dean and 2 bedrooms of the main floor of my house (May 2011).

At first we thought the price we were paying seemed like a lot but after seeing the end product we are not sure we paid enough! They offered us a professional paint job we couldn't have done ourselves. It looks like a brand new space! And we love the fireplace! Can't wait to show it off at our Super Bowl Party! The windows look great, the various stain/colors used were fantastic. They took great care in applying the stain so that we don't have to repaint the walls.

Project went great, they made the bathroom walls look like brand new walls. Great cut lines between the ceiling and walls.

We have an old home, built in 1865. It needed some special care. GREATER LANSING PAINT COMPANY, LLC came and gave us an estimate last fall (2008) with the intent of doing the work this spring (2009). We were delayed a few days because of rain but other than that, everything worked out superbly. They estimated, scraped, power washed with TSP, filled cracks, (very old house so this was almost an entire coating on the on house in itself), primed and applied two coats of paint. They cleaned up all of their mess from scraping etc and were even careful of the flower gardens which were just beginning to bloom. Ryan was helpful and careful about matching colors. He has a good eye for this which is important to me ( I am an artist). They paid attention to details and did a high-class job on the trim. While painting or spraying they covered the windows. We have a less than cordial neighbor and they were sensitive and considerate of his needs too. I found all of the team members to be polite and considerate. We allowed them to change inside our house and use our bathroom facilities which was fine. They were clean and considerate. They played music but it was not too loud. Colorful language was never a problem as it sometimes is when someone works on your home, particularly outside. Unless it was raining, they were there when they said they would be. We had not planned on having them do preservative work on the front porch, but after having them price it out for us we went ahead and had them do it and we are happy that we did. It looks great. We may have them back to do the back deck next summer!
