Description of Work: I use G.L. Wilson Heating and Cooling for heating and A/c services. They came to clean my furnace last year, usually it takes them a good half an hour plus to clean my furnace if I do business with somebody else. Well this kid came and in ten minutes in an out gone. And I'm not sure he didn't help himself to something in the basement because he went out of here with a small pouch clutched to the front of him like he had a prized possession. The woman called me a week ago and I told them that I could never figure out what was, my husband had so many tools down there god only knows. But I couldn't understand anybody else set down there and they vacuumed it and they cleaned different parts and everything I don't even think he took the cover off under the furnace. I point blank told her I wouldn't do business with them again and told her why and she said she would take me off their list.

Description of Work: I needed an annual safety and function check up to keep the warranty valid. There wasn't any active problem at the time. I change my owner air and humidifier media. Two winters ago a snow drift fell off the roof and blocked the air intake and the CO2 exhaust. As designed, the furnace shut down and the the electronic thermostat produced error codes regarding the reduced flow. i cleared the snow and it started again fine. However, when the technician came to check the unit only my wife was at home. She didn't know to specifically ask the tech to check the Icomfort thermostat and clear the old codes. She said the tech was in the basement about 15 minutes. He never cleared the error codes (Critical Alert 35) in the Icomfort Thermostat. It's fortunate that the error codes are dated and don't indicate a current problem. There weren't but could have been additional error codes for the safety check I don't think the tech was familiar with checking the Lennox Icomfort Thermostat electronics. Don't mean to sound negative but next time I'll be there when he comes.

Description of Work: started the summer furnace check found a bad heat exchanger which was replaced under warranty. Tried to charge me a 700 dollar installation charge for a 2 man 1.5 hr replacement job Never got the summer check.

Description of Work: Tested the furnace for carbon monoxide leak and found it over legal limit. Delivered new fur ice and had it running by mid afternoon. Don't know how to rate price. Just trusted them because they were on Angie's List. They thankfully submitted the rebate requests.

Description of Work: Furnace inspection revealed cracked heat exchanger with minor CO leak so furnace had to be shut down per code. Promptly received a visit and quote for new furnace and AC. Since just before Thanksgiving and understandably busy time of year, it was going to be two weeks. They left us with a super duper space heater immediately and with our own small one, we were toasty until installation. Installation went well, timely arrival, professional, and just plain nice guys. Would recommend them to anyone.

Description of Work: Furnace inspection/tune-up... The company double charged us & then refused to correct there mistake or even speak to us.

Description of Work: They installed a Lennox furnace and humidifier. So far it has been working excellent. The sales guy that came out was very nice and I haven't had any problems.

Description of Work: Hot Water heater that also serves as a boiler for in-floor heating system. They were very prompt in getting out to give a bid and had a crew here the next AM 8:00!

Description of Work: I have used Wilson for years to service my old furnace and they were great. I needed a new furnace and asked them for a quote and learned they were bought out by Prichard heating in Livonia. I ordered a furnace from them. On the day of the installation, the installers told me that they could not install it as the location where the fuirnace would vent outside the house as it did not meet the safety codes. The owner's of the company tried to convice me it would be fine and there would be no problem. Not conviced, I consulted 3 other contrators who concurred that the location that Wilson wanted to use was against code, and for very good safety reasons.I cancelled my order and found a more reliable contractor to do the work.I was very disappointed in Wilson. It is not the same home town company it once was.

Description of Work: There was a recall on a part of our lennox furnace. For some reason we were not notified about. Had trouble with our furnace found out about the recall but too late. There was extensive damage done to the furnace as a direct result of the defective part. Lennox didn't want to honor due to date expiration. Wilson heating fought on our behalf and not only did the company preplace the defect part free but gave a very deep discount on a new lennox furnace. The majority of the cost was labor. This is a company that has always responded to our calls promptly. There pricing is completive. We will only use Wilson heating and air conditioning when needed. they did not have any obligation to fight on our behalf but they did. I really do not think any other heating company would have done the same as it was time consuming and not income generating.
