They came in and redid and revamped the whole store and opened up a new one. They never paid the subcontractor. He is subcontracting a lot of people, getting a big check, and is not paying the other people. He has exremely poor business ethics.

the installation of the cabinets was satisfactory, but the cabinet doors rattle when they close. he said he would fix this with a nail gun, but he never did. the rattle is very annoying. but the worst part is the backsplash. instead of starting to install the tile outwards from the kitchen window, he started installing the tile from the outside wall and worked toward the kitchen window. consequently, there is a half tile on one side of the kitchen window. it looks terrible to see a half tile right in the most visible portion of the kitchen! to make matters worse, the half tile does not even match the rest of the tile! it is a different style altogether! how he could put in the wrong piece of tile, i'll never understand. nor will i ever be able to understand how he could not know better than to work toward the window instead of away from it. any amateur handyman knows better than that. when they hear the story, my friends and co-workers laugh at him and would never hire him everyone makes mistakes. but when people make mistakes, they generally try to correct them. it's the only decent thing to do. however, i have called mr gondek about ten times over the last three months to give him the opportunity to correct his mistake. he keeps promising to come over, but then he never shows. it has now gotten to the point where he does not return my calls. very disappointing. i will be reporting this to the appropriate state regulatory agency as well.
