Because of the summer they were pretty quick. A young man came out and checked the ac. He did not even have to go inside the house because he put the fuse back for the ac. He checked everything and seemed to have parts in his truck.

Having worked with Doty Mechanical as a customer in both corporate and residential settings, it is clear that they do things the right way and put their customers first no matter the size of the project. Most recently, Doty fully replaced the HVAC system at our home. The installers, Daren and Clinton, were exceptional - very friendly, knowledgeable, and respectful of us and our home at all times. The first thing that they did when they arrived, after introducing themselves, was to lay down canvas tarps from the front door all the way to the furnace and put booties on their feet to protect our wood floors and carpet. They worked quietly and efficiently and kept their workspace neat. At the end of the installation they took the time to walk us through the entire system and answer any questions that we had. As someone who considers themselves OCD, I was beyond impressed by the end result of their work! Everything they installed was level/straight and clean - true craftsmanship! They really did a great job! Likewise, leading up to and after the installation, interactions with the office staff were equally as wonderful. The project was quoted with a very precise level of detail and Lori completely took care of us by handling all of the "heavy lifting" on paperwork for the rebates we qualified for. She simply asked us a few questions and took care of the rest for us! By far, this has been my best experience ever with any contractor - I would recommend Doty Mechanical to anyone needing HVAC services, whether in a corporate setting or at home, in a heartbeat!

Excellent. Service tech here within an hour of my call. Clayton diagnosed the problem and took care of it. In addition, he performed our "Comfort Plus" check (which had been scheduled for next week). Net result was that total cost was only for the part (labor covered by the Comfort Plus check), and that at a discount due to Comfort Plus membership. Very happy doing business with Doty.

Appointment scheduling is less convenient because they only give you an appointment window of "morning" or "afternoon" unless you can book far enough out to be first job, which is why I rate lower for responsiveness, but the office staff are very polite and the service technician was professional. However, I cannot recommend this company. At best, the technician was unable to answer some of our basic questions about his work, and at worst, he was attempting to use scare tactics to pressure us into buying a new furnace. As an example, his first CO reading came back 4-5 ppm, after which he warned that any reading above 9 ppm would force him to "shut it down." When we pressed him on the reasoning for this, he could not explain the supposed policy other than pulling out a chart that said as such. As far as I can tell, there doesn't appear to be any government ordinance that would require him to do so. Moreover, the 9 ppm limit is a bit odd because the United States Consumer Protection Bureau's guidelines state that "Most people will not experience any symptoms from prolonged exposure to CO levels of approximately 1 to 70 ppm..." I suppose that a reading of 9 ppm might just be indicative of problems like a cracked heat exchanger that might have the potential go get worse in the future, but our technician did not offer this explanation. In fact, when we asked him to take another reading, it came back 0-1 ppm. He could not offer any explanation for why the reading came back different. If the CO reader is subject to that much random error, the company should not claim to have a policy that forces technicians to "shut it down" at 9 ppm, unless it is designed to drive sales. Bottom line: it's a trust issue.

Technicians arrived promptly at stated time and got right to work. They removed old furnace and installed new 2 stage high efficiency furnace and humidifier. They also tossed in a new thermostat due to us being current customers. The install went smoothly, though the tight space made it an all day process. Even though they spent the entire day at our residence they remained professional and courteous throughout. We will continue to be Doty customers in the future due to their quality standards and work.

Doty Mechanical is great. Best price. Work was promptly performed. They addressed issues I had with my current system and found a solution that fixed the problem. They were excellent. I will never go to another mechanical contractor.

Pete was my sales person. Sean and Jason were the installation techs. All three were great guys, easy to work with. On the day of install Pete introduced me to Sean and Jason, we reviewed the project, there were no surprises. The work was done in a timely fashion and the site cleaned by the techs after project was finished. I have used Doty for heating/cooling for over 20 yrs, in the 90's when the company was a different DBA. I have always been pleased with the techs that Doty sends out for service. Very professional employees and explain what they are doing and answer any questions I may have.

Arrived on time and worked efficiently. Detected minor leak in system. Explained the situation and corrected the problem. We've done business with Doty for many years and always been satisfied.

I purchased the deal for $94.They didn't respond within the time period requested by Angieslist, but when they did they were able to schedule me in promptly. The guy who showed up was polite and professional. I'm happy with their work.

After a small glitch in startup (not getting a call back after my initial inquiry to their company), Doty performed admirably. They visited in a timely manner and were on time. They asked numerous questions regarding my heating cooling needs/wants as well as problems I was experiencing. They provided a proposal in a timely manner. They put up with several questions regarding retrofitting issues as well as breaking the quote down into just single component pricing (e.g., furnace only). They provided guidance in ultimate choice of units to install. They scheduled immediately and came on time. They worked magic with exhaust piping which was a challenge based on current duct configuration. They were all business on installation day, and left the area cleaner than when it started.

I like the company. I think that they are professional and do their work well. Unfortunately, the company that made the air conditioner would not warrant it so I had to pay the repairs out of my pocket. The price, I checked with another company and they were $2300 so I think $800 beats that. For having them replaced the evaporator coil, I think that was okay. I have a service contract with them.

Mark and Arnie, the salesmen, were very thorough and answered all of our questions. The installers, Shawn and Cal, were neat and professional. I appreciated the tarps they used to keep the flooring clean while they worked. They did a great job and according to the building inspector, that is typical of Doty Mechanical's standards. I would recommend them to anybody. One of my nosy condo neighbors stopped by to ask what they were doing when they were working outdoors and they were even kind and polite to the old geezer.

We'll use them in the future. Fair pricing. Friendly. Professional. Willing to work with you. Trustworthy.

The provider arrived on time and was very friendly and professional. I am not sure if he was an expert in mini-split ductless air conditioning (he did not say he was) but he seemed familiar with the product and installation. We received the quote the next day via email which was nice, however, the quote was approximately $1500 more than a quote we received from a competitor.

I can't recommend Doty enough. I know it was hard to work with our extremely limited options for locating the ductwork, but our guy (Jason) was great. He confirmed locations for everything and our building inspector said it was the best workmanship he'd ever seen. Despite being very busy right now, Gary shuffled things around to get our finish done in time for our occupancy inspection. They showed up every time they were expected to, on time, and cleaned up when they were done. When they had trouble getting our control board working with the furnace (manufacturer's issue), they got a replacement and installed it the same day, staying until 7pm to get it done for me. Because the system is geothermal, I qualify for a 30% rebate from the federal government on the entire price (via tax refund), which effectively makes the cost ~$23,000. Oh, and my electric bill is $32/month to heat the entire house (4100 ft2 of conditioned space, including the basement) to 70 degrees; 80 during the two weeks our drywaller was mudding.

Experience was good. I finally selected another company for service based on price and alternative options.

They helped me pick out the best unit for my needs and were very efficient and clean in installing. I am very satisfied.

Very professional and punctual. Higher priced than the other estimates we received. We are still reviewing all estimates and we will let you know what happens next.

Josh was early for the appointment, greet me cordially and slipped on his shoe covers. He asked about any concerns with the system as he began the checkup. He explained what he was doing and why and gave advice on maintaining the system during the year. He covered the checklist he prepared with all the specifics of the checkup and wished me a good day upon his departure.

Appt was 8 a.m., tech was prompt. Doty's tech's are very courteous and explain what they find and the services performed. I would recommend Doty to anyone and often do.

My overall experience with them was wonderful. They were really good.
