They are located in Lansing and they are wonderful. His name is Jim Johnson and he does both commercial and residential. I don't know whether he is taking on clients now. He is very picky. He alternates some of the things. He will do baseboards in one week and picture frames, tops of door frames, and tops of everything the next week. When he comes, he usually has one or two other people with him. One goes upstairs to start work on the two bathrooms upstairs and they do a very good job. Even though my children are not living at home anymore, they always make sure that the things are dusted and vacuumed in their rooms. They do the downstairs bath and they do the laundry. He will even fold the dirty clothes to set them so they look neat. It drives me crazy because I think they are clean and try and put them away. Everything has to not just be clean but look good. In the kitchen, I think once a month, they wipe down all of the cabinets. He always cleans the inside and outside of the microwave, always cleans the outside of the dishwasher and the oven. After I have done a self-cleaning on the oven, if I ask him to clean that out, he will do that too. He does an excellent job on windows and screens, doors, and chandeliers. I would have to pay him extra to clean out my refrigerator, but it sure would look nice. I bet I can put my hand up on the top of the refrigerator right now and not find any dirt. That gets cleaned all the time. In the family room, he dusts all the electronics, the fireplace, the lamps, and the bookcase. They clean off the coffee table. They take everything off, organize and stack them nicely and they clean the table and put everything back. They vacuum as well. I have hardwood floors throughout quite a bit of the house. They sweep the floors every time and then they wash and dry them on their hands and knees. Find somebody to do that these days. He wipes down the stairs. They go out to the garage. When we are come in with muddy boots in the winter, he keeps those cleaned up. He takes the trash and gets it in the big granger bin and puts the fresh bag in. All the waste baskets are emptied. He has been cleaning my house since we moved here 16 years ago. He is honest and trustworthy. He works hard. What I have noticed about Jim is that he likes cleaning. He always does the kitchen because he wants that to be perfect. He has become like a friend as well as someone who works for me. His wife is my personal secretary. I also have a finished basement and that is extra when I want him to go down there and clean that. It has a bathroom and it's carpeted. There is a lot to do down there. He charges extra for the chandelier, which is a big pain in the neck to clean. Sometimes, there are just some things he does for me because he has time and he does them for me. He will add a 10 or 15 dollars too. His window cleaning is unbelievably inexpensive. I am the one that suggested the price. I will continue to use him. I would be lost without him.
