We have used Bill Leech Repair Service over the years and have always had excellent service. They show up when they say they are going to, are very knowledgeable and do great service. We have always been completely satisfied with the work. We will always call them when needed and know we will be treated well and our issues will be resolved timely and within a very reasonable price.
Description of Work: They have fixed our washer and our dryer.

Description of Work: Leech Repair Service performed refrigerator repair. The repairs were good but the charges were confused. They charged us $80 for a 1st visit that lasted 5 minutes. Repairman told us it the $80 would be part of the repair bill but when they came back they charged us again and didn't credit the $80 as promised. No repair was done on the 1st first visit because parts had to be ordered. We feel we were overcharged. There was a hint of discriminatory practice because Bill Leech asked where we moved from when we inquired about the details of he bill.

l purchased an LG refrigerator from Best Buy in January. The thing makes a HORRIBLE high pitched buzzing noise. LG service said it is because the unit is not tilted back as specified in the owner's manual. They sent Bill Leech Repair Service out. The repair man was a joke. He opened the fridge, verified model and serial number, and told me the high pitch noise is normal for all new refrigerators. I told him I have been around a number of new, high efficiency refrigerators, and have never heard a compressor buzz like this. I told him what LG customer service had told me and what the owner's manual said about the unit having to be tilted back. He told me the person I spoke with at LG didn't know and was just reading from a manual (apparently, the owner's manual is incorrect, also). This so-called repair man was rude, flippant, and cocky. I called Bill Leech Repair Service and complained about the repair man. The girl who answered the phone became short and rude when I told her I was going to complain to LG about their approved warranty service provider. DON'T USE BILL LEECH REPAIR SERVICE. They are TERRIBLE!!!
Description of Work: Service man came in, verified the model and serial number of the refrigerator, told me nothing was wrong and left. He did absolutely nothing and was very flippant and cocky.

When I made the appointment, I was given an appointment for a particular day. The day before the appointment, I was called and given a window when the repairperson would arrive. The repairperson arrived on time and quickly evaluated the problem. He was able to unfreeze the water line and was able to start the icemaker functioning. All work was satisfactory.
Description of Work: Checked and repaired the icemaker in my refrigerator.

The repairman listened as I told him about a pillow opening up in the washer and since then having this train-like sound coming from the machine only in the final rinse cycle. I wondered if some of the fuzz had gone over the tub and was trapped somewhere. He grunted at me and played around with the machine buttons and then said he'd have to come back with another guy to open the machine up. We set the appointment and time. I wasn't happy since I had already waited better than a week for them to come out. On the next appointment date they neither showed up or called. I left a message. They called the next morning and said they 'forgot' and would come out with two people that day. The same silent guy came with another more talkative fellow who supposedly looked inside my washer. They came out and announced my washer had burned out bearings and that it was almost $500 to replace so I might as well go out and buy a new washer. I said it was only four years old and I take care of my appliances. What about the pillow fuzz? He responded with "No fuzz. These new machines only last four to five years anyway". So, I called another service in and a very professional gentleman came out the next morning after calling to let me know he would be at my home shortly. I told him about the fuzz but said nothing about the B. Leech Repair story. He programmed the machine and when it finally went into the final spin and he heard the noise and he moved the tub around and heard a dragging sound off and on. He asked me for a wire coat-hanger and moved the tub to the side and there, lo and behold, was a wadded up "mouse" of pillow fuzz. He reran the machine and no noise. I asked if my bearings could be bad and he replied,"No, you would hear your bearings sound through all cycles. You'd be able to hear it outside it's so loud. You were right to suspect the fuzz as the sound started right after you washed the pillow." He also said you could not see the bearings if you opened up the machine because they are incased in a unit with the tub. You know it's bearings by the tremendously loud noise. My husband commented that with Bill Leech guys incompetence we would've bought a brand new washer if we hadn't checked with another company. When Bill was still running the company - you never had any of the problems we had recently. I will never use them again or recommend to anyone. Bad service all around.
Description of Work: Was called to come and look at my four year old washing machine that starting making a loud noise during the last spin cycle after I had washed some pillows and one broke open and fuzz was all over the inside of the tub.

This started with my warranty company choosing for us this Bill Leech Repair Service . The service over the phone was rude and the communication was very bad . We always had to call them to find out if anything was happening with ordered parts, an appointment to come, etc. The man that answers their phone is very short with people especially women; he was a lot better with my husband. They would tell us that they would call in a couple days but after about 4 days we had to call them. I hope that's not Bill Leech that answers the phone, that would be a bad way to represent your own business. Long story short after new parts, a month passing, and many attempts to try to fix the washer they should have just admitted that they didn't care one bit if this washer was fixed and I suspect they didn't even know how to fix it . We are now working with our warranty company to be reimbursed for the price of the washer that no one can fix . Please save yourself the trouble, stress, and agony of dealing or trying to deal with the Bill Leech Repair Service.
Description of Work: Bill Leech Repair Service attempted very badly to try and fix my Maytag washer. I don't think they knew how to fix it but did not want to admit that to us.

After telling me that he wouldn't work on the appliance due to no warranty, he picked up his things and prepared to go. I pointed out to him that he should tell his boss, whomever that was, that they should consider verifying this kind of information on the phone when making the appointment, before people take time off from work with the expectation of work being performed. I don't think he appreciated this, but come on! This wasn't customer service, and as I've found out since, not only does Bosch warranty their appliances, but the repair service I ended up going with was both friendly, prompt, and they took down the microwave themselves, turning down my offers to assist. The Bill Leech Repair company had so many opportunities to provide decent customer service, from verifying information on the phone, to offering alternative solutions to me, but instead they wasted my time, made me doubt for a minute whether my newly purchased appliances were in fact warrantied (they are!), and bristled when I pointed out how their service was impacting potential customers like myself. I've also contacted Bosch about this treatment, as if I'd have believed the repairman, I would now believe that my new appliances were in fact not warrantied, which would have have soured the fun we're having with our new kitchen. They were not doing Bosch any good with their misinformation either.
Description of Work: We just had our kitchen remodeled, and installed all new appliances. All of the new appliances worked well with the exception of our Bosch microwave. It never microwaved, meaning that it indicated it was working, but never actually heated anything. When we called Bosch for help, they referred us to their local servicing vendor, Bill Leech Repair Service. I called Bill Leech and left a message on Sunday, and it was returned first thing on Monday. So far, so good. I explained my situation, and that Bosch had referred me to them for assistance, and was told that they could come out the following day, but that they didn't work after 5pm, nor on weekends, and so this meant that I would have to take some time off from work. A week later, on a Tuesday was the earliest day I could get off, so I set the appointment, and eagerly waited getting my micro repaired, and having the kitchen together and working for the first time. So imagine my frustration when Tuesday came, and their repairman showed up (don't know if it was Bill himself, as no name was offered during the duration of our exchange), and upon seeing the microwave, the repairman immediately grunted that the microwave would need to "come down" (it's an over the range microwave), which to me implied that I, the customer was expected to handle this end of the repair. After explaining the problem, we turned on the microwave to show that it was not working, and he indicated that the microwave didn't sound right, but said little else before asking where I purchased the microwave from... As i handed him my purchase invoice, i explained that I had purchased it through an online vendor, at which time he stopped me and said that Bosch appliances purchased online were not warrantied, and that he wouldn't work on it.

When I bought this house, this house had a built-in cooktop and two built-in wall ovens. It was a brand that I had never heard of. It’s apparently a high-end brand. I had the house inspected before I bought it and the home inspector identified that the ovens didn’t come up to temperature. So, I needed somebody to service them. It took me a while to find a company that serviced this particular brand. I finally found Bill Leech Repair Service on Angie’s List and I paid $600 for their services. The technicians who came out were less familiar with the brands than was Mr. Leech himself who I spoke to for arranging the service. So, I wasn’t very sure with these guys and I didn’t know if they totally knew what they were doing. There were two technicians and they seemed to be asking one another a lot of questions. They weren’t very confident with the answers. I was standing there and I wasn’t sure about it. They did fix the ovens so that they would work. I had no problems with the ovens. In that respect, they did what they were supposed to do. I had some questions about the ovens. The ovens have lots of different bells and whistles and lots of different settings. It’s digital and the settings flash up when you turn it on. I didn’t have any idea how to use. So, I asked them if they could make me familiar with it, but they couldn’t. The best they could do was to tell me to go online and see if I could find the manual. They did what they were supposed to do. I don’t have a lot to compare them with because I couldn’t find people out there who worked on that brand. So, I think they were average. When it comes to the quality, it still works. It seems to be working fine, but they couldn’t do as much as I wanted them to do. They couldn’t really familiarize me with the product. They didn’t know enough about the product. When it comes to the punctuality, they were on time. So, they were punctual. There was nothing special about them and nothing stood out. I would use them again only for the brand that I have since I don’t have an option. I probably wouldn’t call them for more common brands.
Description of Work: Bill Leech Repair Service replaced the sensors in my ovens on the 7th of September, 2010. The lower oven was opening further than it should have instead of it being flat at 90 degrees. So, they replaced the hinges in the door of that oven.

The door on my microwave wouldn't stay shut. I thought I would have to have them come out, since it is built in(over the range). But they described how I could remove it just by taking out some simple screws, thus saving me expensive home visit. It's a nice little business, very old school. They took the microwave and fixed in one day. They charge a minimum fee of $35 to look at it, which was fine. He charged me another $30 when I picked it up. At that point it seemed like more money than was necessary for such a simple little plastic part. But $65 to get it fixed is worth it. I would go there again, it was way more personal and easy than trying to call the Maytag 800 number, that was a total waste of time. They definitely know what they are doing.
