I highly recommend Baker’s Wildlife Services. From his first visit to access raccoon damage in the basement to his final visit to seal off the entry point, Mr. Baker was highly competent and took a comprehensive approach. He followed a specific protocol to trap the raccoons, insure all animals were gone, and then, finally, capped off the place where they had gotten into the house. Mr. Baker came almost every single day to oversee the process from start to finish. We couldn’t have asked for a more capable individual to deal with the situation and are completely satisfied with the services provided.

In November of 2017 I called to learn more information about a bat problem in our house. Kevin was great and explained everything. He explained that since the bats were hibernating, there was nothing we could do at that time and to call May 1 of the following year. He explained there was a small window of time where we could take action before mating season starts in June. I called him May 1, 2018 and he told me I had to wait longer for the bats to get active. I called mid-May to check in as I knew we had a small window of time to address the issue and he got upset at me for following up and told me my name was on a list and he would call me when the bats were active enough. June and July passed and I did not follow up as I thought there was nothing that could be done since it was mating season. I allowed for August to pass waiting for a returned phone call and scared to follow up and upset him again. Finally, at the end of August I called to check in. As I began to introduce myself, and said I had called earlier and my name should be on his list, he cut me off and said, "yeah, well I lost the list." We talked some more and I explained that I thought we knew where the bat was entering and he became upset and told me the entry point would not be that low to the ground. I responded with "well, you would know better than me, but we do think we found an area with more activity." Next, he began to explain his pricing for initial visits and follow up visits. At that point I brought up the fact that we brought someone else out in 2016 who could not find any issues and I was concerned that he may not find anything and what happens then. Perhaps I should have been more blunt and asked directly if nothing is found what the cost would have been (still fully expecting to pay for the initial visit) or if there would be follow ups if the problem continued, but I was trying to nicely tiptoe around the issue as he seemed agitated. At that point, he screamed at me "Jesus F****** Christ" and hung up. Except he didn't hang up. I could hear him continue to swear, yell and mumble about me. Then, I heard his conversation with another person. He was very upset that I thought the entry point of the bats was low equating it to questioning a mechanic working on your car. Again, just to reiterate, I never challenged him on this point of high vs. low entry, but said, "well, you would know better than me." I thought it was perfectly reasonable to assume that the entry point might be higher, but around the same area. Guess not. I was shaking and distraught at the end of the conversation. I could not believe the unprofessional nature of this phone call, especially as felt as though I was walking on eggshells to not anger him. Please be careful if you decide to proceed.

Description of Work: Bat colony infestation. Issue was addressed directly, plan laid out and timely put into place. Consummate professional, extremely well versed on the issue we had and got rid of our problem. Was out last year for rodent issues and handled that issue in the same manner. Well done.

Initial call wen well. He was professional and communicated well. He located several places where animals might be getting in. We had some fixed but left the ones on the roof with a temporary patch to allow him to put on one way bat exits when the weather warmed. When the weather warmed I called him. He came out, quoted a price of about $400 to get rid of the bats and patch and caulk. Never came to do that work. A foillow up call went unanswered. I don't have time to chase somebody to do the work. Given the sudden decline in ratings on here I wonder if something happened to him.

I hired Baker's Wildlife Service a few years ago to remove a mole from our front yard. He set traps but no mole was caught as it appeared that the mole moved to another location. Last Fall, I had severe mole damage around my patio in the back yard. I hired Kevin again to remove this mole but no mole was caught. Kevin said that he owed me a mole and if I had any problems in the coming year, he would take care of it at no charge. A few weeks ago, my husband and I discovered we had another mole in the back yard so I contacted Kevin to honor his word on catching a mole. He repeatedly told me how busy he was and that he was leaving to go out of town. However, to honor his word, he said that he would come out to our house on Tuesday, October 4 to set traps but would not be able to check on them until he returned. Kevin never showed up nor has he called me. I am not asking for my money back. I just want him to step up and honor a promise that he had made.

I first contacted Kevin the week before Memorial Day weekend. He was prompt to return my phone call and came Wednesday 6/1/16 to evaluate our house. We have a red squirrel problem and they were getting in our siding corners and were in a roof area overhanging our dining room windows. Kevin explained everything and set traps and was initially coming every day to check the traps and put new bait in them. Well, it's now been 4 weeks and I have not heard from him. A previous reviewer says the same thing, so something is obviously going on with this guy. I've left him two voicemails with no response. In my opinion this guy took our $199 and ran with it. The traps are still sitting by my porch with no bait and no squirrels, thankfully, because the squirrels would be in there with no one to release them unless we break his agreement which says we can't touch his traps or the job's over. What is up with this guy? I want my money back and will be filing a complaint with the BBB.

Kevin Baker was extremely nice and made a quick appointment for the next day. He seemed very knowledgeable and stated that the $199 to initially start his services would help cover him returning to our home to check on the progress of catching squirrels. He set up the traps, we caught one squirrel and then he never returned. We've called him repeatedly, left voicemails, and have not heard anything other than squirrels chattering in our attic. Our services started on June 1st and it is now July 8th, with my husband and father-in-law having to complete his work.

Kevin is friendly, cheerful and knowledgeable about his work. We scheduled an inspection for bats on April 14 and he showed up on time and explained everything that would be involved in removing the bats from my home's attic, taking me around my house to show what would happen where, what materials would be used and such. With that information he wrote up an estimate and agreement to do the bat eviction, and we scheduled April 19th 2016 for him to perform the work. Unfortunately, Kevin has yet to perform the removal services. As of this review it has been five weeks past our scheduled appointment date. I have reached out to Kevin by phone and he was very apologetic and explained that due to weather and overwhelming demand he has not been able to come out to my house, but was not able to give even an approximate date when he would be by to do the work. Two weeks ago I sent him a letter requesting a response if he still intended to perform the work, and if so when; I have yet to hear back from him. By Kevin's own advice, we are now moving past the optimal time to do a bat eviction so I don't expect he will be able to perform as promised.

Mr Baker returned after two days...No raccoon. He installed three chimney caps as requested...and had to come back to install two vent screens to prevent any future intrusion of any other animals. He did not return for about a week or so...was very apologetic... he stated this has been a very very busy season. A lot of calls to catch unwanted animals.... We were very pleased with his work, and would diffinitely call again if we have anymore problems.
Description of Work: Mr.Baker came out to inspect and access the situation of our raccoon sighting , he was punctual and very professional. A really pleasantly friendly person.. He was very knowledgeable of the animals behavior, gave us some suggestions and ideas on how to prevent any future problems with any kind of unwanted animals around our property. Mr Baker proceeded and set a trap to see if the raccoon would return within two days.

Had a great experience with this service provider from start to finish. We were able to get a hold of him right away and he was able to get out to the house the following day. He was up front over the phone with how he charges and the process he follows. Similar to other service providers there is a set up cost and then a charge per animal for taking them away. It took a total of 3 trips to catch all 6 of the animals. So, under a week and we had no issues with the skunks spraying. We would use this provider again.

Not many details. I called, he came over within the hour and found the skunk and removed it with little fuss. The window well was almost 5 feet deep and there was no way it could get out without assistance. Ken was thorough in explaining what he was going to do and then he did it. Skunk gone, a wee bit of spray but considering how badly it could have gone, I am very happy to have it gone. he then advised me on possible solutions to preventing this from happening again.

He missed the first appointment due to a death in the family but was actually early for the re-scheduled appointment (he called ahead to see if coming a little early would be okay). He spent quite a bit of time going around our house which is 2 1/2 stories high to check for bat entry points. He then inspected our attic. He offered a couple of options but then recommended that if we were handy, we could do what needed to be done ourselves. That kind of honesty was refreshing! He also commented that whoever did our roof used the right things to help prevent bats and that the bat company that came out before did a decent job. He felt that what we had were a few stragglers that somehow found a new way back in. We didn't use the last company because they wouldn't return our phone calls when we said we still had bats! While he had a set minimum fee, because he knew he wouldn't be doing work for us, he gave us a lower rate to cover the cost of the inspection. We would definitely call him again if we run into a rodent problem.

He works with all critters.
Description of Work: He performed a very thorough search of my attic, roof, connections between roof and sides of house...for bats---he also checked for any and all critters. More thorough than I have had in the past. He also checked to ensure that all possible vents...were protected from invasion. I thought I heard something and called him. He listened to what I said, asked appropriate questions, and explained what he could do--in detail. I was impressed with his knowledge, professionalism and friendliness, both on the telephone and in person. I I would definitely call him again and will refer him to anyone who has concerns about animals...

I thought we had a squirrel but Kevin says we have bats! Yuck. He was very thorough in telling me a little about bats and the plan to get rid of them humanely and permanently. He even listened patiently as I played him a crude recording of the mystery critter over the phone to confirm his bat diagnosis. We are at the top of the list for having a one way door installed in March when the bats "start flying". Kevin gave me quite the education on bats and their behavior (and anatomy).

Over the course of seven days we did trap a racoon (which seemed to be a passerby attracted by the bait), but also proved that there had not been any actual entry into the attic. Mr. Baker reconstrructed the damaged vent and fabricated new mesh protective covers for our four vents. His professionalism and knowledge made the whole process understandable and definitely lowered the stress level.

Completely successful, great courteous service. Mr. Baker is very knowledgeable concerning his work and he was always on time. I will definitely recommend him to others with similar problems.
Description of Work: Removed a raccoon from our attic, checked for additional creatures and checked for a litter at a later date. The Raccoon had invaded the attic through a roof vent (installed by LaFollete without asking us when a new roof was installed). The roof vents, three of them had feeble plastic guards that the the raccoon ripped open. Mr Baker suggested installing metal shields over them. He returned with the shields and completed this task, hence the higher than normal cost for simple animal removal, the cost of the 3 shields and the installation is included in the figure quoted above..
