Description of Work: Did not work in a collaborative manner. At the initial visit, he told us what items to purchase. Several were wrong and had to be repurchased. A couple of things wrong twice. When it was suggested that we take the old stuff to match for size he was snappy about being a professional and we needed to trust him. Any comment or suggestion was met with that attitude. One thing is still not right despite a 2nd effort. Some things were done very well but he was very difficult to deal with. Would not use him again.

Description of Work: My heater was not working when he came to do the check up. He got it working again and identified the problem that could occur again. Several days later the problem did re-occur. He came back and thoroughly cleaned the furnace at no additional charge. It has worked fine ever since.

Description of Work: Overall,I had a maintenance inspection of my furnace and air conditioner. Both are less than two years old. Therefore, there were no problems with either. However, the service provider provided me with information on replacing the filter on the furnace and a humidifier attached to the furnace. The information was very helpful.

Description of Work: Our furnace blower stopped working when the AC was running and we had water on the floor. Bill came over and checked everything out. Come to find out, some how the drip pan shifted and wasn't running towards the drain. That was the reason we had water on the floor. Due to all the mosture the wiring couldn't complete it's circuit to run the blower. Bill repositioned the pan and dried everything out. Then it worked good as new. We would definitely use Bill again. He was honest and very professional.

+ -1 moreWe called several places in the Lansing area that supposedly specialized in gas fireplaces. Many wouldn't work on anything they didn't sell you (at a very high price). Another company in a town only 8 miles away wanted $270 just to come out and LOOK at our fireplace. I finally looked on Angie's List and found that many heating and cooling companies service gas fireplaces. We called All Weather and the gentlemen was great. He was prompt and courteous, and only wanted a reasonable $85 to take a look. After looking at the unit, he discovered that it wasn't faulty at all, it just needed to have a few wires tightened. So there were no additional charges. It is very rare to find someone today that will charge a reasonable price, give good friendly service, and will not try to sell you something you don't really need. All Weather was competent, and A+ great. We have kept his information as we will undoubtedly have heating and cooling needs soon. I really recommend their services.
Description of Work: All Weather is owned and operated by the individual who performed the services. We hired them to troubleshoot a gas fireplace that went on and off intermittently. A previous contractor had looked at it a couple of years ago, and told us (after doing a basic cleaning) that we would probably need to replace the primary ignitor/gas control unit.

+ -1 moreBill arrived in about 10 minutes after I called him at 4pm.-he introduced himself-went to my thermostat-went outside to check my a/c unit-went downstairs and check out my entire heating unit-ended up fixing my dehumidifier, also Bill is very professional and above all he is HONEST I would recommend him to my family and friends, in a heartbeat!
Description of Work: My air conditioner was turned off but continued to run outside, however, no air was coming inside.It was 4pm, my hopes of getting anyone to come out were nil but then I called Bill, owner of All Weather Mechanical. He came out in about 10 minutes. He fixed the a/c problem with a stroke of his hand. I also told Bill that the air coming from my registers was inadequate. He also is going to fix that problem on August 7, 2012. He was kind enough to get my dehumidifer going. He is the owner and sole technician. -He is honest-he won't lie and tell me he can fix something that is not fixable-his prices are reasonable-he does quality work-he is very professional Anyone who is having a problem with their heating, a/c, water heater, duct cleaning, humidifier, fireplace (be it wood, gas, electric or Biomass) You would be doing yourself and your wallet a favor by calling Bill at All Weather Mechanical.

+ 0 moreBill was referred to me by another plumber on Angie's List who could not perform the work due to being out of town. Bill did not charge me extra for working on Saturday. He said he would be here at 2:00 PM, he arrived at 1:15. This was actually more convenient for me. Bill was not judgmental on the condition of my basement, which is cluttered (but not horribly so) and rather grimy. The leaking water heater was replaced with a brand new one and the old one hauled away. He was considerate of my floors and the need to protect my pets. The job took about 2 hours to complete and the cost was the lowest of the price range he quoted me. I would definitely call All Weather Mechanical again for any heating, air conditioning, or water heater needs.
Description of Work: I found that my 40-gallon water heater tank had sprung a leak and it wouldn't be long before my basement was flooded. I called a plumber from Angie's List but he was unavailable. He referred me to someone else and called that person for me. I needed a new water heater. It could not be repaired.

I appreciate that he did not try to take advantage of the emergency situation. The next day he changed the leaky gas line in the house.

I also had great luck in getting him out and getting things done at the right time during the first time. I also used him during the last winter for some furnace work.
