Great job throughout the entire process. Larry is one of the best contractors I have ever worked with in any industry. Installed a new AC, new smart thermostat for us and also improved the duct work for an excellent price. Highly Recommended!

Everything went great, Larry came out when expected, quickly got to work and found the problem. He didn't have the part that was needed in his truck (proper size capacitor) so he went and got one and came back to install the same day. Highly Recommend.

Larry is great - fair, dependable, trustworthy. We gave him the key to our house and went on vacation while he replaced the furnace. Knowledgeable about older homes (ours was built in the 1920s), he installed a reasonable priced furnace that is quiet, with a better air filter and we have lower energy bills.

They were there on time, and they fixed the problem.

Larry ran into some unforeseen surprises, but kept to his word and his original quote. I was very pleased with his efforts and the results.

We woke up to a super cold house on Sunday morning, but didn’t get around to calling anyone until Monday. Larry had come recommended through a local networking group, so I called him up first thing on Monday morning and he was able to come out that day to check things out. He called before heading over and arrived a short time later. He was incredibly nice, very knowledgeable, and he took the time to explain to me what he was doing and why (upon my request). Within an hour, he had our heat up and running and the cost for repair was super fair. Going forward, we’ll only call Larry for AC/furnace needs.

So I dealt with another company before I found Larry. They were very nice, but the guy they sent didn't seem to know what he was doing. So I asked some friends, and Larry came highly recommended from 3 or 4 people that I know and trust. He was fantastic. He was reasonably priced, found me the best equipment, and did a great job. He also recommended upkeep, and the lowest cost route to maintenance. You can really tell he's a guy who cares about his customers. The recommendations that I got were spot on. He's great, and I feel so lucky to have been given his info. If you need HVAC done by somebody you can really trust, who very clearly knows what he's doing, call him. Very reasonably priced, and such a great job!

I have had my 2-stage 95% efficient Maytag furnace, installed by Larry Kirchoff of All Star Mechanical for two years now. I have been very happy that I went with Larry's suggestion of a smaller furnace than the one originally installed when my house was built. This furnace keeps my house evenly warm and the efficiency gives me the lowest energy bills in the neighborhood according to Consumer Energy. I had been advised that proper installation is the most important factor in getting a new furnace. All Star Mechanical is owned and operated by Larry Kirchoff who takes great pride in his work. His attention to good installation reflects his excellent reputation. He came back after 1 year to check the furnace and make sure everything was working perfectly, and he did it again this year!

Since installing the furnace, our gas bill rarely tops 100 dollars per month throughout the winter. The installation was excellent. I've been told by friends and family that the duct work is first-class, professional work. I'm not surprised. Larry was very thorough in the installation process. He made sure we had the right furnace and the right number of ducts and vents. The heat travels throughout the house efficiently and the furnace rarely needs to run. It's also very quiet. Most importantly, we are much, much warmer. We were a little skeptical buying the very unfamiliar Maytag brand furnace and wondered about the quality. We knew they built dishwashers, but furnaces? Larry assured us it was a high quality furnace and the 12 year warranty sealed the deal for us. He also said a good installation would ensure the furnace would last a long time without problems. He was right. The furnace has been problem free since 2013. Servicing it is simple and takes Larry 20 to 30 minutes each fall. I also like the fact that the installer is always servicing the very furnace he installed. We have the two-stage furnace, and I recommend the slightly extra cost. It's very efficient and very quiet. We were new to the area when we bought our house and the furnace was one of the first purchases we made for our home. We considered other bigger companies, but they charged more and we were as convinced of the quality of work. Choosing Larry, a local, independent business owner, after reading his excellent Angie's List reviews was the absolutely the right choice. We've had an excellent experience working with him and love our Maytag furnace.

Larry is the guy. He's come through for us during emergencies, and he's super when it comes to maintenance -- never trying to oversell you or upsell you on things you don't need, but always doing what needs doing right. We've just had him back again because of some trouble with our thermostat. Not only does he fix it right up, but he suggests a new and better thermostat, and then installs it immediately. He's so generous with his loyal customers because he knows we will rave about him to others. Don't go with the big names, go with Allstar.

Great job done by Larry. Came to do initial check to see what we needed. Went over several options and helped us choose the right system for the size of our home. No upselling no pressure. After we decided he had the whole thing installed in no time and was prompt and even stayed late to finish at time promised.

He does a really good job. He didn't charge me. Those kind of service, you can get free. We bought a new system from him two years ago and he just wrapped it right into it, as part of the new install.

Amazing! I called Larry around midday and he made it to our place by mid-afternoon, after finishing work on other scheduled jobs. He checked the air conditioner out and discovered we needed a new capacitor, which he (luckily) had on his truck. Thirty minutes later, our air conditioner was working again. Larry has always been quick and affordable and he does great work. And he couldn't be a nicer guy.

Larry replaced a broken capacitor in our unit, which restored the outdoor fan and central air flow within the house. Larry also diagnosed a refrigerant leak and provided a quote for new refrigerant prior to proceeding. Additionally, he answered all questions regarding the age of the unit (25 years) and options for replacement. Larry was timely, professional and efficient. I look forward to keeping him as our HVAC professional for maintenance and replacement. Thanks Larry for getting my young family comfortable again so quickly!

We schedule a time to do the work that was convenient for both of us (I was not in a rush to get this done). Larry came out on time and we discussed the job before he started. He set up quickly and got to work. Job took around 1 1/2 hrs and looks great. Took the time to explain what he did and why. Cleaned up and didn't leave a mess. Very happy working with Larry and would contact him if I needed heating/cooling/gas line work again. Added bonus: he took the time to answer some questions that I had about our gas fireplace that was installed in the house when we bought it (no instruction manual). He didn't need to do this and didn't get paid extra but he was happy to do so. Just a nice guy.

It went great. I don't know anything about furnaces but Larry removed the old one and got the new one in and installed the same day! I couldn't ask for more!

All Star Mechanical came in a pinch after hours when my furnace motor died. Larry (owner of All Star Mechanical) was able to diagnose the problem in the evening and had a replacement motor procured (under warranty) by early the next morning. He had it installed soon after. Just as I had experienced a few years earlier, Larry was extremely responsive and prompt and he went out of his way to procure the replacement motor quickly. He goes the extra mile for his customers. He has become my go-to guy for all heating and cooling services. I'm sure that's true for many others as well.

Very helpful and considerate! Larry has accomplished what 2 other contractors couldn't and has been more than fair with cost. So far, excellent experience. He is working on a permanent fix for a situation created by a careless installer nearly one year ago. Would recommend him to anyone! Thank you Larry!

My husband and I are so glad we chose All Star Mechanical! They were great about scheduling the job promptly and showed up during the scheduled window of time (two hour window, and also with a call about 20 mins before he arrived). Larry was very professional and courteous. He took of his shoes and donned some indoor clogs he'd brought with. He looked our heating system over well, and even explained its condition and age. There was no sales pressure, he just educated me about what is in place, and very efficiently did safety checks and cleaning of our furnace. And the work was billed within the amount of the original estimate, which is always nice! My husband and I feel we got great value and service, and it's reassuring to now know a reliable and honest heating person to call. We'll certainly call upon All Star again! Larry has been servicing my furnace and AC for the past 6 years and has done excellent work. He is good at explaining everything and letting me know what potential issues the furnace might have down the road, but he never pushes anything on me that is not necessary. His honesty and openness inspire confidence in his services. I have come to expect the best from Larry and he never fails to deliver.

I have used Larry several times in the past. On this occasion as in the past, Larry promptly returned my call and scheduled a mutually convenient time to do the work. He called me prior to arriving to let me know he was on his way. The drain pump only needed to be cleaned out and not replaced, which he did. He also replaced the humidifier filter and took the time to show me how to do it so I wouldn't need to schedule a service call again next year. In addition, Larry took the time to describe how best to use a humidifier. I cannot imagine hiring anyone else for any of my mechanical needs.

This is the second time I've called All Star Mechanical. Both times Larry responded to my voicemail within a couple hours of my call. Probably an hour actually. Both times he came out right away. This time it was after hours when he had plans with his family. He came, checked a few of the simple things that it could've been and found the problem right away. It was an ignition failure. Last time it was my A/C needed charging. Both times the fix was not the most expensive, but he treated me like I was buying a new furnace. I highly recommend All Star Mechanical.
