Larry is the person I dealt with. I was really pleased with him. I don’t remember what he charged me, but I thought it was fair. He got back with me right away. His customer service was excellent from the minute I called him to each time he needed to come out. He always returned the calls and came right out when he said he was going to come. I will definitely use him again in the future.

Our A/C needed to be replaced and our furnace was old as well. Larry explained our various options and gave us quotes for each one. We were interested in a heat pump w/ a furnace back-up system and he was very familiar w/ the options for doing that. He was professional, prompt and realiable. He finished when he said he would and everything was neat and clean when he was done. He explained how everything worked and how to maintain it before he left and actually upgraded the furnace for the same cost. We plan to use him for any maintenance required and would not hesitate to recommend him to others. I called all the references he provided and people could not say enough good things about him.

Larry first came to our home in response to our request for service. Our central air unit was not performing well at all. He spent a great deal of time trying to get the unit working at an optimum level, however, we ultimately decided it would need to be replaced. We were on a tight timeframe, with several family members scheduled to visit the following week. Larry squeezed us into his schedule, and installed the new unit within two days. By the time our family arrived the following week, our home was back to being nicely cooled. Larry was fantastic to work with, and we would HIGHLY recommend him.

We got All Star Mechanical/Larry Kirchoff's name and number from a relative who had used his services in the past. He was very responsive to our calls and came out on a Saturday to let us know what work needed to be done. His presentation was very professional and he never pressured us to buy any particular model or to replace both the AC and the furnace (only the AC was broken but both had been installed 18 years ago and the furnace had already had 2 repairs in that time). He showed up with a helper 5 days later in the morning and by the next evening, he had both the old AC and Furnace removed, the new ones installed, everything cleaned up and he explained the new equipment to us. He offered to get us new filters whenever we need them and to service the units, if we would like. He promised to file the paperwork for the $400 rebate from Consumers' Energy for our new energy efficient furnace. They did a spectacular job of cleaning up and it was a pleasure to come home to a cooler house tonight. Excellent Job and we know that we can call on him if we have any questions or problems - which is very reassuring! He even showed us about Angie's list and we signed up and used the coupon toward the cost of the project.

Larry was very prompt, professional, and knowledgable. He recognized the problem with the hot water heater and adjusted the pipe so it ventilated smoothly. We were concerned about the efficiency of our central air conditioner as it is old. Larry performed a thorough inspection and cleaning. He measured the efficiency, made some adjustments, and assured us it still has a couple of years of operation in it. His fee was more than reasonable, and we will certainly call on him for any of our heating and cooling needs in the future.

We cannot say enough good things about Larry of All Star Mechanical.It cost us $95 to be told by Hager Fox it would not be worth it to fix our combination AC/Heater unit in our condo. Hager Fox said it would be less expensive to purchase an entirely new unit at a minimum of $4200. They were also rude to my husband on the phone after he questioned their assessment after doing some research. We joined Angie's List to get other options. We read so many things about All Star that we decided to schedule a consultation, careful this time to make sure it would not cost us anything to get an appraisal of the situation as we found out the hard way with Hager Fox. When Larry came to assess the situation, he not only fixed it, but the charge was about $550 and completed in 2-1/2 hours. I actually teared up because of what he was able to do for us. There are just no words. In this struggling economy it is refreshing that there are honest, wholesome people out there. We are on a fixed income and working to make ends meet. I discovered my AC was not working on Saturday around 5:30 pm. I called Larry at All Star Mechanical and he arrived by 8pm. Larry was very professional and diagnosed and fixed the problem within an hour. Very thankful to All Star Mechanical for coming out and taking care our problem on the weekend!

Larry was great from the beginning. When he cam e over for the estimate, he took a look at my house and made all the necessary measurements for his estimate. Then, he sat me down and went aover all of my options, explaining the entire process, showing me his certifications and giving me recommendations, which were not necessarily the most expensive routes. His quote was fair and very reasonably priced for the work that he told me he would perform. After deciding to hire Larry, he recommended a good electrician to come in and do the necessary wiring to my breaker box, as my house had previously not had A/C. When he came over, he got right to work and didn't stop until the job was finished. Upon completion of the installation, he cleaned everything up and walked me through everything that he had done to make sure that I understood. The quality of the work was first rate and looks great! The unit is running nicely and I could not be happier with the work that he did. He went above and beyond what most A/C installers would have done and I would call Larry up again in a heartbeat the next time I needed some work done on my furnace/AC unit. Great guy and great work. You won't be disappointed if you go with Allstar Mechanical.

Larry was amazing to work with. He was very accommodating to my schedule, coming over after 7pm for our initial meeting. He made sure I fully understood all the work that would be done before he started anything. The equipment runs quietly and efficiently. When the first heat-wave of the spring came through I received a phone call from Larry and he came out to get the central air system running. I was blown away by the fact that All Star Mechanical contacted ME to set this up, I didn?t have to call and schedule an appointment or anything. I would recommend All Star Mechanical to everybody with heating/cooling question/problems. Their customer service is top notch. I'm glad I found someone in the HVAC world that is trustworthy and a hardworking!

Larry arrived on time and got right to work. He did everything I had wanted done, he even hooked up my new gas stove for me. Larry showed me how to use the humidifier, what to look for with the central air how to no if it is not working correctly and instructed me when would be the right time to call for service. He answered every question I had. Explained to me over the phone before the appointment what products he had available for the humidifier and what he would recommend. Larry is a very nice and professional person to work with and I will use his services again in the future for any heating or A/C issues I may have. His rates are very reasonable and he was on the job at my house for a little over 4 hours he is someone I would recommend to anyone in need of these services.

We have owned our home for 10 years and have known that we would need to replace the original 40 year old furnace. We put it off year after year due to the expense and also because my husband does most improvement projects in our house (not HVAC though). In the past, we have had bad luck with home improvement contractors. I asked for HVAC recommendations from our friends, and one highly recommended Larry from All Star. I called him and he performed a very thorough inspection and provided us with a very competitve estimate. He was punctual, professional, friendly, knowledgeable, and just very easy to deal with. We ended up having Larry replace our furnace and aging air conditioner (that had to be recharged each summer). We cannot give a higher recommendation for a person or business! Our ONLY regret is that we did not have Larry do the work SOONER! Larry is a super honest guy that completely stands behind his work. He put in top of the line, quality equipment in the most professinal manner for the price we would have paid for cheaper, less quality equipment. He came back to hook up the air conditioner the first warm spell we had in MARCH! And was even apologetic that he hadn't made it sooner. Honestly, we never would have even thought to use air conditioning in Michigan in March. He was more than willing to answer questions and returned called immediately. I am so glad that we went with All Star and know that Larry will stand behind his work.

Larry is phenomenal. He is extremely honest, professional and neat. He started by giving us a range of furnace and AC options, with his recommendations for what he thought would be the best choice for our house (and they were not the most expensive). The price quotes included all costs, so we knew what the final price would be. He started and ended the job on time. Everything that was installed looks neat and tidy. The furnace is soooo quiet, and by installing a lower power furnace than we previously had, it provides more steady and comfortable heat (and costs less). A year later when one of the zone controls malfunctioned, he came out the same day and repaired it free of charge. In summary, we highly recommend All-Star Mechanical.

All items were installed with a high degree of professionalism, and All-Star worked with us to receive our rebate from the state for the high-efficiency furnace. I would highly recommend them and will use them again.

My (very) old furnace broke during a particularly cold week this January and I decided it needed to be replaced. I got four estimates on options and ended up using All Star for a 95% efficient single-stage furnace and new thermostat. I went with All Star because not only was the estimate provided the lowest, but Larry went above-and-beyond in service and care. He was the only one to provide me with an energy usage estimate and helped me to understand the size of furnace I would need. He took time to answer all of my questions and provided me with information that helped me to understand not just his products but more general information about furnaces. In addition, Larry offered to lend me space heaters to keep my house warm while my furnace was out and brought these space heaters during the installation day. In addition to this great service, Larry was always on time and available to me when I had questions. I would recommend Larry and All Star not only for the great work that he did and the price that he offers, but also because he is very easy to work with and clearly cares about doing the best work to meet his customer's needs. As someone who knew nothing about furnaces at the beginning, I felt comfortable that Larry was providing me with accurate information and had my best interest in mind.

The installation began on a Friday morning and the furnace was installed and operating before 5 pm. They were very neat and cleaned up completely when finished. They returned on Monday morning to install the air conditioner and were done early in the afternoon. They will be back in the spring when weather permits to check out the air conditioner and make sure it runs properly. We are very happy with the whole process--from the estimate given to the completed job. I would highly recommend them.

Came within a couple hours of the phone call. Identified the problem and fixed it. Since I know nothing about heating and cooling he could have taken advantage of my ignorance and worked up a big bill. He did not. Was honest, direct and fixed the problem immediately.

I called All Star Mechanical and described my problem: "My water heater got splashed with a good amount of water and went out. I re-lit the pilot but tap water remained barely warm. I turned up the thermostat a little higher than it was originally, to no avail. So I shut it off rather than risk escalating the problem by turning it up even more." He advised me that it sounded like my water heater should be okay and that for him come out could be a waste of my money, that he could check a few things but really I should just turn it up. How honest and professional! I concluded to try turning the thermostat up even more. Well, when I re-lit it this time, I must have done something different, because now the water is hot even at the original thermostat setting. (I'm afraid I may have never turned the gas valve from "pilot" to "on" the first time... how embarrassing.) Anyway, I'm just glad he was honest and stopped me from wasting my money, which would have gone into his pocket. I will definitely seek service from All Star Mechanical in the future.

He did an excellent job and was very pleasant to work with. His heating/cooling analysis saves customers money and creates a better result. I had to leave town during the installation and I had complete confidence that he would perform the work as promised. I will definitely use him for annual unit check-ups from now on.
