I started a project in my home to remodel my Master Bedroom. Once we got to the floor we went to Northern Flooring to check out what they had. We were greeted by Matt and he sat us down first to ask us a few questions to find out our wants and needs. Once we told him our needs like spill resistant, kid resistant, pet resistant, he took us to a few different selections. We felt the carpet and it was so soft and plush we knew this was the one. My wife and I could not pick a color and were struggling on what to get. Matt then sent us over to one of his in house designers and again they started asking us a few questions, like what color paint is on the walls and trim, what color is the bed spread things I would of never have thought of trying to coordinate. After we got done with that we had the color nailed down to 2. We made our selection with the help of Matt for the feel and the strength of the carpeting and then we used the designers recommendation to get our color. Our experience was outstanding and Northern flooring had the biggest selection we had seen. We scheduled the install and they came on time and did the job excellent I could not find the seams and it was a great job. They respected our home and were very polite. We highly recommend Northern Flooring and you should definitely stop in and get the royal treatment from there staff.

Matt from Northern Flooring is extremely knowledgeable on all things flooring. After I made the mistake of going with someone else he was there to answer my questions and recommend what I can do to fix my messed up flooring. Don't make my mistake, go with Matt and Northern Flooring and you won't be disappointed.

I went into the store looking for the lowest cost flooring possible for the two rooms because we are getting ready to sell. They let me take the samples home to show my husband and confirm. They sent a man out to measure the rooms and document all the work that would be required for both rooms, and he recommended a next level up improvement in the laminate because of the cement slab flooring. Also my husband didn't like my choices, so we went in and chose more uplevel floors for both rooms. About a week later 2 guys showed up in the morning and did both rooms within the same day. I was originally told this could take up to 3 days so I was thrilled. I had to go in and out a few times over the day, and leave the installers here, and by the time I got back from my last errand they were done and it looked absolutely great!

After years of waiting, I finally did it. After getting Wallside windows last December, I started shopping for my new Hardwood floors. I get three estimates from the Local Press pick of the top 3 stores in Oakland county. The floor brand wasn't a big company and the samples weren't really current, but the other companies I talked to all had good things to say about Matt and Northern Flooring and they said the price was as good or better than they could do. I couldn't really find any other floor samples to compare it to anywhere else. Ken, the measure guy, was very very pleasant and helpful, he used to own his own flooring store in North Carolina before he retired and moved north so his wife could be near her aged parents. Everything was very professional and Ken even came out a second time to look at the job after I tore out all the all flooring. He told me what I needed to hear about getting everything set for the installers 3 weeks later. The installers did a very good job. I DO handyman work for a living but have never done a floor and I didn't want to risk my big investment in the wood. I KNOW good craftsmanship when I see it and these guys are certainly worth the expense of getting the job done professionally. They did the job I hoped for and when, AFTER 3 days of looking at one area that DID disappoint me, Matt listened well, had Ken come out again and look at the work AND my problem with the small portion of it. The additional box of wood required was ordered the Next Day and yesterday, just a week later, I am very happy to say that I am Pleased with everything about the product, the work and the company.
