Service was prompt and I am assuming it will be effective. Jeff is very easy to work with so if there are any remaining issues I wouldn't hesitate to hire him again. He was also very reasonable compared to other local electricians. I believe he is trustworthy rather than greedy.

It went perfect and exactly as planned. He was onetime, powered through the job quickly when I was in a rush to get back to work, he was very efficient and a great guy! I would recommend him to anyone. I wish he did other trades because he is the ideal person you are looking for anything. If I could vote A+ I would.

I called JN for work a variety of work for my new, very old house. I wanted new outlets, some old shop lights replaced, and three complex ethernet runs installed. Jeff came out that day to take a look; he agreed that the electrical looked straight forward but the ethernet looked complex at best. "I'm busy now but I'll come back in three or four weeks." A week later I get a text, yes a text, saying that "I am going to have to pass on your ethernet and power project." "Extremely busy." Two parts that burn me here. One, a text rather than a phone call is pretty unprofessional. And two, why did he have to wait a week to tell me this? I could have looked for another electrician that day. He doesn't fail completely - Ds instead of Fs - because he did come out the day I called to take a look. I guess his great ratings on AL have made him too busy for some projects. Keep that in mind if you call him.

This is the second time I have used Jeff's company for work and each time I am more impressed. Though Jeff stays very busy, he still made me feel like a priority and showed up on time, with the right tools and material to get the job done, and charges a very fair price. He ran a new underground cable to bring my garage up to code and installed a brand new electrical service on my home. Everything was completed and I couldn't be happier.

Contacted Jeff about installing a new 100 amp service from the service panel to an existing panel in the garage. Jeff kept in contact until he could come out and see the job before providing an estimate. Was very prompt at returning to complete the service upgrade. Project completed on time, inspected and finished up coming in at the estimated price. Was so pleased with his service we had him come back and install a power port for our generator to hook into the house during power outages. Have already recommended him to a few friends.

We had JN install new kitchen appliances in our TC home last summer and they turned out great, we've been very happy with them overall. They also removed/added some electrical outlets in our basement and we've been happy with the work they've done Jeff is very professional, and I was comfortable having him in our home.

Jeff came out, checked the supplies (I had already purchased the fan) gave an estimate of $125 to $150. Came back in @ 2 weeks, discovered he did not have the right supplies, the proper length down rod, but went ahead and was able to finish the job. The fan looked nice. I started to write the check, but he would not take payment that day. He asked if he could email the bill. When the bill came it was for $250, he stated he had to adjust the bill as it had taken him longer because he did not have the right length down rod. If he had told me that a longer one was needed when he first came out, I would have purchased one. I don't think he knew, and that cost me $100 for an $18 down rod He is a nice young man. I am not sure if I will call him in the future, but will have a signed written contract in place before any work is done. I may have approved the work at $250, but do not like the 'switch up'. I am leary of trusting this provider for a bigger job with even more money on the line.

It was great! They were very punctual, did exactly what they said they'd do, were friendly, and cleaned up very well.

Found the trouble in the wall outlet and fixed it We are going to have them expand our electrical panel in a non-emergency timeframe next.

It's no surprise that Jeff has tons of great reviews - he's a great guy! My experience started with him arriving to provide an estimate, which he turned around in a timely fashion and was more than happy to offer suggestions to make this house perfect. We agreed on a contract and Jeff promptly install a temporary service panel. He remained in contact throughout the entire process and now has finished my rough-in install, easily accommodating many changes along the way. Jeff was very personable, professional, & thorough. I found him on Angie's List & all of the positive ratings were 100% true. He remained in contact with me when the harsh weather & frozen ground delayed work. He rescheduled a.s.a.p., pulled permits, & scheduled the inspection with the utmost efficiency. Jeff's work was completed on schedule and as estimated, he cleaned up everything, and has followed up several times to ensure I was satisfied. He has answered all of my odd questions as a first time homeowner with an 1886 farmhouse, within a 24 hour turn around. Jeff made a point of arranging to meet me in person before the work, as our communication had been online/over the phone. He even capped & boxed a mystery wire we found when opening a wall. I will definitely be hiring him again for future upgrades & to trace mystery switches. Of all the electricians (five) I solicited for estimates, he was the most friendly, knowledgeable, fair, and best rated. Note: I marked work performed at provider location only b/c I didn't want my full address published. My house that he worked on is in within the city limits of Traverse City.

Jeff and crew rewired my entire house and installed a Gererac generator for my wife and I. They did all work on time and did a professional job. We also threw many changes at him during the job and he never complained. He had a lot of ideas on lighting that we would not have thought of. Jeff showed up on time for each job he's done for me, he's done a great job (even in bad weather, he was out there trenching electrical to outbuildings for me) and he seems reasonably priced. Jeff is very professional and gives good guidance on options. I will hire him any time I need an electrician, he's dependable, reasonalbe and a normal guy (which sounds funny but as a single woman that means a lot!!!). Thanks Jeff!!

He's awesome and really, really good! Went through three electricians before him. He was prompt, wasn't expensive, and showed up on time. Is still following up on his work.

Jeff was professional, perrsonable and professional. He responded quickly, came over when he said he would, looked at what I wanted, made some suggestions and asked me in depth what I wanted and why. When he checked the main panel for available slots, he noted he could do it, but that the service (20 yr old) was only 100 amp and with what I had talked about that could become a limit at some time in the future. When I asked for an estimate for upgrading, he said he could do it for $1500, which he did. Upgrading the main service required the local utility to do work on their line from the street to the house and him doing the necessary changes at the same time inside. On top of that, the county electrical inspector had to be scheduled to approve the work before electricity could be turned back on. It took a couple tries ( and many phone calls by Jeff) to coordinate the utility and inspector to make it a one day job. When the inspector didn't show up at the appointed time, Jeff had to do some quick diplomacy to get the county to complete its end of the bargain. The upgrade was done in one day. The drops and changes were completed a few days later. Jeff gave me lots of forewarning and explained just what would happen, which gave me time to plan and not lose any perishable food. When the job was done, one new circuit (for a couple machines) kept tripping the GFI he'd put in. Jeff came back and removed the GFI without cost.

Our renovation project was a work in progress. JN ELECTRIC was very flexible, prompt and provided quality work. Very accommodating to our change orders and tweaks to the scope. Would definitely recommend and use for future projects...

Excellent Service Double Plus! JN Electrical was there within a short time of my initial phone call. Two electric outlets back-to-back in a wall between rooms had been working intermittently, then failed completely. The source of the problem was explained to me, and the problem was corrected. Others, as well as Jeff, told me I could have taken care of this myself, but it was a relief to have the assurance of a licensed electrician (especially since my daughter's family recently lost all belongings and pets in a house fire which began in an old outlet!) On another occasion, we were trouble-shooting the same sort of outlet problem on one side of the kitchen (into which the the refrigerator was plugged!) and finally figured out the probable cause: an outlet on the other side of the room! We called JN Electrical to confirm that, and also complete the repair - which was again wires that weren't wrapped around the screws or not through the obsolete post-type outlets. JN Electrical also followed behind and checked some new outlets I was installing in a basement-finishing project, as well as hooked them up to the main box. I really appreciate the quick response, work done well, and all for what I consider a more than reasonable price. If necessary, we will definitely call JN Electrical in the future.
