The crew arrived on time, set up and went right to work. They did a great job.

Phil and his son did the cutting in, then proceeded to paint the entire house within the agreed time. They also cleaned up and put supplies away.

Great! The work was done in a quality professional manner. We were so pleased that we had them back the next day and scheduled to have them back next week.

It went great so far as I know, I was not there when they provided the service. It looked good from the ground floor. Phil did my job on short notice and everything looked great when I got there. I would do business with Phil again.

Dun Rite showed up at the agreed time and got right to work. They worked right through the day and were able to finish the job in one day as I had hoped. In addition to that work they offered me a good price to do the power washing before staining, which was needed after not being done in so many years. They washed the cottage and then also power washed the attached deck and a small garden shed for good measure! We're also having them look at washing and staining a much larger deck on my nearby home.

Very impressive work from beginning to end... I had not imagined the walls would look as good as they do. They painted the banged up old farmhouse walls so the walls looked practically new. The painters were professional, responsive and courteous, punctual, and the job site was left clean and tidy. I purchased an Angie?s List special: Three painters for one day, for a set price. I believed the special involved three individual, professional painters for some 21-24 total man hours ? a typical work day. When Mr. O'Hara arrived to survey the job, he suggested the actual labor would exceed the scope of the special. I accepted that and made adjustments in my expectations. Mr. O'Hara assured me I would be happy with the results. I pointed out several small nail holes and drywall nail ?pops? that needed to be filled and repaired before painting. Mr. O'Hara assured me all would be taken care of; he was so busily focused on telling me I would be happy that I believe he never heard my requests to do the spackling repairs. In addition, I asked him to estimate the amount of paint needed and gave him a check to purchase 5 gallons; the boys and I used 2 gallons, leaving 3 gallons of no use to me. I could not pin down the date when the work would begin. When I inquired, Mr. O''Hara assured me ?soon,? as he was finishing another job. This continued for approximately two months. When Mr. O'Hara finally called, he gave me one evening to prepare for the work the following day. I moved all the furniture/pictures out of the work area. On work day, two young men arrived on schedule, with Mr. O'Hara following a half hour later. He instructed the young men about what to do, left and never returned. The two young men ?completed? the entire scope of the job in 6.5 hours (13 man hours). When I inquired about the ?three painters for one day? I was informed the boys would return the following day to paint another room. I moved the furniture from the work site. The two young men ?completed? painting another room. In total, they completed 18 man hours of work. I believe the young men did what they were instructed by Mr. O'Hara to do. The reasons for my dissatisfaction include Mr. O'Hara assured me nail holes and drywall nail pops would be fixed. They were not ? they were painted over. I fixed them myself and painted over them. Light switch cover plates were not removed from the walls being painted. Around several light switch covers there was a ½ inch margin on the wall where no paint was applied at all ? leaving an unpainted ?halo? around the switch cover. I had to paint these myself. These oversights weren't noticed the first night due to lighting. Overall, this was a highly frustrating experience. I have taken much time thinking about this review and shared the opportunities for improvement with the O'Haras. I feel it is my obligation to other Angie's List members to write that I?d recommend against using them for smaller, interior painting jobs.

There was a TON of cleaning and prep work to do and Dun-Rite did a great job with all of it. The cottage looks fantastic!

I called and finally got in touch with him. He showed up to look at the house. He told me he would be back out to do the work on July 4th, I bought the paint and he never showed back up to do the job.

We are very happy with Dun Rite Paintings work for us. Philip promptly responded to our inquiry. Did MORE than agreed, as in when he power washed before painting, he included washing the roof which we did not expect, but were delighted with. We have 2 colors of trim and then a separate stain on the decks. All work was done in an organized and timely manner. Phil had 2 others helping him. They were all polite and professional. Though the job is complete, Philip agreed to return next week for another coat on the deck spindles. We highly recommend Dun Rite to you also! As promised, Phillip returned to add another coat of stain to deck spindles when we were out of town. THANK YOU! Wonderful! Mr. O'Hara did a great job. He has great attention to detail. He took great care to repair and caulk surfaces. The painting job turned out even better than I hoped. Mr. O'Hara did a super job calling me and keeping me up to date on how the work was progressing. I would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone.

We are so pleased with the work done by Phil and his Dun Rite painting team. We felt that his initial quote of 5500.00 for our project was very reasonable, given the size and complexity of our home (two stories on the front, three on the back). At the time of the quote, Phil walked us through all of the steps he would complete during the project. He explained that any siding repairs would cost extra. Once we signed and sent in the deposit, Phil and his team worked every possible non-rainy, non-snowy day to get the job done. In preparing the house for painting, Phil identified a lot of small things that needed to be fixed; I very much appreciated this, as they are things that I would not have caught that could have gotten worse and caused more damage if not fixed now. I feel that, although we ended up needing about 34 man-hours of repairs at an additional cost, it was all worth it because our paint job, siding and roof will look better and last longer. I am excited to see how much more efficient our home is in regards to heating/cooling thanks to all of the caulking they completed. The house looks beautiful, and I think that Phil's thorough job will ensure that we won't have to do this project again for many years. You can tell that Phil takes great pride in his work, and will do what it takes to ensure a quality result for your project. I gave them a "B" for professionalism only because we heard some "colorful" language during the scaffolding process - not a big deal for us, but might prompt a few questions if kids hear it. Aside from that, they were very professional, cleaned up the work areas nicely every day, and were always courteous. I would definitely recommend them for your painting project.

The project turned out very well and to date we have not had any problems.

We requested the date for starting the project about two months in advance. When the date arrived, Phil and crew were there at 9 AM. They put in a full days work every weekday (except rain-outs) until finished. This crew is very professional, knowledgeable, honest, and hard working. Their price was excellent for the challenge the job presented.

I had an excellent experience with them.They did an excellent painting. I was able to purchase a paint with a discount and he was happy to recommend the paint and the paint still gave me a substantial discount. They painted my house and it was never look better. The guys that came out were fast and very efficient and very pleasant. They did a little extra work that we didn't even asked for. We have a garden shed they painted just added that into as a paint. I would highly recommend them. It's a friendly business like way.

We had another painter bid significantly lower, so we went with them. They were very knowledgeable regarding the steps and prep work that needed to go into the job to get it done right.

On the first day they arrived early to assess the job, and to discuss my needs and expectations. Then they promptly got to work, taping baseboards and laying drop cloths where needed. They always asked before making any decisions to be sure I understood what they were going to do, and always expressed their desire for me to be happy with what they were doing. They finished earlier than expected, so on the second day we were able to add some additional painting of my bathroom cabinets - I had thought that I was going to be the one painting those (and was not looking forward to that job), but I was thrilled that they were able to help me out by tackling the bathroom cabinets. The first day, before leaving, they cleaned up their equipment and set it aside for the next day. They were extremely respectful of my space and also of my dog, who tried to kiss them whenever they were doing the baseboards! I am extremely happy with the way the painting looks. They did an excellent job, and I definitely would call them again and will recommend them to my friends with a high score.

I live in Spokane Washington and the house to be painted is in Suttons Bay in northern Michigan. We did the whole deal over the phone based upon mutual trust. The work done was perfect and the extra work (roofs and decks) was done at no extra charge. Painting Dun Right definately under promised and over delivered. Mr. Phillip O'Hare is a true professional and a man of his word!

I would have like to it to been done in a more timely matter.

He came out very fast. He really wanted the job. I chose not to go with him because he did not say exactly what he was going to do.
