My Mom was not trilled with them. The technician was not friendly and made a comment about my mother's age. Their quote seemed high and we are shopping other contractors.

Service tech arrived on time; determined status of boiler - inoperative due to failed cut-off switch. Technician did a complete check and cleaning of the boiler and ancillary systems; removed much soot and other contaminants - boiler had not been used for lengthy time. Technician not have part with him, but bypassed the switch to allow the boiler to operate temporarily - absolutely necessary, very cold at this time! Technician returned the following week, installed the new switch, tested the boiler; operation has been flawless since, and we expect that this will continue. We have used Dependable before, about four years ago. Their work lives up to the company's name, service is prompt, and their prices are very reasonable. I am completely satisfied.

I used dependable twice the first time being a good experience and the second time being the last time I used this company. First time I called was on a Friday about five pm and I explained that I had my parents living with me, both had health issues. I had a mobile home furnace and the thermocouple would burn out quite often. To replace the thermocouple the entire burner unit had to be removed which I did not feel comfortable with. The owner of the company came out after five and fixed the thermocouple within a couple hours of my telephone call. The second time I called, two years later, the technician, Scott came to the house and stated I had a cracked heat exchanger and that the furnace should be shut down immediately. I still had my Mom living with me and because of her health issues Scott did not shut the furnace down (January in Michigan) nor did he fix the thermocouple. We were left with no heat. I called another HVAC company which did resolve the problem and who stated there was no cracked heat exchanger. Over the next five years the furnace was routinely checked and no faulty heat exchanger was ever discovered including when the furnace was taken out and replaced in 2006. I would not use Dependable again and I would caution anyone considering using this company.

We called on 5-13-2013 and they came out on 5-14-2013. They were very professional and efficient at cleaning the ducts and took pains to make sure they didn't make a mess. They replace the rusted burners and the price they charged was very reasonable, I will be calling this company in the future for service I need done on my furnace and air conditioner.

Our heat went out over the weekend, we called on a Monday morning and Al, the service tech was here by 10am. He found the fuel jets in the furnace were dirty, he cleaned them and restored the heat. He then showed my husband how to clean the burners and a couple of other things that would keep the furnace working at a higher efficiency. We were very satisfied with Al's work, he was polite and answered any questions we asked. I would call Dependable Heating and Cooling again for any service we need on our furnace or air conditioner.

The entire process went very well. As stated above, the technician arrived on time, quickly identified the problems with the boiler, obtained the necessary parts and installed them, all in about two-and-a-half hours. He was also personally very pleasant, and the price charged for the work is fair.

It went well. Service rep looked at the water line and advised it didn't need to be replaced with a copper line. He provided me with tips and information.
