The gentleman who came to my house to set up the estimate was very polite, and courteous. He listened to what I wanted. Looked at the area, for where I wanted it. Listened to my ideas, and drew out out a rough graph. The 1st estimate was too high. And he negotiated with me. Giving me a price I could afford. Which I really appreciate. Later after some discussion about a pet ramp, not a human ramp; The deck was re-evaluated and changes were made. Which in the end, saved me another $750.00 To me, he was interested in making the sale. And gave me options. But listened to me, and made it out to where it worked out for the both of us. Thanks. The guys came and worked fast and within a day n a half, the job was finished. Looks great. (For the basic deck) I added the railings, and solar lights, and finishing touches, myself. I said they could leave the scraps, and didn't need a dumpster. But they took the extras, and scraps at the end anyway. So all I had was a nice clean new deck.

Green Shield Was great to work with. Iâ m not one that needs or wants the â educationalâ sales process but I felt great about the price they asked for the work. They worked with the rules of my condo association and weâ re respectful of my neighbors. The installers took the care to make the old deck frame look great when skinned with their composite. So much care to get it right. They came early, stayed late and cleaned up between shifts. In the end it looks great and Iâ m happy with the â no surprisesâ cost. Thanks!

We bought our home used and have tried for years to work up a plan to get the deck replaced. I honestly don't know how it ever passed an inspection, it was in such bad shape. After years of delaying we finally made the decision and after speaking with a few other building contractors, Green Shield gave us the best options, service and delivery dates to get our project completed. They did a complete tear down of the existing structure and had our new deck in and useable within 4 days. Our deck was rotten on our house and we reached out to a few different companies and was very impressed with Green Shield! They were able to replace our deck relatively quickly after reaching out and we love our finished deck! We are excited to be able to go out on our deck again!

They were very precise on everything they did . They were on time hard workers, finished the deck earlier than what they had scheduled. They answered questions and kept me informed about what they were going to do everyday. I was very pleased with the deck when it was finished.

The work crew (3) were very polite and worked from early in the morning until sunset. The only demerit in the project was the magnetic clean-up of the job site. This may have been the result of working 'til dark on the last day. I purchased my own magnet roller and picked up HUNDREDS of screws and nails in my yard and driveway.

The crew was friendly and hard working professionals. We are thrilled with the results and looking forward to enjoying our beautiful new deck! We would definitely recommend Green Shield Home for deck replacement!

We hired Green Shield to build our deck and rebuild our upper deck and they did a fantastic job!!!! Pros: Like the deck a lot. Makes the house look nicer. Got it done in a quick manner. Like the longer box step since the old step was short. Workers were good, friendly, polite, and admitted their mistakes (ground steps). They worked outside in cold weather. Cons: Changed ground step design from plans ended up causing non-optimal layout but acceptable, I guess. Raised edge piece (underboard trim installed too high) had to report twice; currently waiting for scheduled inspect/fix. Box step boards too tight to drain but acceptable, I guess. Disliked being pressured by a today-only deal on sales visit. Offering gift to give 5-star reviews. Overall: Happy with Deck.

It looks good and is safer now

Our crew was efficient and relentless in the Michigan March weather to complete the tear off, level and install of our new composite deck. It looks amazing! Our crew was professional and kept the job site clean at all times. We're looking forward to no longer having to stain/paint the old wooden deck and look forward to the lifetime guarantee of the composite deck to withstand the weather as advertised!

This deck replacement was not a straight forward job. The original deck was built over 40 years ago by my husband. It overlooks a deep ravine and the sides of the slope are very slippery this time of year. The crew went to work and in no time the original deck was removed and they started on the supports for the new deck. We now have a beautiful and very sturdy deck which will probably outlast the two of us. We love this deck! Great people who know what they are doing!! Highly recommend Green Shield!!

They were efficient and fast. It took 4 days to replace with top of the line products. It looks great. We will see with time if the products withstand the weather as we have been told. It will be at that time that we will be able to assess value for money.

I have never worked with a contractor as communicative and helpful as the staff at Green Shield. They were amazing!
