I wouldn't recommend them to anyone. I had someone else give me quote for only $6000 for the same job.

Their sales people came by our house recently while going to different houses in our neighborhood. The 2 young people were nice enough trying to introduce themselves and explaining their services. One of them immediately pointed what he thought were issues with my roof. I told him that their visit was timely bc I had been shopping for roofing contractors. I made an appointment for their estimator to come out the next day to give me an estimate. He asked me to sign something but I refused. I told him it was not necessary and that I will be home on the appointed time. With which they went on their merry way.Not 10 minutes later, their "estimator" calls and confirms the appointment. He then went on telling me that my wife needs to be present when he shows up. I told him that my wife did not need to be present. He insisted that she needs to be and that its their company policy. After going back and forth with this issue, I told him that he needs to realize I have already agreed for them to come out and give me an estimate and that he is jeopardizing his chance by his insistence. His reply was belligerent and arrogant that I just finally told him to cancel the appointment.I never understood the reasoning behind his insistence. I just found the whole thing very weird.I don't think I'm going to entertain Erie Construction in the future.

This company had people canvassing the neighborhood that I lived in. The sales representative was giving his spiel about the company and their product. When I said that I would like to have them come out to do an estimate for my windows, the sales rep asked for my name and then when told I did not have a husband that he should worry about he then decided to insult me and told me I wasn't "fortunate" enough to have one. After this I was getting upset and he continued to try to get my services and I told him there was another home owner to which he replied then he did not want to work with me and only wanted to work with them and to have the other home owner contact him/the company when they were ready. After this I told him that he did not need to work with the other homeowner as I was the one setting up appointment and had full rights over the house as well. He tried to continuously argue with me about company policy and how they could only work with the one who made the money (I'm in school) and my opinion did not count. I told him I understand that when it came to paying for services that the other owner needed to be involved, but just to come look at the windows and give me an estimate of price range he should be able to. He then told me that they didn't do "general estimates" because what would be the point? He wanted to have something agreed to when they came out because otherwise it would be a waste of time. I finally just told him we no longer wanted his services and to leave my property to which he decided he was going to say "o well it's your fault that you are missing out on a really good product". So BEWARE of this company, I agree with many of the other reviews. I would NEVER! recommend this company to ANYBODY for any work ever!

We had new siding put on our home! It turned out okay... but the doorbell was taken off and not put back... the door that "came" with the job had a noise inside the handle (the guy came out to check the job and we showed it to him... his response was to agree "Yep, that's not supposed to do that") and the outdooe light was left "hanging" since the screws weren't put in to anything! We won't use them again... EVER!!! They continuously call and ask if we need to have our siding done... DUH!

This company won't stop calling my house! About 18 months ago, one of their sales reps came to our door, and my wife said, sure give us a quote. We never heard from them again until about six months later, when they started calling once a month trying to set up a roofing quote. At that point, we had already gotten a new roof (from somebody else - be sure to check Erie's complaints on BBB and ripoffreport), so we asked the caller to please remove us form their calling list. This was in early 2011.I'm writing this now on the first day of December 2011, and they've been calling every month, and I have asked them nicely every month to remove us from their list. In fact, when they called last month, I told the caller that I had requested removal from the list for 5 straight months, and told him that I was going to report them to the FTC if they called again. He quickly apologized and guaranteed we would not be called again. Guess who called last night? Yep, Erie Construction Midwest Grand Rapids again. Bad form, Erie - it's illegal, shows you don't have good systems, and you obviously don't care about your customers.

They did a wonderful job. The only problem I have with them is that once you do something with them they call constantly. I know they are just trying to get more business, but if I wanted something I would call. As far as the work goes they are very good, and the price was reasonable.

They came out to give us an estimate. They pressured us into purchasing the windows that night and never wrote up a an estimate. They just wrote a # down on a piece of paper and said that is how much it would cost. We simply wanted an estimate for all of our windows to be replaced and they would only give us a price for half of them. They were at our house for 3 hours! Would not recommend.

We had representatives of Erie come to our house 2 separate times. The first time my husband spoke with the rep and set up a time for someone to look at our windows and give us an estimate. This person never showed up. A few months later another rep from Erie came, and, deciding to give them a second chance, we again set up a time to get an estimate. This time a rep did show up, but he wasn't very professional. He commented on my husband's mood (which was annoyed, having to deal with this man who made comments about things that really weren't his business.) Then, after looking at our windows, he wasn't able to give us an estimate, though the company had said he would. The rep said someone would call us with the estimate. So we waited...and waited...and no one ever got back to us. We let it go. Our windows were sufficient to our needs, and we didn't need Erie Construction for anything. Then, a few months later a customer service representative called us inquiring as to why we chose not to go with new windows from Erie. I explained the lack of professionalism and the unreliability of their employees. OF course she apologized and offered to send a new rep out to take a look at our windows. I said no thank you, we weren't interested in working with Erie. Af ew weeks later we got another call from Erie. This time we saw on our caller ID that it was Erie Construction. So my husband put on a deep, scary voice, like you might hear in a horror film, picked up the phone and said, "Never call here again!" And so far they haven't!

They are very fast and very good.

Originally, I had a quote done about six months prior. The salesman was so unprofessional, I couldn't get him to leave, he was there 3+ hours. The quote was way too high. About 6 months later, a different guy (Steve)called, with a much more reasonable quote. I told him about the first guy and he said that they had had complaints about him before. I went ahead and signed a contract. They tried to get me to use their financing, but I went and secured my own through my own bank. Erie subcontracted the installation out. The installer, Gene, was an okay guy. They got the job done on time. A couple of things did come up, though. There was an electrical hookup that was attached to my garage that didn't get replaced. One of my fence posts was too close to the garage, they took that out of the ground and it never got replaced. They removed light fixtures on my garage that never got replaced. Gene said the wiring was questionable (it was). I asked Gene about this other stuff, but he said he was just hired to install, that Steve should have been the one to inform me of these possible problem areas. Overall, I am happy with the product. About a week after the install was done, I get a call from someone else at Erie, can't remember his name. They want to send someone out to check out the installers' work and to see if I had any follow up questions. I said sure, I did want to get some of these issues resolved. A guy shows up at the appointed time, walks around my house for about 15 minutes checking out the house before he bothers to knock on my door. When he does, we go outside and he comments on the fact that I didn't have the soffits and facia installed. I explained that was more money than what I had, and while I did plan on having it done in the future, I couldn't afford it right now. He went into a sales pitch right there. He was very pushy. We talked outside for 10 minutes and then he said that he could get me a "good deal" if I got the soffit and facia done. He started walking into my house without being invited in, I had to run to catch up to him! He crunched some numbers, my "good deal" would cost me another $3,000 that I didn't have. I told him this and he said he knew I paid cash for the siding. I told him that that wasn't true, I just secured financing through a home equity line of credit through my bank. He said that I should just get more money from the bank then. I told him I wasn't comfortable taking on that kind of debt load. He offered to get me finacing through Erie. I told him I didn't want that either. The conversation was starting to get a little heated. He didn't want to take no for an answer and I was going to be bullied into buying something I didn't think I could afford. Here's the dealbreaker - he then says to me "Maybe I should come back when you are in a better mood." That's when I lost it. I told him this was the only mood I had and he just ruined what was left of it and he'd better get the hell out of my house. I am still upset.

Had a problem with the porch under a year after installed. It took a year to get this problem fixed. Got the run around for most of the year, and then they damaged other parts while fixing the first problem. Would not go back to them for anything in the future.

YEAH I WAS REALLY PLEASED WITH HOW QUICK THEY DID THEIR WORK. IT TOOK A TOTAL OF FIVE HOURS TO GET IT DONE. THEY WERE VERY EFFICIENT, AND THEY EVEN CLEANED UP THE MESS AFTER THEY WERE DONE. I REALLY APPRECIATED THAT.

THEY DID AN OKAY JOB. I LIKED THE FACT THAT THEY DIDN'T LEAVE A MESS AND KEPT EVERYTHING TIDY. THEIR WORKMANSHIP WAS OF EXCELLENT QUALITY. THE WINDOWS LOOK REALLY GREAT IN MY HOUSE AND THEY MAKE MY HOUSE LOOK NEWER.

I WOULD NEVER GO BACK TO THIS COMPANY AGAIN. WHEN I TELL OTHER PEOPLE ABOUT THEM I TELL THEM NOT TO USE THEM EITHER. THIS IS A COMPANY THAT DOES NOT FOLLOW THROUGH WITH WHAT THEY PROMISE AND I WAS NOT SATISFIED.

THERE WAS A SMALL LEAK THAT WAS DISCOVERED DURING A STORM AFTER THEIR FIRST VISIT, BUT THEY WERE QUICK TO RETURN AND FIX IT. THEY DID NOT CHARGE US ANYTHING FOR THOSE REPAIRS.

THEY SHOWED UP EARLY AND DID NOT LEAVE UNTIL IT GOT DARK OUTSIDE. THEY WERE VERY PROFESSIONAL. THEY WERE VERY COMMITTED TO GETTING THE JOB DONE RIGHT. THEY WERE VERY RESPONSIVE TO ALL MY QUESTIONS. THIS COMPANY DOES GREAT WORK.

I DID NOT FIND TO MANY QUALITIES ABOUT THIS PARTICULAR COMPANY THAT I LIKED. THEY WERE VERY YOUNG AND DID NOT HAVE TO MUCH EXPERIENCE. THE JOB THAT THEY DID FELL APART AND THAT WAS HORRIBLE.

THEY WERE VERY PERSISTENT AND INFORMATIVE WHILE DOING THE JOB. THEY TOOK THEIR TIME TO MAKE SURE EVERYTHING WAS LEVELED AND THE WINDOWS WERE SEALED TIGHT. THEY WERE CAREFUL NOT TO MESS UP ANY OF MY FURNITURE AND PATIENT LISTENING TO MY QUESTIONS.

THEY WERE ABLE TO DO THE EXACT WORK I WANTED, AND IN THE TIME FRAME THAT I REQUESTED. THEY DID A BEAUTIFUL JOB AND THE KITCHEN LOOKS STUNNING. THEY ARE VERY HARD WORKERS.
