WORLD OF CD-ROM

Work was done very well, but I was not pleased with how long it took. in defense of the shop, they explained that their most experienced technician was on vacation when I brought my laptop in for repair.

They did a good job, but it took a week.

Held my computer for over a week. When they gave it back to me, they changed a setting that I had already changed myself which did not fix the problem. Still charged me for the service even though they did not fix the problem.

Terrible service. No professionalism. No communication. The screen of my laptop stopped working. I took it to World of CD-Rom for repair and was assured it would be no problem to fix, and should take a week. After numerous visits and calls, I was told the screen could not be repaired after all. The computer itself was still functioning, so I asked if the screen could be removed so I could easily hook it up to a monitor. Again, I was told it wouldn't be a problem. Six weeks later, I finally picked up my computer. The screen was still attached. The technician was asked to remove it, as agreed, but in the process broke a part. Two weeks later, the computer was finally ready. (Now we're up to two months and the original problem was never fixed, but I was charged.) When I picked it up, the screen was off, but the computer was completely filthy and the keyboard didn't work! During the entire two month period, the company never called me to discuss the repair or give me a progress report. They were so unprofessional they didn't even bother to wipe the greasy fingerprints off! In the end, my computer was worse than when I took it to World of CD-Rom---and I was charged $170.00 for them to destroy it!!!
