I called VanDam and Krusinga in early October based on some favorable reviews here. My initial call was quite pleasant - the receptionist was very friendly and took my information (I had two jobs needing attention - repair of a frame for a large skylight on my roof, and some drywall repair from a ceiling damaged by a roof leak). She told me an estimator would call me to make an appointment to come out and look at my home. Later that day the estimator did call. We talked about a time for him to come over and based on upcoming travel I had we talked about the coming Monday. He asked me to call him Monday to setup a time that week, and I said why don't we just setup a time for Monday now. He said and quot;OK - I will call you Monday AM to see when would work bestand quot;. I travel a lot, so I blocked Monday off on my calendar so I could be here all day. Monday came - no call. No call Tuesday. Tuesday afternoon I called back to VanDam and Krusinga and got again a very friendly receptionist. I explained my situation - she offered to forward my call to the same estimator (but offered no apology for the inconvenience). She forwarded the call and I got the estimator's voicemail. I left a detailed message and asked him to call me back, leaving my cell number as it is the best way to get me at any time. One week later, I have had no return call. So much for VanDam and Krusinga. I see other reports on here with similar results - I guess this is a continuing problem they have not corrected.

I would recommend Van Dam for any remodel or repair work on your home.

The work that was completed was performed very well, and I am completely satisfied with it. However, it was extremely difficult to make arrangements for the work to be done. Attempted contacts were left unanswered. Estimates were delayed despite repeated requests. Though the company representative promised to complete the siding repair before winter, it was never done despite.

They showed up on time, explained exactly what they were going to do. Then did the job.

Really well - kept their promises, called us back when we called. Overall very satisfied.

They ended up having to replace all the siding on the house. There were more than 20 pieces that needed to be replaced on the siding. They were a little slow, but they did a good job. Their interactions were always very professional and positive. They kept us up-to-date on what was going on. I appreciated that a lot. The work was done within a couple of weeks, and they did an excellent job. My interaction with them was a positive one. The price wasn’t a concern as insurance covered the cost. We only had to pay the deductible.

They are reasonably priced. They do everything they say they are going to do. If something is not right, they will come back and fix it.

It took me 3 or 4 phones to set up the visit due to them not calling back despite a pleasant sounding receptionist who assured me they would be in touch. A guy did come out to look (and I'd hoped give me an estimate) but he only looked at the outside even though my concern was water coming in the basement. He said he'd call a roofing colleague and get back to me, he never did! I even sent a follow up email asking if he had an answer for me, no answer.

They were prompt, they were extremely professional, and they were there when they said they would be. They followed up to make sure everything was up to our satisfaction once they were done; it’s a very classy establishment. Their work is well work the price because you know it is going to last and because they were willing to come back out to answer my questions.

The estimator never called or followed up with any quote. Not even a phone call to say that VDK werent going to bid on the job.

They did all the work themselves and subcontracted some of it out. They are a reputable company and did a good job. If their work doesn’t turn out the way we want it they would redo it. We had to do some addition to our old building and we wanted to blend the architectural design. It took some doing. They were well coordinated and had always come out when they said they would. The work took some time to finish not because they were inefficient, but because of shortage of stock and so forth. I did get my money’s worth, though.

The project was started early summer ended late fall. Took longer than anticipated due to materials needing to be created to blend the structures together. This was a "make it up as you go " project since so many things needed to be blended together to get the "old" look. The hardest part of remodeling is living in the same space that is being worked on. The carpenter in charge (Chuck) was very understanding of keeping things picked up during the whole process. Overall the project went smoothly. Would use this company again, especially for restoration work.

Every interaction with Vandam and Krusinga was pleasant and professional, from the initial contact with the receptionist to the final cleanup with the workers. The work was well planned and communicated ahead of time, the workers were prompt, and the work was completed very efficiently. The workers were very courteous and professional, and made every effort to keep the work area clean and minimize the impact on the rest of our home.
