I called Rooter Express to my house to repair a broken water main under my driveway. They offered a price of $1,795 to do the repair, including use of a leak detector, excavation of the concrete, repair the pipe, and pour back the concrete. This was on a Friday and I authorized the work. The plumber said he was called to another job but would be back. To make a long story short, we were out of water all weekend because he did not return. When he did come on Monday, he took up the concrete and found a deep hole under the driveway that was caused by the water leak. At that time, he stated that he was not comfortable trying to fill it in. I agreed. I have called a concrete contractor to do the repair. When I asked Rooter Express for a partial refund since the pour back part of the contract was not done (by mutual agreement), they refused to do so. They stated that it was a single price for the work even if all of the work could not be completed. I found the technician to be very pleasant, but my overall experience with the company was not a good one. Watch out for their leak detection offer. My insurance company told me that their pricing is way out of line.

I made every attempt to fix the problem myself and had to call in for help. The clog was to far for me to do anything about, 80+ feet in the line. The service guy was here on time and took a look at the situation while describing what he was finding. He gave me options on my fix and took care of it right then, I was impressed with his professionalism.
Description of Work: The water was not draining from my house and I had an unknown clog.

It took them several days to actually appear. They asked if they could come out Friday rather than Thursday and then set my appointment to Sunday without telling me. Other than that, the gentleman who came to my house to fix my problem was very skilled, very informative and very patient. It turned out that my century-old pipes needed to all be replaced which became a whole different story. He was, however, amazingly kind enough to convince one of his part suppliers to open his store on Sunday so that he could do the absolutely necessary repairs.
Description of Work: They attempted to repair several clogs then discovered that my whole century-old plumbing system needed to be replaced.
