I am surprised this company has an A rating from Angie’s List, as I tried to contact them multiple times (at least 3), leaving a message each time and never heard back from them. On paper their expertise appeared to be exactly what we need, but they would not even return a call to tell me they could not help me (for whatever reason). The last message I left was to tell them I would be forced to leave a negative review, which is something I never do, preferring to work with the contractor to correct any problems. And still they did not return my call. I like to give the benefit of the doubt but since I rely on reviews, I thought I needed to share my experience for others.

Work done was fantastic. I am very happy with the result and the professionalism throughout. Even better he was great with my kids and let them participate in the fun (work) when possible.

John is a skilled tradesman, arrived a tad late, but was casual and confident. Looked at the task, said the estimate would be by the hourly rate ($80 an hour if I recall correctly), and made two trips to finish the task, a few hours each time (two different areas so that worked out for us). Asked us to check his work before he left, methodical and exact workmanship. I really like this guy! The exterior wall is over 40years old exposed to the elements, and he patched any breakage in the mortar, fixed any separations and finished the area where a new window went in. After everything dried, does not look obvious that any "patch" or "repair work had been done- blends right in! Knew the stone product (no longer available) and how to make it look new. We were really satisfied!

John showed up when he said he would. Neatly fixed the crack and cleaned up all work related items completely. Job was completed quickly and price met the reasonable estimate. I would definitely use the services of this firm again!

I had three people out in our house before and they told me they couldn't do the job but this gentleman from Ritsema Masonry and Construction did it. He was responsive and prompt. He was great and we've had no problems.

We planned to have our driveway torn out and replaced, following an extensive plumbing repair job. Before either job was begun, my husband called several contractors to get estimates for how much the concrete tearout/removal/replacement job would cost. In the end, another contractor got the job.

My call was answered promptly, and Mr Ritsema arrived to inspect and estimate the work that week. The job was scheduled and completed right on time. The "work site" was neat - and left spotless when work was finished.
