Nate Salisbury

To start I had to call him back multiple times for shoddy workmanship dents in wraps around windows and doors. Shoddy installation of caulk. To top it off if misrepresented the windows he installed stating in writing that the company making the windows/door was owned by Anderson Windows. Which in fact turned out to be a lie. The windows/door he put in are the lowest grade replacement. I however did not pay for low quality window or installation. I have slider that the glass panes leaked so it is foggy. Windows not installed properly so they don't open, close or lock properly. To top it off I have leaks and the vinyl exterior of these windows and door are falling apart. There are cracks in the vinyl corners of the window sashes. I have tons of pictures. Another contractor stated that it appears instead of using quality outside window door caulk he used a glue or liquid nails. As the "caulk" is cracking and brittle. Some areas were never caulked. Slider door and egress are leaking. I hired him to also rebuild two window frames and sills that needed to be replaced. After slider started leaking he told me he knew that I would have leaking because of my siding. He stated it was because weap holes were blocked but other contractors stated that's not true because we have j channels around the the windows and doors. Also installed "aluminum wraps were not installed properly. On tops of windows and doors the wrap doesn't cover the entire exterior leaving bare wood exposed. Allowing water, bugs etc underneath causing leaking and overtime rotting the wood frames. I have had several issues requesting Nate Salisbury to come honor the warranty on his work and products. He brought a release for compensation for damaged door that stated I released all of my rights to the project. I didn't sign release but he will not honor his 5 year warranty and I can't get the products fixed because according to ABC Supply I was not the original purchaser. I contacted Alliance who is a middleman for low grade vinyl window companies. That is where the windows were purchased from my contractor bought them from ABC Supply, ABC bought them from Alliance who purchased them from the manufacturer Midway Windows in Chicago, IL. I can't get any warranty work because I was told by ABC Supply I don't have an account and wasn't the original purchaser. Nate was rude when I called him about multiple issues including caulking, dents, unlevel windows, locks popping off, leaks in between window panes and leaks from water causing damage to the interior of our home. I paid a lot of money and the only thing that Nate kept saying was he wasn't going to keep coming to my home for free. But I have a contract that states a year warranty and information from windows stating a lifetime guarantee. I would never recommend a contractor who purchases products from ABC. I don't recommend Alliance windows (they just purchase cheap windows from substandard manufacturers). I would not recommend manufacturer Midway Windows. As I am stuck and with out contractor making a claim for these windows I am screwed with substandard installation and faulty products. Here are just a few of the pictures.

When I got the bid he told me he could start the job within 2-3 wks. He didn't start until almost six weeks later. Finish work was not completed in a timely fashion or manner. Large front window one piece with 3 large windows was not installed square/level. Have had several warranty issues with windows and sliding glass door quality. They installed 3 different slider panels that were all damaged. To top it off we also had a leak where slider was installed. Window lock popped off one sash and it took 6 months to get a replacement. We had several windows installed with scratches on glass. Screens were unattached on edges. Dents in aluminum wrapping and issues with caulking. We have attempted to resolve Construction issues with Nate but he takes no accountability for the substandard and incomplete construction work. Have had to directly contact ABC supply to try to resolve warranty issues with products Nate purchased and installed. He didn't show up when he stated he would and didn't schedule appointments to do finish work and blamed me for not being home when he showed up out of the blue. Instead of bringing in a step ladder Nate and member of his crew used my dinning room chair to stand on to mud and sand drywall in my dinning room. Mud and dust was everywhere and all over my furniture which they then left my dinning room chair outside of my dinning room on the uncovered deck outside. Drywall was ripped in master bedroom on corners where window was replaced. Almost 5 inch rips and cracks in drywall. He denied his crew did this damage. He has been very disrespectful in speaking to me about these issues. He offered money for damaged door only (not enough to cover thousands of dollars I paid for products and installation especially when there is leaking and seal issues with products) if I signed a waiver releasing him from all the project work (5 yr warranty on his work 12 windows and a sliding glass door). I refused to sign a waiver releasing him from the warranty on our contract. Not my fault he installed substandard products and did inadequate work but claims he builds million dollar homes. Do your homework on finding a good Construction company and make sure you go over everything with a fine tooth comb. Unfortunately, for us a majority of Construction issues happened after he was paid. He takes no responsibility. Very disrespectful to me as a woman.
