 + -1 moreI was sure I had discovered a new termite infestation in my house. When Mite-E arrived (on time, free of charge), they assured me what I was seeing was OLD infestation, with no evidence of new infestation. Of course they'll have my business in the future, should anything arise.

 + 1 moreI should have called them first. They were everything this other business was not. Professional, prompt and dependable. The cost was much more reasonable and the service was outstanding. Within 2 weeks a huge number of mice were gone, and he kept coming back when he said he would to check and rebait. I'm in a maintenance program now where every few weeks he returns. He even helped block a couple of areas he thought they were entering and suggested a few other places. The chewing, digging and scurrying noises in the walls and attic is gone, no more rodent parties in the basement. Every so many weeks I call and ask him to check bait and traps and it is for a very reasonable cost. I'm very happy with their service. They will even find and block entry points for an additional cost, but I'll wait until later in the year to do that. I paid $200 for the initial visit and that included checking and rebaiting the traps the first couple of weeks. When the # died down it was $40 per maintenance visit. I highly recommend this company and I intend on contacting them again for other future pest control needs.
Description of Work: I had originally called another Animal Control company to assess a rodent invasion I had in the attic and basement. I thought it was chipmunk or squirrel. They sent me a certified tech, who informed me it was actually mice. I paid the initial assessment of $250, I asked him to proceed with their service to remove the mice and find and block the entry points. It was going to be extremely expensive, like $1200 - $1500, but was guaranteed for 1 year. If any mice got in after they were done, they'd come back at no charge. I figured it was worth it to be rid of things and I liked the idea of a guarantee. Well..the tech didn't show up the next Monday as scheduled. He called and said he had to have his truck repaired and he rescheduled to that Wednesday. Wednesday rolls around, still no technician, but he calls at 3 pm and says his truck is still being worked on at a different shop. So now it will the next following Monday. I'd rearranged my work schedule to be home those 2 days, so I made sure my son was home that 3rd reschedule. No show on Monday either, no phone call, I finally called and he said he was backed up and would be here that Wed. He did show up on Wed. We had requested he give us an itemized list of what work was done & where when the work was completed. But I don't know what was done or how long he was here that day. At some point, he told my son he forgot his invoice, but he'd bring it the next week when he returned to continue. He left, leaving things out laying around like he was going to return. The Next Monday after that, guess what? No show again. I didn't even bother calling him. Never heard from the guy since. Fortunately, I didn't pay anything in advance. BUT I did call MITE-E Exterminating next. I needed the problem solved

 + -1 moreVery impressed! There was a REAL person answering the phone. Request for quick service was relayed to the exterminator and he was at our house the same day. Yellow jacket nest was sprayed that day with a follow-up 3 days later. Bees were entirely exterminated. Very happy with their service and work. Would definitely recommend them to friends and neighbors.

 + 1 moreVery excellent service and very friendly and professional. I was worried that we might have termites under our deck because I saw what I thought were dirt tunnels that termites like to build. I called Mite-E Exterminating and they offered free termite inspections for home owners as long as you're not in the process of selling your home. The owner and another employee came out shortly afterward and inspected the area I thought had termite activity (thankfully it was not termites) and they inspected the inside of our house as well just in case. No signs of termites anywhere. They gave us an estimate to do monthly spraying for bugs as well as setting up about 10 termite bait stations around our house and to have the stations checked monthly for termite activity. It was a very reasonable price for a little peace of mind that if termites do find their way to our yard they will hopefully feed on the stations first and can be killed before they cause any serious damage. Also the termite service includes killing any termite infestation that might occur in your home as well, so that's nice as well. Also the bug spraying is nice too. The service also includes setting up live catch mouse traps around the house if you happen to have mice, which our yard frequently does. The employees who come out on a monthly basis are always very friendly and thorough, they have knocked down and sprayed a couple of wasp nests they have found. I highly recommend this company.

 + -1 moreMy wife had an ant on her pant leg and another showed up in our car. I was worried that our new house was infested so I called this company because they were rated highly on Angieslist. Very happy with this company - Mr. dean came out to the house and thoroughly inspected and found... nothing! No charge for looking, no "well, just to be safe.." It's hard to find honest businesses these days, but I trust these guys and I will use them if I ever have any trouble in the future

I even had a schedule change and was not able to be there when he first got there but did the treatment and let me know how it went.

Two different scenarios first one owner called me spoke w me Honest down earth professional guy puts customers first not pushing monthly money plans at all I kept him late ten minutes for appt. he also made point call my sister I just had major surgery stress she kinder took over. Update 11/24/14-- I am updating my grade for this company, as there was a misunderstanding about the miscommunication. There was confusion regarding the phone numbers he was calling, this was our mistake. We still believe that Mite-E Exterminating is the best company for the job. If we need an exterminator again they will be our first call.
Description of Work: We needed ID on bug Very impressive his tech with biomedical degree was rigjt on right on. Josh owner said very busy be a bit. My family member did not mind waiting at all preferred local paw paw man vs top commercial pest. No problem waiting knew Josh cared for family first. His tech Corey impressive right on with bug ID bingo just like that. Josh told us his secretary would call us last week for an appt pending. We had no pressing issues that residence did not mind waiting. Family member wanted go with Josh vs Orkin. Guarantee you my family member would have been very impressed with entire company. No this was not mite problem at all Corey knows the ID. So no call last week at all guess did not want that business at that residence disappointed. I chose him purely his reviews and comments. No return call they are swamped busy but did not return set up an appt. disappointed I wanted best for my family. In pest control. Corey had it down. Still recommend go with this pest co above rest. Wish I could have.

He honestly explained that finding entry points for mice was really hit or miss when you don't have an active infestation. Josh committed to come back in 3 weeks to validate the effectiveness of his treatment plan. Based on that review he may adjust the treatment plan.
Description of Work: Josh toured my home to see where I have had mouse issues. He baited several areas and recommended traps for the outside to prevent the entry into my house before I have a problem. Josh explained the habit of the mice which reinforced my understanding of how to use traps. Josh offered cost savings options. Josh seemed to care more about getting rid of my mouse issue than making money. I was very comfortable with his plan.

 + -1 moreI called several different extermination companies the day we found the bees nest, and couldn't get an actual human on the phone until I called Mite-E Exterminating. We were doing a residential construction project in Kalamazoo, and when we took off some rotted wood, we found a really big nest. We pretty much ran for our lives, because there was literally a billion bees* (not literally, but you know what I mean). Mite-E sent someone with huge...amounts of courage to attack the problem. He dusted and the bees immediately started kicking the proverbial bucket, and had the whole thing cleaned out in a few hours. The price was very fair, as the nest happened to be 2.5 stories in the air, and access was difficult. Mite-E has carved a permanent spot in my and quot;Highly Recommendedand quot; file.

The guy who talked to me both on the phone and while he was here said, "If you follow what I'm doing I won't have to come back and if I do I'll only charge you half." So I thought that was good because instead of trying to charge us a lot of money they were more interested in what was best for us. The price they charged was fair.

 + -1 moreI tried all day long to find someone to come out today or tomorrow . The earliest I could get someone was in 4 days. I am very allergic to bees and afraid that they might get into my house. I had given up and made an appointment with another company, then Ryan called me and said he could be here in an hour! I felt so relieved. He showed up in less than an hour. He said that if they are not gone completely by next week he would come back and dust them again. Their work covers the problem for 3 months or they will retreat free. He said if it is longer than 3 months and I need another treatment it would be a nominal $40 trip fee. This is very reasonable. He warned me to keep myself and my dogs inside for 2 hours because the bees were pretty angry. Mite-E is my new exterminating company. They are a small company that is honest and cares. It is clear why they are tops on Angie's List!
Description of Work: Dusted and spray entire house for bees. Bees were getting in one spot in a groove on my metal roof near the soffit. Ryan also found a wasp nest by my back door and one on my boat as well.

 + -1 moreRyan was professional and knowledgable. He explained things in detail and took time to sit down and answer my many question and provide full explanations. He made sure we were aware of what was involved in the trench-digging process, such as noise and mess. Not that it was messy, but he just wanted us to know exactly where they would dig and that the yard would not be a mess afterwards. And it wasn't! We discussed safety of pets and children when these pesticides are used. When the small crew arrived to do the work, they were friendly and professional and very polite. They did the work quickly and neatly. They even helped me move some pieces of furniture that I'd given up on moving so they could get to the baseboards.
Description of Work: Termite treatment around foundation, and general treatment indoors and outdoors. They dug a trench around the foundation of the house to treat basement for termites. I had called them because of spiders, but they did a full inspection and found termites.

The guy Ryan that came out seemed to be very professional and he seemed to know what he was talking about. He noticed where all the termites whereas the guy from the other company did not. He seemed to really look and we are anxious to try something new. They came out pretty fast and gave us a quote on the spot.
