Excellent. Dan DeHaan arrived right on schedule, checked out the AC and checked for freon leaks as it was very low - he had to add freon, and then ran the AC to make sure it was functioning properly. Gave reminders about changing the furnace filter. Dan never appears to be in a hurry, he's willing to take all the time needed to properly service the equipment, answer my questions, and explain the charges incurred. I'll always call Jack DeHaan Htg and Cooling for my HVAC needs.

Very punctional and polite, but the tune up did not include the cost of freon or a new filter, which both seem like standard parts of a tune-up. He did not replace the filter, but charged 15 dollars for freon. Additionally, there was a labor charge for one fourth of an hour of 15 dollars to fill the freon. And this was in addition to the 59 dollars I already paid for a tune up through Angie's List. So, what was suppose to be tune up for 59 ended up being 89 once you add in the freon and added labor costs. Not absorbent, but more than I planned on. Lastly, he did not talk to me about anything that required additional fees before rendering the service, which I think is a poor business practice. In sum, very polite, knowledgeable, and punctional, but I will not call him again since I prefer the costs involved to be more transparent. At least give a heads up before you do anything that is an additional cost.

When I noticed that my tank was starting to leak I called them at 4pm on the day after Christmas (Friday) and by Monday afternoon I had a brand new oil tank and the old tank was disposed of. I was happy with all my interactions with the folks at Dehaan and I would recommend them thoroughly.

We have used this company for years. They are very honest and trustworthy. One year our furnace went out on Christmas and they were able to come out that day and fix it.

It was very easy to schedule an appointment, Jack was on time and friendly. After I showed him around and let him know my concerns he went to work cleaning the outdoor AC unit and testing it to make sure it was full. After about 45 minutes of work he said my unit was working fine and that it was a little old (20 years to be precise), but in good working order. He recommended a new unit and gave a very rough estimate of $3500.00, to purchase and install a new unit. For the most part it was a good experience, until I had someone come for a second estimate. The second service spent about an hour just tracking my ducts and figuring out where they all went, they determined that I would need more like $5,000.00-$7,000.00 worth of work. Why the discrepancy? It seems Jack DeHaan did not measure inside space and did not inspect the duct work enough to realize that there was a serious lack of returns in the house and that one end of the house (the end that we initially complained about) needed a lot more duct work and possibly a separate damper to control the air to the far end of the house where the master bedroom and kitchen are located. Althought DeHaan provided good service it was not the best service around for the money, and he did not take the time to measure to ensure that he was giving a good estimate.

I was in the hospital having just given birth, and my husband called to tell me the furnace had made a loud clunk noise and stopped working. Jack has serviced our furnace for years, and also works on my mom's home, so I told him to Google Jack DeHaan and he would fix it. It was a snowy Saturday, but Jack's son came out immediately in the morning to look at it. I'm not sure exactly what was wrong, but he fixed it quickly and also allowed us to pay him later when I got out of the hospital. I really appreciated the responsiveness and willingness to work with us given the circumstances. This is a great family business!
