Description of Work: Initially contacted provider to see if he did carpet repair - he did. Carpet couldn't be repaired and needed to be replaced. In replacing carpet I can still see the lines where the carpet end meets another at the end of the room and the chunks of carpet were off the same one roll so it's not a color mis-match but definitely a seem issue. Wasn't nuts with how he spoke toward his assistant either and I felt like he was alway trying to get more money out of me by asking for money toward moving an item that I could have gotten done myself and wasn't in the quote even though I had told him ahead of time that that item could be an issue moving.

Description of Work: A deck was installed behind the garage of our home and another small deck installed at entryway of home. Tim was out every day to check on the progress and inspect the work done. Both decks were completed in the time projected and any additional cost came because of additions we requested. We look forward to working with Home Improvements on future interior projects.

Description of Work: Tim installed railing/ballusters in a section of stairs leading down to my (poorly) finished basement. That section (about 6 feet) had cut-outs in the wall to see into the basement and only had a handrail. He clearly explained to me at the options for how to mount the railing because the walls / cut-outs were not even in multiple ways. He then properly installed the railing/balusters using materials I had picked up myself. Because of the height of the cut-out area most of the balusters had to be cut in length and Tim managed to do that in a way that looked good. They are well-installed and look nice. Tim also installed about 200 square feet of carpet padding (that I had ripped out after my water heater leaked) and then reinstalled the carpet (that I had pulled up and dried off but not removed)-- and it looks as good as before. I was happy with everything about how Tim performed the work. The cost of service is the retail cost (I used an Angie's List coupon to save $300 so I paid $780).

Description of Work: Tim and his partner completed several small tasks around the home: Trouble shoot a non-working light fixture, change out electrical outlets and fictures, replace baseboards.

Description of Work: Tim erected basic 2x4 walls in the basement to separate out a small area as a hobby room. Included was the installation of several electrical outlets and light switches. Additionally he repaired a poorly fitted door and replaced my kitchen sink. The work had to be spread out over several days and Tim was generally very accomodating as far as trying to match my work schedule.

Description of Work: Tim was scheduled to come over and give an estimate. He was a no call no show that day, and we never heard from him after that.

Description of Work: At my home: Installed outdoor spigot, removed whole house fan in upstairs ceiling/repaired ceiling where it was, replaced light fixture, replaced doorbell, cleaned/sealed/insulated areas of basement, repaired basement window, installed vinyl wrapping on 17 windows, repaired and painted garage ceiling, and other assorted tasks. At my mother's home: modest bathroom remodeling involving installing new vinyl flooring, removing wallpaper, painting, replacing mirror, light fixture, towel bars; general contractor for replacing kitchen countertops, sink, faucet, repair kitchen light fixture.
