About us

We are a husband and wife team based in Kalamazoo, MI. Having 39 plus years experience in servicing, repairs and installation of many types of heating and air conditioning systems. From drips to leaks, we can fix them. As a Master Plumber, we offer various plumbing needs whether it's a leaking faucet, repiping the water lines to new construction of your own home or a commercial building. We also do barrier free bath and kitchen design and installation, CAPS1 Certified. Furnace replacements using Comfortmaker 97% high efficiency products. Solar hot water and Bosch tank less water heaters have been popular since 1980 when we installed our first systems in Kalamazoo. PV solar energy and the Windspire "made in Michigan" wind turbine were added in 2008. Backflow prevention testing and repairing. We use only licensed and insured sub-contractors to assist us with all of our projects depending upon the scope. We have held licenses in Indiana & Michigan as Plumbing & Mechanical Contractors since 1980. We are a Consumers Energy & DTE Trade Allies. Watch for our huge moving billboard going down the road to our next project, it's a Sprinter van, the largest van made on the road by Mercedes Benz. They arrived on time for the estimate and for the work. They were friendly and professional. They were careful regarding our house and rugs and we were very satisfied with their service.
Description of Work: Provider removed and replaced cast iron pipes that were leaking.

Our water heater igniter failed the night before we were leaving for a week. We called Eco-Friendly and left a key. They found problem, but since it is a Sears water heater under warranty they let us know, no charge. Called Sears and they couldn't come until 5 days after our return, I.e. no hot water until then. Decided to forego warranty, Called Eco-friendly, they acquired needed Sears part, repaired, for $160, including two or three visits and the new igniter!! They kept us informed via email too. We came home to hot water.
Description of Work: Two or three home visits, investigate water heater, determine cause was bad igniter, communicated with us numerous times (we were away) re status, fixed per our wishes.
