house painters
+ -1 moreThis went very well. Bates and the young fellow who worked with him carefully repaired small parts of the house as they prepared for painting. They were careful to protect surrounding areas from over spray and they followed up the spray painting with brush touch up. The contract called for partial payment ( $3,000) before starting the project. I paid as requested, he did the work as requested. Additionally, he allowed me to use the bucket lift in the evenings to trim the trees so that squirrels can no longer fly to the roof. During the painting process he encouraged me to have them paint the porch floor. He scheduled this painting on the Monday following completion of the work. That work was not done.
Description of Work: Bates provided an estimate for painting the two-story section of our house. The house is approximately 160 years old with 10ft ceilings; and lap siding. I did not have the windows or doors painted. They rented a big lift tractor to reach the high sections of the house. They scraped, primed and spray painted the sides and fascia. The scraping and other preparation work was done quite well (we had squirrel damage in the upper fascia and it was repaired so that the damage is not visible from the ground). The painters worked around several rainy days but remained on the job as much as possible and finished work in a timely way. They did careful work, were pleasant to have on the premises, and their work looks good.
