Weed Man - Jenison MI

They always call a few days before they come out. They come out when they say they will and I'm happy with the work they do.

My husband and I signed a contract and sent in a deposit for snowplowing in September and then on October 30 we received a letter and our check back from them stating that they re-evaluated their service area and can no longer service us. Apparently having a signed contract means nothing to them. My husband has a bad back and can't do the driveway and we've been calling around and everybody else is booked. It would have been nice if they would have told us from the beginning so we had more time to find a service that is going to be reliable. I'm very dissatisfied.

The DeVries company did an excellent job. My yard is an extension of my home. DeVries company did an excellent job in their maintenance of that perspective and my property. I can't think of one gripe to write about. Devries maintained my landscape, mowed every week, edged every other week, weeded the beds, fertilized and took care of plowing and even shoveled my front walk and porch in the winter, because I couldn't do it. They kept the front door clear in case, just in case if I needed to get out of the house. Sure I paid for their services, but how many companies go above and beyond? Well DeVries did. We have since moved into a Condominium Development or I would still be their customer.

They are awesome. The only reason I don?t use them anymore is because I was the only account they had left in my area. Most of their service area fell on the other side of town. Despite this they were able to assist me in finding another service provider to fill the gap. They were outstanding in everything they did for me. I would be told by my neighbors that I had the best lawn in the neighborhood. I worked with Roger and he was available anytime I had questions or needed anything. He was responsive to my needs and would address them immediately.

They were very good. They were very open with their scheduling. They gave me a quote but told me when they would be available. They did an excellent job. They went above and beyond. I asked for a decorative tree and they gave me more than I anticipated.

This treatment went well. lawn care is done by their company under the name of "Weedman". We have used DeVries for over 20 years but I feel the costs of services has gone up too much. We have used them for weeding, mulching, and planting flowers, fall and spring cleanup.The management is knowledgeable and friendly. Over the years the quality of work has gone down somewhat. Overall they would rate a 'B' from us.

I am so pleased with their service. The snowplow guy was so reliable and it was a huge relief for me not to worry about all the snow we got this past winter!

It was a horrible winter and they were great after getting the early season kinks worked out. The quality of work wasn't that great. They piled the snow in our neighbor's yard on our sidewalk which, with the volume, caused some problems including a blocked sidewalk all season long.

They are very pleasant people; however, I did not think their quality was too great. They always arrived as planned, but the workers were careless. They often did not pay attention to the finer details. I complained regularly and the management was responsive and offered remediation; however, the same pattern continued throughout the whole season and I got tired of having to watch everything so carefully. Quite frankly, I grew very tired of complaining. I have moved on to a different service provider for 2013 and my experience is all positive. I have never had to lodge a single concern and the price was a little lower than what I was charged by DeVries Landscape Management.

Talked to Joe and received an estimate for a one time lawn care service. He explained that the price would be $90 because how tall my grass(calf high) was and I have just under an acre of land. We setup a time for Friday or Tuesday. Around 1:50p two guys showed up and started working on my lawn. Went out to talk to them about being a day early and they said they wanted to get it in today because it was suppose to rain Friday. I could not believe that they just came over and got the job done the same day. Super impressed with how quick and efficient they where.

The technician whipped out our lawn very quickly. I noticed that we still had quite a few weeds a couple weeks later but it has been a very bad summer for weeds. We had to call to schedule grub service when we noticed we had a lot of tunneling. This was in contrast to the service we had with Scotts who automatically did things we didn't even know we were signing up for and pressed us to have even more services. My husband got very annoyed with Scotts because of this and that is why we tried Weed Man. We're still undecided about Weed Man for next year. They have been very pleasant to deal with and the price is reasonable.

We have used them on a yearly basis. They apply early fall and remove as soon as weather permits. They also drive by during the season to check appearance and look for burned out lights, which they will replace if needed.

Very good service for the money. Lawn always looks great and they come every week at just about the same time. The only thing that I was unhappy with was their snowplowing service. I tried to hire them and they gave me an estimate but then later told me that my driveway was too narrow to get their truck down. Then they told me it would be an extra charge not only to shovel the driveway, but also to clean the sidewalk and porch area and that each job would require a different person to do. So three people would have to come to my house every time it snowed. Huh? Every other snowplowing service I talked to provides all of these services in one trip and for a much cheaper price.

Very professional. Have used for several years

Both the office staff and the workers who come out are polite and helpful. We had several questions in the beginning and Rog was extremely helpful and even stopped over one night after dinner to answer a few questions. We've been extremely pleased with their service.

He was out about 3 weeks ago to kill some weeds and lay some fertilizer. This is the 1st year we used them and they did a fine job. The only thing that I wasn't crazy about was that he didn't let me know he was there or when he was leaving. I would have liked to talk to him and have him answer some questions for me. He seemed to work hard and I give them a B rating.

I was actually not here; I was at work when they came. It was all exteriors, so they didn't need to come into the house. I always had really good luck with them. The price was okay, but I know that all of that stuff was pretty expensive. They were very prompt, and came when they said they were going to. I would use them again in the future.

Always wanted and like lights for Christmas outside. Saw in add in newspaper and contacted them. Very professional and responded quickly. Explained services and cost and saving the following years. They put the lights up in a timely fashion and took them down the same way.

I called them for a lawn care quote, but they were not cheap. I will probably call them back the next time. They were very professional, responsive; I had called them back to re-plough and they came back promptly. They did a quality job and I will use them again in the future.

My overall experience was excellent. The workers showed up promptly each week and did an excellent job. I was so pleased overall, I've hired them for my winter snowplowing and my Christmas decorating each winter.

They mow the field every two weeks. I never have to worry about it.

The yard looked great by the end of the summer. We were satisfied with how they treated us. They made great time and were very professional.

They do a good job. I thought the price for mowing was good, but some of the other things can get pricey.

Called them twice before they returned my call, but after contacting them they came out immediately and gave me a quote.

We were so happy with the work that Devries had done with our lawn during the conversion process with our mortgage and the transfer of ownership to us that we decided to use them during the winter to plow our circular driveway. They would come out before six thirty am in the morning and do the job so my husband could get to work, were always punctual and very professional. We are going to use them this summer for our lawn care as well.
