Winter Stone showed up when they said they would; worked quickly and efficiently and were done within an hour. LOVE the outcome and we constantly get compliments on their work. It's been 4 years of wear and tear on the countertops, through 100's of people who have rented and we've had no issues whatsoever! Would recommend them and use them, again! Contact me if you want to see photos!

They were surprisingly quick & cleaned up afterward. Both fellows were polite & pleasant - highly recommend this company.
Description of Work: 1st visit - measured cabinets, cooktop, etc. for granite. Explained their process & how to care for granite counters. Took new sink with him to make sure the correct contour would be cut. 2nd visit - installed the granite - made cut out for cooktop and faucet on site, and installed the sink.

Scheduled to come 'in the morning', showed up at 1 pm. Started off by complaining about how tough of a job it was going to be. There were four pieces, the first three went in without too much trouble (although with some more complaining). The last one was the centerpiece and the two guys struggled with it. I ended up helping them because it didn't appear that they were able to place it on the cabinets without destroying them. Some time during the install my tape measure disappeared from one of my (exposed) kitchen drawers and I had to ask twice to get it back from the guy who took it probably by accident, but it shouldn't have happened. Then they proceeded with the cutout for the sink which created enormous amounts of dust that set of the fire alarm and caused firefighters show up (and required extensive cleaning afterwards). They claimed it was the first time this happened and blamed the vacuum they used. A bit of a warning about extensive dust would have gone a long way but the way it happened it seemed very haphazard and unprofessional. Afterwards I talked to the owner of the company and he was defending his crew more than he was concerned about improving the customer experience. Not good.
Description of Work: Installation of countertops as a sub-sub-contractor through Home Depot.

I had a very bad experience with Winter Stone. They have consistently showed up late for work. When they ripped out the old counter top they left a hole in the cabinetry. They've come back twice to fix the hole. Neither time have they fixed it correctly. I am hopeful the third time they show up they can fix the issue. It actually looks worse since the initial damage. Furthermore there were spots on the quartz countertop. We could not get these spots off of the countertop. They sent their quality assurance guy out to fix that. He used a razor blade to scrape the spot off, and it didn't work. It has actually left a weird mark itself. We are still in talks with Winterstone regarding that issue as well. They have now said there is no way to fix the spots, we are hopeful they will reimburse us monetarily. All in all it has been a bad experience, and I would not reccomend their services.

Thank you for the feedback member. That is the best way for a company to grow, improve, and make any changes necessary. I would like to again extend my apologies to you and your family for the experience that you have had. We did try very hard to satisfy you. You also told me in our conversations that you could see how hard our crews were working to fix the situation. As for the hole in your cabinet, it was very much an accident that was created from the way that your countertop was attached to the edge of your cabinet. Yes we did try twice to fix and it was not to your liking. We did though get the cabinet taken care of for you and you were also compensated for your time and troubles. As for the spots on your countertops, Winter Stone was working alongside with your fabricator with this issue. It was the fabricators employee who came out to remove the spots for you. I do again apologize for the spots, but these were not created by Winter Stone and we did take every step and involve all parties necessary to take care of the issue. And again, there was compensation for the situation. Again, thank you for your feedback and please accept our apologies. Winter Stone LLC

They responded immediately. They supplied countertops, but it took them a long time to finish the work. We had an issue with the dishwasher staying in. They came right out to fix it. We anticipated close to a month for the stone to get cut and so forth, but got it within ten days. The price was only a quarter of what we had anticipated. We got more things done as a result. The workmanship was perfect. We had a little bit of an issue with the follow-up, but they were right out here again to fix it.
Description of Work: We used Winter Stone to install countertops.
