Safety Systems Inc

Before contacting Safety Systems, Inc., I had home security systems from several different companies, and I have had problems with all of them. I already had a security system installed in my home, but it was no longer working and I was having so many problems with the company that installed it that I gave up on trying to fix it. I called Safety Systems, Inc. to ask if they could take over the monitoring of my system. Unfortunately, Safety Systems was not able to use the system I had, and they recommended that a new system be installed, at least as far as the control panel was concerned; most of the pre-wired sensors and contacts of the old system could still be used, however. In a way it made sense to me to replace the control panel, since I was having problems with the old system, if I kept the same system I thought I may still have the same problems as before. Also, in my old system I had cell phone backup, which had caused me lots of problems and was no longer even working. Safety Systems offered a radio backup which does not use cell phone communications, rather it uses a radio network specifically set up for security monitoring. The estimate Security Systems gave for the system upgrade was much higher than I got from the other, larger security companies that I talked to; however I had the feeling that the problems I had had in the past would continue if I went with one of the big companies, and I liked the responsiveness of Security Systems and I felt that their recommendations were more thorough and that I would end up with a system that I was more satisfied with from them. Therefore I decided to go ahead with the upgrades they proposed. The installation took about one day, and the installer who came out to do the work did an excellent job. The system was thoroughly tested and the radio backup was tested and monitored for the next several days to make sure that the reception was adequate. Also Safety Systems arranged daily test signals over the radio backup to make sure that the system continues to operate properly. The only minor problem I had was after the installation, I encountered some resistance to some of the options I wanted to be programmed into the system, such as panic alarms. However with some persistence I was able to have everything included that I wanted. I have had the system for several months now and I've had no problems with it whatsoever. So far it's been a refreshing change from all the problems I've had in the past with alarm companies.
