He tried to do it in November. He came back and did it right. I have the chimney leaking orange down to my basement. I can't get him to call me back. I had a painter to help me paint but I don't know if the leak is fixed yet.

Not only did he misdiagnose the problems, he never came back to follow-up despite verbally committing to on two separate occasions.

The job started last October and last winter brought the work to a halt in early November. Started back in June and finished in August. Jim is a professional in his work and manner. I would trust him and have him work for me in the future.

I called the business and left messages for an evaluation of our issue and a quote for their services. No response from anyone. I understand it seems everyone in the business is backed up right now, but no response is extremely unprofessional. For jobs as big as siding, you want a business you can count on and it's a bad sign if they can't even return your call. To be honest, I called every siding business listed on Angie ' List-- no answers, no responses, and no returned calls from any of them. What a huge disappointment.

He arrived when he said he would, He did excellent work and made sure it was done right. Cost was fair.

I waited until after the winter to post this review because i wanted to see how the install held up after it took a winter beating and the high winds of spring. The results were very positive, with the roof looking great. Jim was easy to work with, identified the problems we had, provided a temporary repair to stop leaks and found matching shingles and did the full job at near his quote cost (we needed more material after project started and needs were clearer). Jim had injured his foot and we did have delays due his recovery, but he got up on that steep roof as soon as he was able to do the job. He was quick to respond to inquiries and did no more than job required.

Had leak in bathroom ceiling. Leak did not reappear. Will hire him to rebuild chimney in spring 2014.

He was the only one that responed. He gave me two different products he could put on the chimney. He was the only one that called so we hired him. However, he wanted 1800 up front to get material. The whold bid was 3500. We paid him the 1800, then he was supposed to start the project. He then called and said he broke his ankle so he put it off until August. He then came back in August and finished the job. I can't say it was a good experience, but the job he did was good. It ended up being 400 more than his original bid.

Did not go so well. No return call after initial visit.

Right after the big snow storm, we ended up with a roof leak in our kitchen. We called several companies, but Jim was the only one who didn't try to put us off til after the holidays. He came out even though it was bad weather, assessed the situation and fixed it. He then came back 2 more times to make sure everything was ok. We are senior citizens and really appreciate dealing with a competent, honest serviceman. Also, his fee was very reasonable. We will definitely call upon his services again and would highly recommend him.

I initially called 3 different dedicated siding companies for this job. NOT ONE OF THEM CALLED ME BACK. Contacted Jim with my need. He came out within a couple days and gave me a written estimate. Once I received the check from the insurance company and sent it out to Jim, he was here within a week (exactly on the day he said he would be here) and performed the service expertly. I never met Jim face to face but I got a really good feeling about him just speaking on the phone. I would without question, call JR Enterprises for any handyman home repair needs again. Thank You

He did a pretty good job.

I spoke with the owner of JR enterprises on 9/6 or 9/7, requesting a bid on a new roof and explaining that we would be doing a total renovation in a few years. I never received a response. UPDATE: I did receive a response on 9/26. Perhaps there was some miscommunication as to my timeline.

He has helped us avoid costly repairs because he uses good common sense, something that was obvious in Jim's first visit, but not so with other contractors. We have more jobs lined up for him and are happy to have found him!

Everything went exceptionally well. Jim came out when he said that he would be there for the estimate (can't say this about other contractors). He even called to let me know that he was going to be a few minutes late. He was very thorough so we are confident that the source of the problem has been found and fixed. He did excellent, high quality work and was a VERY clean worker. The work took more than one day, but when he left you never would have known that he was here. He cleaned everything up completely every day.As I said before, the work is VERY high quality. We are extremely happy and felt that his pricing was more than fair. Jim also kept us updated on how things were going and if he found any additional problems. We already have Jim scheduled to come back to do some more work.We would highly recommend him!!

Jim Rhodes was prompt, courteous and efficient. He kept me informed through every step, which was great since we are only at the cottage on occasional weekends. The repairs are quality. I would recommend Jim without reservation.

Jim did an excellent job. He completed the job in about the time he quoted. The workmanship is top quality. Jim arrived at the time he stated for the initial inspection and submitted his bid in a reasonable time. After completion he cleaned up very well, would not have known the job had taken place. When the porch was added years ago the fascias did not line up, but Jim did a great job. It now looks like one continuous roofline. Jim suggested we use Kolbe windows and they fit and operate great. The vinyl cedar shakes look great also. Should we have more work done in the future we will not hesitate to give Jim a call.
