+ 0 moreBig Thank you to Doug at Superior Hoist-Dock in Howell Michigan. I purchased my hoist over twenty years ago. Never had a problem until one day the cable snapped. Doug at Superior Hoist-Dock took my call and was on it right away. They had a pontoon with a small crane on at my dock in a couple of days even though I live over 30 miles away. Fixed my hoist with stainless steel cable and we were back in action in no time. Wow! Thank you for the fast, friendly, and above and beyond service.

+ 0 moreWhen they eventually showed up, they did a fair job. (Hoists needed to be readjusted later on for leveling) Subsequent years we would call but they would not call back promptly or not at all. They use a pontoon/barge with a crain, which is very nice. But apparently only come when they have other jobs on the same lake. Not reliable.
Description of Work: They moved our hoists And dock section for a few years.

+ -1 moreThey were the only dock and hoist company that ended up calling me back. The interaction with them was overall okay. I know it is a busy industry, and they were good at responsiveness, but it did take them a long time to get them scheduled. They provided what I expected. They installed the dock, and the dock stayed put, and they also moved the hoist over. The price was competitive. They were a little late.

Description of Work: More like what he didn't do. Talked to him four times he kept promising he was going to come out to give me an estimate on the job and two months later I'm still waiting for him to call me back and set up an appointment.

+ 1 moreThe interesting thing is that they have a boat platform that has a motor-powered crane that lifts the hoist. We had used people before that just used a bunch of people to manually do this, but they use a contraption to do this. I like their service and Doug is a really friendly guy. I have recommended them to others.
Description of Work: They lift our boat hoist in and out which literally requires LIFTING more than 6 feet to put it up on the deck (we have no beach to drag it up on to). They also extend our dock for about $25-35.
