I tweaked the door on my dump trailer. To try to save time I ordered a new door, thinking I could just slap it on. Surprise! the door did not match the trailer and had been shoddily constructed with the hinge barrels mis-aligned. I called Amerivet. I didn't get Gary- he sent out two younger guys. They came out and diagnosed the problem and fixed it quickly. They were both personable, polite and worked well together. Great quality work, very reasonable pricing, great communication. Don't hesitate, call these guys.
Description of Work: fixed a non fitting trailer door

The job was performed on-time, professionally and at a very reasonable cost. Our fence was cut in five spots to allow for large equipment into our backyard to repair our pool. This turned out to be an easy and fast repair, and was completed with expertise resulting in a seamless repair. We were very impressed.

I had originally tried to get the work done locally in Ann Arbor at a very reputable fabrication shop. They quoted $80 an hour and said it looked like a complicated task and it would probably take the better part of a day. That worried me, but they had a very good reputation and said they thought they should have it done within a week. To make a long story short, they didn't get to it and didn't know when they would. So, I looked on Angie's list and saw that Amerivet had several 'A' reviews. I called and dropped off the parts with a diagram of what I wanted done, but Gary was out on a job at the time. We talked on the phone later and he seemed to understand the instructions I gave him. He said he had a number of jobs, but because there was rain in the forecast he should be able to get to it within a week. He asked whether I preferred MIG or TIG weld, and I pleaded ignorance. So he patiently explained the difference and I went with TIG welding. Turns out the weather was nicer than expected, but Gary made a point of getting to my job and completing it in time for me to pick it up as originally planned. The welding was excellent. Due to a miscommunication, one part was welded in the wrong spot. Gary had already packed up all his welding gear in his truck so he could leave for his jobs that day, but patiently and with a sincere smile unloaded all his gear, which took 20 minutes, so he could weld the part to my satisfaction. I told him he was an inspiration to me in the patience he displayed. Gary charged me cost less than one third of what the other place would have charged and I got to deal with a very pleasant person. I'm recommending Amerivet to anyone who I know has a welding job!
Description of Work: Gary welded several pieces of C-Channel and tubing for a custom TV antenna bracket.

Gary actually gave me a reduced price from the quote because it was a small job. But having him do it in my home saved me the hassle of getting that thing out of the basement. I would have paid twice as much, and he charged me half as much. Highly recommend!
Description of Work: Amerivet Services came to my home and welded a broken treadmill, which is now running like new.

Description of Work: Gary maticulously proposed several methods to complete my project, but in the end helped me to realize the best option was to not use his services at all. He spent alot of time helping me come to that conclusion, when he could have made a bundle off of me instead. While I didn't use him and can't provide feedback to the quality of his work, I'd certainly contact him again and trust he'd do the job. He communicated very well and was very prompt in doing so.

This was a great experience from start to finish. We had two wrought iron lawn chairs that needed simple repair. I called and left a message on Sunday, asking if there was any way to get them fixed by Thursday morning. Tammy called me back 10a Monday and told me that Gary suggested I bring them by his current work site, just 3 miles from my house. As soon as I arrived at the site, Gary fixed them there in 10 minutes and we were on our way home again. I couldn't have asked for an easier and better fix!
