AMC was super helpful and professional in answering questions and making arrangements. They were my first choice company after talking to 4 others. A different company offered to do the work and extend the scope of the job which was really helpful because of our crazy situation at the time. It all happened so fast that I failed to notify AMC in a timely manner and I missed the appointment with them. They were super professional about it even though they were clearly very annoyed, as is perfectly reasonable.

Excellent. Aaron was 15 minutes early. Explained everything in detail and completed the system on the same day. The basement and exterior work space was cleaner than he found it. I couldn't be happier with Aaron and his staff. He came to my house, a late-1940's constructed cape cod-style home I purchased in 2009 to give me the initial estimate, which was a fair amount cheaper than the other quote I requested from a competitor. NOTE: the cost cited here is the full cost, prior to reimbursement from the ZAI Trust (Zonolite Attic Insulation) 55% reimbursement. He was great to work with, very friendly, quick to respond to any communication and even retrieved the mail for me upon my request as we planned to be away from our home during the abatement process. He and his staff went above and beyond, exceeding my expectations for the final product. There was one area which was not included in the initial estimate as it was not visible during the original inspection due to being in a gable at the rear of the attic and covered by the existing insulation. Aaron and I worked out a very reasonable adjustment for this additional area and other than that everything went according to plan. The work was done efficiently, meeting all legal environmental requirements, well within the estimated time frame and I couldn't be happier with the end product. What a novelty to see the "guts" of the attic infrastructure after the abatement, kind of like seeing the sea bed after the tide had gone out. If you have vermiculite insulation in your attic and are looking at getting it removed, I'd advise doing it NOW while the ZAI Trust is still funded and with AMC Environmental as your abatement company. In the end, the 45% I paid for the abatement was MUCH lower than anything I had estimated in the past and now the attic is clear and free for future construction projects.

On my initial call, I had to leave a message but Mindi called me back in a timely manner and we set up an appointment for a couple of days later. Aaron was scheduled to come after 3pm that day but he didn't show up until close to 5pm. He was extremely appologetic and said there was some kind of scheduling mixup. It was not a problem for me and he was genuinely remorseful about the mixup. I know things like that can happen. He took the sample from my siding even though it was difficult to get to and gave me his honest opinion that he did not think that it was asbestos siding. He did not pressure me to have it tested. I decided to do that anyway so that I could have proof for the insulation company. The results came within a few business days and confirmed Aaron's expert opinion that it was not asbestos siding. I thought this company was very honest and sincere to work with and would highly recommend them.

Aaron and Tyrone were awesome! We had the misfortune of learning that some of our cold air return ductwork was lined with asbestos, so we had Aaron came out to inspect our basement and give us a quote. He really emphasized making sure that the job was done right and he took plenty of time to explain the process of how the containment areas would be set up, how the asbestos would be removed and disposed of, and how he would clean up. We really liked his enthusiasm, so we hired him to do the job. He and his assistant Tyrone showed up early on Saturday morning and Aaron walked us through the basement again, showing us exactly how he was going to set everything up (including doing some drywall demo work that covered up part of the asbestos). About 3 hours later they were all done without any issues whatsoever. Aaron walked us through the basement again showing us where they'd taken all the asbestos out and everything looked great. Highly recommend using AMC Environmental if you need to have asbestos removed!

AMC Environmental and Aaron (and Mindy!) Croff were great to deal with. Aaron explained how he would perform the removal in a detailed and professional manner and then went ahead and executed exactly as he had described. This was a large job, with almost 400 feet of steam pipe wrapped with corrugated asbestos insulation. Almost half of these pipes were running through occupied apartments. Aaron "glove bagged" these pipes and was able to quickly and safely remove the asbestos with the minimal disturbance to the occupants. When asked he readily provided me with his insurance and Michigan State License information, which all checked out. In addition to the great work, he was great to deal with, provided detailed invoices that were completely in "synch" with the estimates he gave at the beginning of the job. I highly recommend him.

Aaron was extremely forthright and basically treated the job like it was his own basement on the line. His recommendations were honest and comprehensive and we ultimately went with all his suggestions. He had a great eye for detail and pointed out some potential concerns ahead of time, as well as what could be done to mitigate them. The price was *extremely* reasonable given the scope of the project. Aaron and Tyrone showed more or less exactly on time the day of the job and working hard from the get-go. They were industrious in the extreme, even going out their way to clean up tile edging on areas where a basement remodel had placed walls over the tile in order to make things a little nicer for the flooring people coming next week. The entire operation took a little over 6 hours and was without a doubt the smoothest construction/housework related project I've ever been part of. All throughout, both of them were consummate professionals with a clear mastery of their work; it was clear that they were as careful and quality-focused as they would have been for their own houses. They also pointed out some issues with our basement electrics that they noticed. I know I already mentioned it twice, but their sense of ownership over the entire process was commendable; the entire lifecycle- from scheduling a test to the estimate to coordinating timing for the abatement to the job itself- felt like white glove treatment. Great, great experience. I not hesitate to recommend them. In fact, if a friend in the area *weren't* going through AMC I'd have to sit them down and have Words.

Our house tested at 6.2. We have a finished basement and two kids so we were very concerned. My husband hates the look of regular radon systems so he was happy when Aaron at AMC said they could install a garage attic system so you see nothing from the outside. It looks great. AMC also gave us a free follow up test and our numbers are now 0.4. I'm happy with the service and that our numbers are so low now.

We contacted AMC Environmental to test our rental house located in Ann Arbor in early March. Results were fast - we had our number in 48 hours. It was high at 7.8 pCi/L. AMC provided us a quote and came and installed the system the next day. We were able to meet all our deadlines with the new tenant. Their customer service was excellent. Our follow up test came back at 0.7 pCi/L. We are thrilled with how quickly the testing took placed and the problem was solved. We would recommend them to anyone.

My neighbor had high levels of radon so I wanted to tested my house. My results came back at 8.4. I began calling some companies for quotes on Monday, June 10th. I was very impressed with AMC Environmental. The girl who answers the phone Mindi took a lot of time with me. I had about 20 questions and she did not rush me and answered them all. One company I called never called me back until 2 days later and the other company was very quick with me on the phone...I felt like a number. I decided to hire AMC Environmental because of their customer service and pricing. I called back again after I called the other two company's with more questions and Mindi answered them all and made my decision easy. They were able to come and install the system for me on Wednesday at a time when I could be there and home from work which was great. The tech's name was Aaron and he is also the owner. He walked me through everything he was going to do. He did an excellent job on the installation. The entire process took about 3 hours I think. We were able to place the unit in an area that was the least noticeable. He did a great job cleaning up everything. When he was done he went through and explained the system to me, how it works, and again answered any questions I had. I would highly recommend AMC Environmental to anyone needing a radon system.

I had hired AMC Environmental earlier in June to install a radon mitigation system for me. While talking to Aaron when he was doing the radon system I found out they also handle asbestos. I showed him some floor tiles that were in a bedroom of my house. I wanted to know if they contained asbestos because I was having the floors redone and the wood flooring company would not install the floors until they had a report. Aaron took a sample of the tile and had it tested for me. He was able to put a rush on it for me which was great. It came back as the tiles having asbestos but not the glue material they used to stick the tiles to the floor (sorry I can't think of the word). Anyway, the tiles needed to be removed. AMC Environmental provided me a quote and could do it within the time frame I needed it done which was great. Again, Aaron came back on June 25th to remove the floor tiles. He set up a containment area and did a great job. Again, I was very impressed with how quickly he got everything removed and how well everything looked when he was done. He takes a lot of pride in making sure everything is cleaned up and to the customer's satisfaction.
