+ -1 moreKevin was punctual, arrived right on time and was very friendly throughout the inspection. He is extremely knowledgeable in what he does, giving a thorough walk-through inside and out. He takes the time to explain everything he inspects and welcomes you to accompany him as he inspects so that you understand what he can and can't officially inspect and offers suggestions based on what he sees. The report was very detailed and will help us to make home improvements for many years to come. He did mention that he will soon be cutting back his time, so be sure to book appointments in advance to assure you can use this excellent home inspector.

+ -1 moreKevin, the owner, arrived an hour and a half before our scheduled appointment and had completed the inspection upon our arrival. He took us room by room and explained in detail everything that he noticed and whether or not something needed to be addressed, the timeframe in which it should be addressed, and in what way it needed to be addressed. It took us about an hour and a half to go through the entire house, both inside and out, as he explained his findings and gave us as much time as we needed for questions afterwards. He takes pictures of everything, and provides a thorough report that we were able to access online afterwards, so we didn't need to take notes while going around the house with him. The report was available for us to access the evening of our inspection. I would highly recommend Kevin and his company. I had used him 8 years ago to inspect the home we are now moving out of, and his excellent work then lead me to seek him out again. If you're moving into a house in Mid-Michigan, you should definitely seek out Goff Home Inspection.

+ -1 moreEverthing went great. My wife and i were very happy with services performed and we bought the house. Kevins report has become my honey-do list.
Description of Work: Kevin Goff was a fantastic home inspector. He arrived early and had already completed his inspection on the exterior of the home by the timeI had gotten there. His son had setup for the radon test days earlier so that we would have the results the same day as the home inspection. He was incredibly thourogh and spent over a hour walking us top to bottom on our house showing us his findings. After the inspection was over we were emailed a detailed report with pictures on everthing he found.

+ -1 moreExcellent overall experience. He arrived at address early, and inspected home pretty much before we got there. Pointed out many things that new home owners will need to do.Very informative. Had inspection report ready for viewing on his website that evening, accompanied with pictures. We were impressed with that.
Description of Work: Home inspection for HUD owned home. Went into attic, checked all furnace, hot water tank, sump pump, water pump. all plumbing. Inspected outside of home, stated roof was snow covered and was unable to inspect, hoever home is fairly new and estimated a 15 years continued life. We felt he could of brushed off snow and inspected. Refered us to water softner manufacturer. we felt he should of been able to inspect it and advise if it was working. We were pleased overall with his performance and subsequent report.

+ -1 moreOur overall experience with Goff Home Inspection was a great experience.
Description of Work: I called Goff Home Inspection on a Sunday afternoon and left a message. I would say within an hour an hour Kevin called me back. We discussed what needed and he quoted me a price. I also wanted a Radon testing done, which was done by his son. Kevin also set up a pest inspection for us. Kevin coordinated all three services to be done on the same day which saved us from having to take more time off work. On day of the inspection my husband and I showed up at the schedule time and Kevin, his son, and the pest inspector was already there. Kevin had already been at the house for three hours going over all the areas that needed to be covered. Kevin came over to the property three days earlier to set up the radon reader. This allowed his son the ability to give us the radon levels on the same day as the home inspection. As a group, we went through each room and discussed areas of concerns and areas that were really good. Through the whole processes, Kevin did an excellent job in explaining everything in detail. I was feeling very overwhelmed. However; I was very relived that everything that he suggested and recommended were given to us in a report. Kevin's written report was very detailed and had a lot of pictures for future reference. Kevin even gave recommendations on contractors he has good service with. My husband and I received the inspection report the next day. We are truly happy with the service we received from Kevin.

+ -1 moreIt was an overall good experience. I was a somewhat nervous as this was my first home inspection, but Kevin Goff was great and I ended up buying the house.....which I love now.
Description of Work: Kevin was very thorough. He explained what he was going to do, from start to finish, and would walk me through when he was done. He did a very comprehensive inspection, showed me areas that needed attention, and had good advice. His report was detailed and included pictures for easy reference. I would definitely recommend Goff Home Inspections to anyone that asked. Very pleased, here!

+ -1 moreKevin arrived at the property early and had just started when I got there. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and courteous. He explained everything he was going to inspect and how he was going to do it. He was very descriptive and thorough. He finished the inspection in a little over an hour. He made sure I did not have any questions and we parted ways. He emailed me my home report, within a few hours, that was very detailed and included photographs of all the areas inspected. He inserted red arrows into the pictures that showed the areas that needed attention.I was very satisfied with the experience I had with Goff Home Inspections.
Description of Work: Kevin inspected all aspects of the home including plumbing, electrical, wall and floor coverings, roof, attic, and basement.
