Mark arrived on time to my home. Very nice, professional, and was even wearing the top hat and feather! Service was excellent and the company seems very competent in the work they perform. Great job! Will be using them from here on out.

Eric and Riley did a great job for a very fair price, diagnosing and fixing of several problems that popped up. For anyone worried about price gouging, they showed a lot of integrity by replacing parts at no extra cost when they easily could have gotten by keeping mismatched but functioning accessories. Also, it is not cost-effective to dig into the gas lines and the firebox just to sell an upgrade. Outside work such as installing a color-coordinated chimney cap might yield a profit. Chimney Sweeps are very busy. I recommend getting on the books early or doing an off-season inspection. My fireplace is up and running, but I plan to get a level 2 inspection to have more knowledge and peace of mind about the house. In hindsight, I should have gotten a nicer log set, but I wanted to keep costs down in case I had to spend more on repairs.

Eric & Riley were our service guys, and they did everything right!… These guys laid down tarps on the flooring throughout the house in order to get to the fireplace. They installed a BEAUTIFUL gas log fireplace for us. Looks very real and we are so very happy with it. Even after it was done they rechecked to make certain everything was safe and no gas was leaking out. They also went over all of the amazing features and safety features it has on it too. I’m feeling much safer after hearing all about it.— While here we had them service our basement gas fireplace. Eric noticed some issues that weren’t up to snuff, he took pictures to document everything and went over it with us. He redid the venting and also repainted the interior black, he noticed some rusting starting to happen. So happy and GRATEFUL for these two men and the jobs they did for us yesterday. The mark of a good service company is the lack of need to take on an additional project (clean up) after the project is completed. This is definitely the case with CJW Chimney Sweep! Greg and Will placed runners all the way from the front door to the fireplace completely covering the tile and wood floor that was trafficked. In addition the entire fireplace hearth was covered. After their efficient professional work, there was NOTHING left to clean up. This is very highly appreciated which is exactly why we are repeat customers.

They explained in detail what the issues were. Most of which I really didn’t want to hear. However, I’m glad they were honest. At least I will have a clear path forward when I receive the final report and recommendations.

Eric and Mark performed the work, were professional, took time to explain things, and did an excellent job. Also impressed how they laid down blankets to avoid leaving dirt on carpet or wood floors. We had not had the unit serviced in the 15 years we lived here, so it needed it. They completely cleaned up the firebox and hardware, and took extra time to clean out the venting on the outside which had hornet and bee nests embedded in them (likely causing our problem of the flame going out after 10 minutes of operation). Then put everything back together and tuned the flame. Unit works great and problem solved. Very pleased with the service performed.

Usually, I don't give recommendation but I had to do it this time because of amazing professionalism that this company has. I was in touch with Chuck at CJW where I gave him a report around my house. He explained to me on how to exactly proceed with this issue. He was extremely professional, honest and most importantly guided me through exactly on what' needs to be done. The technicians arrived at the scheduled time and called prior to indicate they were on their way. They were professional in performing the service. Floor coverings and technician shoe coverings were used to prevent soiling or damaging my carpet. I was pleased with the finished product and will use the services of CJW & Associates again . Kudos to technicians Eric and Greg.

After wasting two weeks of our time, company stated Heatilator did not offer the part. The chase cover was a 3rd party installation; other custom fabricators are available in copper, stainless steel and stainless powder coated black.

Really great. Even though there was an issue with the first go at the custom cap, a second one was ordered and installed within days of the originally scheduled install date. They made it worry-free and kept us informed throughout. Recommended them to my neighbors. Kevin and Perlita

The entire experience from booking with CJW to having the service performed was all great. The techs who came actually were significantly early but called ahead to be sure that early was okay. They were very careful to protect our walls and carpet and seemed quite thorough in their cleaning and inspecting. I would definitely go to them again and would recommend CJW to others.

They didn’t show up no calls they came 5 days later didn’t put down tarp or mats then crawls around and washed all the mess down the roof and now all the shingles around the Area are worn out and chimney looks like was just patch

Contacted company. Very responsive. Scheduled cleaning timely within 10 days. Called before arriving and came at scheduled time. Performed cleaning and brick inspection as requested. Very professional and would definitely recommend.

My chimney needed to be rebuilt along with the brick on the front porch. This is the only company that would return my calls AND come out to give me an estimate. They showed up on time, scheduled the job 2 weeks out and rebuilt my chimney from the roof line up. Absolutely wonderful work at a reasonable price. Rebricked my front porch as well. THANKS!

They spent time to inspect the potential issue of the fireplace and charge very high for one time service, above average. They tried to sell their service for second appointment to replace the manual gas valve for about $550. Not recommend for people really want to have their problem fixed for one time. They're not the place you're looking for. I found another company to replace the valve and reorganize the log set for $110. I bought the valve kit for $85. never use them again. Don't know where those high reviews coming from on Angiest list.
