Adkisson Air 1 Heating & Cooling

I am on a contract with them. In the fall they check the furnace to make sure it's running properly and there's no problem. In the spring they check out the air conditioning. For the year the cost is $189. They are professional, knowledgeable, on time, but they don't bring donuts. I have used them since 2010. They do good by me so I stay with them. The worker was knowledgeable, courteous, answered any questions, presented a couple options, and very good. I keep using them because they give me good service for my money.

It went perfectly. Joe was a complete professional. He was right on time and finished the job quickly. He was very informative, courteous, and I would definitely ask for him again.

Their monthly fee was $12. Not a bad price. But not a great price, either. Anyway, my usual technician came to do the regular service call around the holidays. Cold weather and the furnace had been running. It was unusual in that he had someone with him. He was introduced as his supervisor. He was there to make sure that he was doing his job right. After the cleaning and inspection, the tech came up and said that he was going to have to "tag" my furnace and shut it off, due to holes in my heat exchanger. He then outlined my options to replace the furnace. Anywhere between $2000-$4000. I am on SS disability and my furnace is only 6 years old, so I had no money in my budget to spend that much. Thank goodness that I have a wood burning insert in my fireplace. It heats the main floor fine, but the bedrooms were very cold. I heated my home with wood for the next month or so. (Not an easy task for an old, disabled lady like me!) Until I decided to get a second opinion. That company told me there was nothing wrong with the furnace. Really?!? I was suspicious and disappointed to think someone would do this to me. And I didn't know who to believe! So, I paid ANOTHER company to do an inspection. They also said there is nothing wrong with my furnace. Very disappointed, angry, and happy that I didn't fall for their bs. My next step is to report it to the BBB.

They do what they say they will, when they say they will. All their people are professional. They are licensed and are quality people. I have worked with them for years and they have installed our heating and air conditioning systems. They have handled any repairs we have needed along the way.

Adkission installed our system 5 years ago and has maintained it since. Very professional, polite and competent. Not the cheapest outfit in town, but good value for the price.

Every phase of Adkisson's consultation, delivery and installation was prompt, courteous and professional. We have had several less-that-stellar experiences with other HVAC companies, and we particulary appreciated Adkisson's friendly and honest demeanor. We have since recommended Adkisson Air 1 to several friends and even other contractors who have done work at our home.

My mother has a rather large house but she didn't need a industrial size furnace and they advised us about it. Initially furnace was not installed properly but Adkisson Air One Heating and Cooling guys were careful to show what and why they were doing it. There was one part of the house that always seemed cold but the immediate feeling in the house changed so my mother made them do the whole thing because before the upstairs would be boiling and downstairs would be cold but now when she turns the heat down in the winter to 67 and 68 degrees and the house feels comfortable. She has already started saving on the energy bills. They offered the lowest price and when it came to actually work being done the price was further lower by a $100. The payment process was such that we paid 50% upfront and they showed up on time, ready to work and cleaned everything. Our overall experience with them has been good.

My experience was kind of traumatic because my house is not that old. The repair of the leakage would've cost me close to $2000, so I opted to get a new unit. Their price was kind of high, but I decided to go with them because they gave me a ten-year warranty with certain provisions.

The service man arrived on time and installed the unit in about five hours. Everything is working beautifully. Also, the company will be sending someone in the next week or so to double check on the installation.

I was satisfied with the service and bought a service contract to have Heating and Cooling check annually.

Arrived on time, very pleasant. Seemed to take the time required to do a through job.

The installation was done very well, the installer was very knowledge able and there was absolutely no mess of any type. Again I highly recommend the Autumnglo organization.
