septic tank

Description of Work: Voss Septic did an excellent good. They got the project done quickly and minimized the damage to my yard. I would definitely use them again.

septic tank
 + -1 moreGreat. They worked hard and fast and things went smoothly, the inspection went great. We were completely impressed by their knowledge, willingness to move heaven and earth to make it happen in time, and how well they explained what they were doing and how to maintain our system going forward.
Description of Work: The septic system at our cottage failed - it was incredibly old and small, and a miracle it hadn't failed before. We only had 2 weeks before the first of our summer renters were going to arrive - can't have septic problems when people are paying you for a vacation paradise! David at Voss & Sons performed a miracle in getting the permit in time. It took more than one meeting with the Ottawa County inspector at the cottage to get us a new septic layout approved and a variance for being closer than 10 feet to the property line (our cottage association lots are really small). They installed the 2 new tanks plus 4 dry wells for drainage in our cottage back yard in a day and a half. That's another miracle - they had to bring really large equipment into our small side yard to get to the back yard, so they could haul the old tank and yards and yards of sand out, one shovel full at a time. Then they hauled in both tanks and dug them in and hooked them up, and then dug in the four huge concrete dry wells, and then brought in huge amounts of gravel and sand for drainage around those. Then they brought in topsoil to level out the back yard (which is all sand) and the side yard and front yard where the equipment tracked back and forth for 2 days.

drain cleaning
 + -1 moreThe job took them about 1 hour. I thought that the price was right for the service. He did explain the problem to me and recommended that I use some type of deodorizer every 6 months for my septic tank since it is a little older. The smell did go away and has not been back since. I was very happy about that.
Description of Work: I had a foul smell coming up in the bathroom and I had them come out to see what was causing it. They put some type of chemical down all of the drains in the house and in the septic tank outside. It was a treatment that cleans your septic system.

 + 1 moreTHEY HAVE VERY REASONABLE PRICES FOR THEIR SERVICES. THEY ARE ALSO VERY HONEST, AND HARD WORKING PEOPLE. I WILL BE USING THEIR SERVICES AGAIN IN THE FUTURE.
