Notch Cut provided superior service, showing up on time and not leaving until the job was finished. They showed up the next morning at 7:30 am to cut up the remaining tree sections on the ground. I would not hesitate to use them again.

The work was done but I didn't the overall lack of communication.
Description of Work: They gave me an estimate for removing 9 trees, trimming 1 tree, grind up 9 stumps with leaving the mulch. The estimate came to $2290.00 with a senior discount it came to $2061.00. He wanted half down payment when he started the work. We then arranged to make monthly payments. He said he would start the work in December of 2013. I called him in January of 2014 because I hadn't heard anything from him. When he returned my call, he said that he was ill. He came on January 20th and cut down 5 trees and trimmed 1. He was payed $1000 on that day. He didn't come back until 31st to cut down 4 more trees. I payed him $500 that day. All that was left was to grind down the stumps. He said they would be back later that week to finish the grinding. I called April 2nd because they had not come back. He left deep ruts in my neighbors yard and my yard last visit because he used a heavier truck than the one used on January 20th. I wanted an explanation. There was no response. On April 23rd a man showed up to grind the stumps. There was no communication explaining beforehand that he would be out that day. The machine he used to grind stumps threw debris all over our yard and my neighbors yard. I called and left a message asking when the would come to bring topsoil to fill in the ruts in my neighbors and my yard. On May 2 they came out to fill in the ruts with no communication to me of the visit that day.

The tree is now gone...that is the good news. The men who did the work cut it down hastily, which left many divots in the lawn. Then they proceeded to drive their front end loader ALL OVER the lawn. (the tree was only 3 feet from my drive and 20 feet from the road) The also hit my other Maple with the loader resulting in quite the wound. They returned later that evening to grind out the stump and left ALL (2-3 yards) of chips in the drive/front yard. Turns out the price didn't include that portion of cleanup, which wasn't disclosed when I hired Top Notch. When I confronted the owner, Mr. Maas, he simply told me ''big tree, big equipment'', before the work was started he assured me I wouldn't even know they were there. I spent weeks in the front yard repairing the damage his men caused, I WOULD NOT recommend this company to do any kind of tree work! I have since had the other tree removed at a similar price with NO damage to the yard by a different tree company.
Description of Work: I had a Silver Maple removed from my front yard.
