I'm finding that being a good customer to Northgate isn't important to them, as they will not service anything that you did not purchase from them -- even if they carry the brand. I had a situation where two of three appliances that needed repair came from Northgate and they serviced them (slow turn around time). However, the third appliance that needed repair was a brand that they carry but they would not service it. It is a pain to try to get them to service anything, and I'll never obuy from them again. I think that they have over-expanded and cannot manage the load, resulting in memorable poor customer service.

Dave arrived on time, was very pleasant. He has been to my house before, and always is efficient and knowledgeable. Discussed a couple of possible solutions: the dryer has two thermostats: the basic one, and one emergency 'override' in case the first stopped functioning. Without knowing which thermostat was defective (since the dryer was working fine when he came, of course), he chose to replace the basic one. He left my old thermostat, telling me if there was still a problem(which meant it was the emergency thermostat that needed replacement), he would put my old thermostat back in, and not charge me for the other. He would then replace the defective emergency override thermostat. In the course of our discussion, I also learned very good info from Dave on features needed if/when I purchased a new dryer in future. My dryer is working fine, which means the problem was a defective 'basic' thermostat. There was a call-out charge, of course. The wonderfully surprising thing was that I was charged for the actual work-time, which was 10 minutes only. Northgate repairs only the appliances they sell; a policy that seems to make for repair people who really know their jobs. One of the factors I consider when purchasing appliances is the fact that I know who I'm going to call for repair. My current dryer is approx. 25-30 years old, and, now that it's repaired, still doing everything I want it to.

The washer and dryer work great. They installed the new ones and took the old ones out.

For some time, we had been having a problem with our refrigerator door which was misaligned. Concurrently, we had a concern that our oven was malfunctioning. After a failed attempt to repair the issues myself, I called the manufacturer to schedule a service call. I was told that, although both appliances were made by the same company, I would be charged for two service calls. This prompted me to contact a local repair company, Northgate Appliance. I could not have been more pleased with the experience. After I scheduled the appointment, the technician called promptly to triage the issue. When the service appointment came, the technician was exactly on time. He was courteous and professional. Within minutes, he had repaired the refrigerator door (it turned out it was just a loose screw) and he was onto the oven. After a thorough assessment of the oven's temperature control, he determined that it was in good working order. I have in the past worked with unscrupulous appliance repair businesses. It's not difficult for a repair technician to sell a homeowner an unnecessary part or work slowly to pad the bill. This is why it was so refreshing to work with a company like Northgate. I found them to be reliable, affordable, honest and professional.

They tell me the truth and they tell me when they are coming. They are online. We have worked with them for years and years.

We have been using them for about twenty years. Their service and parts are high quality. They are very good listeners for unusual situations and work with you on it. They have people available to help you and they are very knowledgeable.

I WAS SO GLAD THAT THEY WERE ACCOMMODATING TO MY SCHEDULE, SINCE I WAS UNABLE TO ADHERE TO THEIR SCHEDULE. THEY WERE HAPPY TO WORK AROUND MY TIME FRAME.

THE MAN WAS VERY HONEST AND DETAILED. HE TOLD ME WHAT WAS WRONG, WHAT MIGHT HAVE CAUSED THE PROBLEM, AND HOW HE WAS GOING TO FIX IT FOR ME. THE PRICE WAS GREAT, THE QUALITY WAS GREAT AND THE MAN THAT HELPED ME WAS VERY NICE.

THEY CLEANED UP WHEN THEY WERE DONE. THEY SHOWED UP AT THE TIME THEY SAID. I LIKED HOW NICE THEY WERE. THEY DID IT FAST. I WILL CALL THEM IF I EVER NEED AN APPLIANCE FIXED AGAIN.

WE LIKED THE KNOWLEDGE THEY HAD FOR THEIR JOB. WE LIKED THE PROFESSIONAL ATMOSPHERE. WE ALSO LIKED HOW QUICK THEY RESPONDED AND HOW FAST THEY GOT THE JOB DONE.
