It took over a week to receive an estimate after stopping by the store knowing exactly what I wanted. I never did receive one in writing, which I should have insisted upon. The service team was professional and courteous. They had to drill into my door and doorframe as I didn’t have a deadbolt previously. They cleaned everything up and showed me how to use the smart lock. I had to ask for an itemized receipt after paying online via Square. I was shocked when I looked it over. The pricing for the products (one wifi deadbolt and two replacement handle sets) was outrageous, Every item was marked up over 50% more than what I would have paid from Lowes or online. The wifi deadbolt was marked up almost 60% ($175 over Lowes and other retail prices). I went in to the store to talk to the manager about it. He had no sympathy and claimed he needed to mark product up that much in order to pay his staff, and that’s part of what comes in dealing with a small business. It was clear from the moment the conversation began that he was not going to budge on his pricing. He had my money and that was that. Shame on me for not insisting on a written estimate. Shame on him for his ridiculous price gouging and taking advantage of his customers. FYI - Holland Lock charges for a service call and then labor on top of it, so I paid $70 for the service call and then an hour for the deadbolt install and half-hour to swap out the other two knobs. Summary: The on-site service was great, it took multiple follow ups to get a verbal estimate, and their pricing is extremely out of line. I cannot recommend them because of their pricing. I am very supportive of local businesses, but not when they price gouge.

It went really well. On the phone the people were friendly and helpful. They were out here in record time. The technician was polite and professional. This company was very easy to work with. They are reasonably priced. I would use them again in a heartbeat.

Very difficult for me to rate. Counter person had only 5 days experience and knew next to nothing. From what I understood it was just him (as the counter person) and another gentleman (installer/road person). I couldn't even get a price quote on what I was seeking. The gentleman was very apologetic and kind but I left knowing less than when I went in. On my way home I stopped in at Menard's and the help there knew exactly what I needed. I left Menard's with four doorknobs and a deadbolt all keyed alike. As I mentioned above - very friendly - but unless you are just going to get keys made I would suggest that you go elsewhere.

The lock smith was very kind and helped me find a solution. First he did a test on my car to see if he could duplicate the key, then did some research on the computer. He was honest that it would be $75 to replace my key, which was broken in that it would no longer fit on my key chain. After we discussed solutions, he helped me find a case for my key so that it would fit on my key ring. He save me quite a bit of money this way!

I called first and had a great conversation with the woman on the phone, then I sat in the office and a man really took his time to explain the entire process to me.
