Services we offer
PLUMBING, WATER HEATERS, GARBAGE DISPOSALS, BOILERS & DRAIN CLEANING.
Toilet not flush to floor, shims used were wooden & tried to fill the gap w/a lot of caulk. After faucet install, drain leaked. Water lines in bathroom reversed-hot was cold & cold was hot. Kitchen: installed wrong flange in sink for garbage disposal & had a lot of plumbers putty which kept it sitting high instead of flush w/sink. Hooked up water line to humidifier line on furnace so we can't shut off the humidifier in the summer. After telling him the corrections that needed to be made, he was always coming 'the next day' but has yet to show up. Unfortunately I read the other comments too late.
Description of Work: New bathroom plumbing including new toilet & shower & kitchen-dishwasher, faucet, garbage disposal & water line to fridge.

It was the worst customer service experience I have ever had. When the company contacted me to set up an appointment time, I mentioned that I would not be able to be home for the plumber, but that my parents would be if that was okay. They said that would not be a problem so long as I left the payment with my parents. Little did I know that was really all they wanted...the payment. Their company had many great reminders set in place with texts and calls about arriving at the appointment which all came to me even though I had said I wouldn't be there. This wasn't really a problem and I really thought that it was nice that they had this service in place for people. However, after the plumber left, I received a text from my parents saying that they did not look into the gas leak at all because they said they didn't smell anything The plumber also said that the spigot could not be fixed under the warranty because it had burst due to not being properly winterized (which was not true since it had been working this summer and was winterized) and they said that it would cost $200 - $250 to repair it (another money grab in my opinion). Finally, my parents mentioned that they did replace the flush seal on the toilet, but it was still making intermittent running noises. So all I got for my $75 payment was a half-way fixed toilet. I was obviously upset about this and called the company the next day to find out why the gas leak hadn't been looked into, how the spigot could have cracked that way with proper winterization, and to have them come out again to finish fixing the toilet. I left a message for the manager explaining this along with my contact information, but did not hear back from him for a week. When I did decide to call again, I asked about the spigot and the manager said it could be a million reasons why the spigot was cracked since we live in Michigan and it wasn't their fault that it wasn't covered by our warranty. I then said that my biggest problem was that I had paid $75 for them to come out and fix three problems which only one was fixed and that it still was really having problems too. He said that the flush seal on the toilet was properly installed and that it must be another bad part at which point I had to interrupt him and say that I was not happy with the way this was being handled. He came right back at me and said that he wasn't happy with the way I was talking to him and the $75 that I had paid was for his $60,000 truck to come out to us. At this point, I realized I was getting nowhere with him and asked for his supervisor and he said that he was the top. I said that's sad and good luck with that and hung up. I never hang up on people, but it was all I could do to stop myself from saying horrible things to him. I would highly advise anyone seeking a plumber to stay away from this company!
Description of Work: Beck's Plumbing was contacted through my home warranty for three repairs that I had around my home: a leaking spigot outside, a possible gas leak from the water heater, and a running toilet.

We purchased a home in August and soon discovered that we had water problems in the finished basement. The home was covered by a home warranty company who told us we had to use their contractor if we wanted part of the cost covered. The home warranty company sent out Beck's Plumbing. The plumbers told us that we needed a new drainage system and sub pump installed in our basement. We scheduled the repair and it was completed. However, after the new sub pump and drainage pipe was placed, the basement still leaked. We contacted Beck's plumbing and they said "we stand by our work". They told us it was not a problem with the new pipe that was installed but that we needed to have our front porch replaced. Not believing this to be true, we hired two independent basement waterproofing specialists to come out and look at the work done by Beck's plumbing. Both of these specialists confirmed that the work done by Beck's plumbing was incorrect. I was shocked to find out that the pipe installed into our basement floor was installed upside down, no holes were drilled into the cement blocks, the sub pump was plugged into an electrical outlet that didn't even work and the sub pump connected into our existing sewer line instead of a separate sewer line. We contacted Beck's plumbing again to confront them about the poor work and they again stated that "we stand by our work. If you want to pay to fix it go ahead." Due to the gross negligence of this company, we were encouraged by other contractors to sue Beck's plumbing. When we tried to take legal action against them with the State Licensing Board we discovered that they are NOT licensed contractors. They also never pulled a permit to do the work on our home. Due to their negligence, we lost over $5,000 and now have no money to fix our basement which is still actively leaking. Please learn from our mistake and do not do business with this company of any person associated with it.

The quality of his work was unsatisfactory.
Description of Work: I purchased a condo this spring. The realtor provided a free one year home insurance plan. When I discovered the mixer on the guest bathroom shower did not work I contacted the home insurance company. The company sent Beck's Plumbing out to determine the problem. I had to pay him $95 to verify that there was a problem. He made an appointment to come back and replace the shower mixer valve. When he returned the repair required him to cut a hole in the closet wall in order to replace the mixer valve. He made a very sloppy cut in the wall. As a result the plastic plate, designed to cover the hole, did not cover the lower right-hand corner of the hole he made. Also, the plate would not stay in place. I played phone tag with the insurance company to no avail. In the end, I had my handyman deal with the problem.
