We live in the middle of a woods, so there's not much landscaping. I think the cost was $250 because once they dropped it, we cut the rest up. We had the stump grinding later. They were amazing. Watching them climb those tree with the spikes on their shoes and the belts and everything. This was old fashioned dropping. It was a riot. I spent the whole afternoon watching them. I thought it was an excellent price for what they did. The quality was really good. For punctuality, I think I've gotta give them a B on that one because it took them a little while to get here. It's his own business. He's a private enterprise. I think he's out in the Hemlock area.
Description of Work: We had a 90 foot Oak taken down.

I've used him twice. He does a good job and he's reasonable. His price was the most reasonable one compared to any tree trimmer.
Description of Work: I used the services of Monk's Tree Service for tree trimming in August.

Four or five men arrived with trucks and a large shredding machine. We discussed what would be done. A man got into the top of the tree from a "cherry picker". He removed all of the limbs on the tree starting from the top. Men on the ground guided the fall of the limbs with ropes attached to them. When all of the limbs were removed, the man climbed to the top of the bare trunk and began to saw it into pieces. The fall of the trunk sections was guided by men holding ropes attached to the section being removed. Small branches were put in the shredder. Very large branch pieces and trunk sections were put in a truck bed. A grinding machine was used to remove the tree stump to several inches below ground level. The hole was back filled and the crew left.
Description of Work: I have had this firm remove large trees- several feet in diameter- from my property on three different occasions. My neighbor has received similar service on two occasions. We were both very pleased.
