Dennis failed to show up after numerous previous attempts to get an estimate for over a week of setting up and his canceling. This was surprising since they had done a nice job replacing the deck on a front porch just last year.

Mason didn’t show up or call to give original estimate. When estimate was given for the deck, that individual gave the estimate for the chimney when they learned the mason didn’t show. Start of deck repair was delayed 3 times, then workers didn’t show up on several days because they went to other jobs. They called me after they were supposed to arrive at my house to inform me they weren’t coming.

Started a day late due to weather but all work completed in next 2 days. Care taken to avoid damage to existing aluminum siding and assure sturdy construction. Did exactly as requested and promised. Cleaned up everything afterward. Beautiful job! Very pleased.

Fine except they got the scheduling day mixed up and I had to take an extra day at home

Steve and his crew were amazing. They cared about the quality of their work and if they actually fixed the problem. They called after we have had rain to make sure everything is still fixed. Of course it is because they were incredibly through. I know who our all around handy men are now!

I called for a quote on Tuesday, August 22. I gave all my contact information to the woman who answered as well as the list of items we need done. (Gutter cleaning, sink stoppers fixed, a small piece of siding on second story put back up.) She told me that someone would contact me that day. It was already afternoon at that time, so I didn't necessarily expect a return call that evening. However, I did not receive a call back the following two days. I called back on Friday, August 25 and spoke to the same woman I initially spoke with. I told her I'd never heard back from anyone. She still had all my information and remembered my call and said she didn't know what happened, but someone would get back to me. I have still not received any response from this company.This makes me question their overall reliability. I guess this company doesn't want or need any more business.

Jason (Jay Spezia) did not show up on August 25th, the day he agreed to do the work, and I have not heard from him since. I should have seen the red flags when he showed up 1 ½ hour late for our first appointment to review the needed work; however, his initial follow up with providing an estimate for each of the various items that needed fixing was prompt. I responded to his initial estimate with comments and questions and he responded back with answers and suggested the date to complete the work. The day before his work day I emailed him to confirm his 9:30 estimated arrival time and did not hear back from him. On the morning he was to arrive, I sent him 2 texts asking for status on his arrival as he was 40 minutes over due. There was no response. I called him 2 hours after his estimated arrival and left a message asking for some sort of status – no response- Very unprofessional and a poor way to run a business. I arranged to take the day off work to be home while he performed the various jobs, as well as prepared the various areas he needed to do the work over the prior weekend. His no-show performance chewed up one of my vacation days with no positive results. If Jason had another job that took longer than expected and we needed to move our date, I can understand that. I may not have been happy, but at least I would have been in the loop and we could have arranged another time. If he had a family emergency, I can understand that as well, but to not show up and not return my texts or call is not a professional way to run a business. I am very disappointed with this experience. Looking for a good handyman recommendation!

I called 5 contractors to try and get a quote and even one that was highly rated on Angie's List (did not even offer a quote or pursue further). Michigan's Handyman was the only one who would help me. They gave me a quote and was ready to do the work on an agreeable day. They did a really good job by replacing the steps, doing some tuck-pointing, and adding a new handrail. They were professional, polite, and cleaned up after. I had no other prices to compare but I feel the price was good at the least. I will call them again.

Called two different days in November...Got no return call....zero response!!

We have black gutters and they put a white strap on it. They even asked my husband before they came out, what color of gutter do we have and he said, "Black." I came home and the strap was white. So, I called the repair person who left his card. He said he didn't know the area and he didn't know where to get black. I said, "There's a Home Depot in Coolidge." He said, "Oh, they just have green or brown." So, he just put white on, that he had in his truck. I said, "That's unacceptable." This was right before Thanksgiving. I said, "Well, can you come out?" He said, "Well, it's a holiday weekend. I won't be able to come out this week." I said, "Well, as soon as you can come out." Then we had that little snowstorm. Then the company sent someone different out. We did not pay them until they came out. But I did ask the person I called, "Well, if we need repairs during this winter, can you come out?" He goes, "Well, no, I really don't come out in the cold and in the snow." I thought, "Well, what do you do then?" His name was Jason and he was sort of irritated that I called. So, I was just not thrilled. But then, the company did send someone out, within two weeks, to fix it. He said, "Well, it's on the side of the house. I don't think it matters." I said, "It always matters. No matter what." He said, "Well, no one is going to see it." I said, "I see it. The neighbors see it."

Extremely professional. Job was well done. Would use again in the future for certain.

Originally a person completed all the work but did not return to finish off caulking. But the company made it right and came to complete the job. I am very impressed with the both of the owners professionalism and they are really easy to work with.

They were very prompt and did a very good job. They cleaned up all the debris and I would recommend them.

When I contacted Robert he called back within a few hours of me leaving him a voicemail. I explained what I needed done and Robert, being resourceful, used Google Maps to pull up my residence and was able to see exactly what I needed and provided me a quote on the spot. He had the gutter repaired before I even got home from work on the same day! The invoice that was left for me was as quoted over the phone. I had called multiple gutter repair businesses for a couple weeks (none from Angie's List) and Michigan's Handyman was the first to reply, and even resolved my issue on the same day! Impressive and appreciated! Although I didn't break out a ladder to QC the gutter repair, the gutter is no longer hanging off the side of my home, so that's an improvement in itself.

I would absolutely recommend this company again. They promptly returned my phone call and were able to immediately come out the day that we confirmed. Brian, who came out, was very professional, thorough and did an excellent job. He made sure to explain what was done. Gutters look great!

Michigan's Handyman showed up on time, were very professional, cleaned up after the job, and were gone in about an hour. Would definitely use them again. No problems with the gutter since their visit.

I emailed Ron through Angies List and he got back to me immediately. One of his handymen met me the next day to give me an estimate and it was very reasonable. Jason was very polite and friendly and he worked hard all day at each task. Everything was done well and we were very happy with the results and appreciated the help with these tasks! I will recommend them to friends and use them again.

I have no idea - I wasn't there.

I hired this company to clean my gutters and install leaf guards. Initial scheduling was easy however they were more than 2 hours late the first morning and having a day with high winds and having to reschedule is where the problem came into play. Dealing with rude workers saying they'll reschedule whenever instead of giving me a date which after talking to the owner and foreman was rescheduled for the next morning 10-noon (they didn't arrive until 3). That response was given after I turned down over priced additional work $300 to replace the wood on one side of the garage, I was told it was so expensive because it was so much wood. So I went to Home Depot and priced the lumber myself and it was $95 for both sides and about 2 hours of work from someone who is not in the construction business. I also had to clean the debris that were removed from my gutters and there is an extension off my downspout missing since the repair date that I was told maybe the wind blew away. Which in order to do so "the wind" would have to unscrew it. I do not recommend this company nor do I plan to hire them again.

I called this company once and left a message. Nobody called back. Several days later, I called again and got an answer. I had a leak in my roof, and the guy on the phone said he would have an associate call me later. Later, a different guy called and said he could probably fit me in that same day, that he would call a half an hour before he came. That was last week, and I haven't heard anything since. I don't feel like chasing these guys anymore.

They returned my call quickly, and they were timely with the estimate, which was very competitive. They scheduled the work and it was finished as promised. I will definitely use them again.

I recently bought a home where the gutters appeared to have been neglected. I called Jim and received a quote for over the phone (based upon googlemaps picture of my home). The quote was slightly higher than the other quotes I had received and/or seen, but Jim informed me they could come out to do the work a few days after I contacted him. So based upon the Angie's List reviews and the availability, I decided to pull the trigger. Jim and Adam arrived precisely at the scheduled time and immediately got to work. I didn't interact much with Adam as he spend most of the time on the roof. My interactions with Jim were very positive. He is very friendly and professional. I am satisfied with the work, and have already hired Jim for another project.

We were very pleased with the work that was done and will definitely hire them again. They saved me from having to climb a ladder and do the work myself. I hate ladders.

Contacted Michigan handyman thru Angie's list message. I received a call and Robert scheduled a time to come out and give an estimate. Estimate seemed reasonable and was going to hire but had some other unexpected expenses come up so project was put on hold. I will contact in the future. I would recommend Michigan handyman seems honest and does not try to tell you to replace things that don't need replaced.

I had no problems at all, they did a good job, and they were in and out.
