Ugly Shingles LLC - Roof Cleaning Michigan

Description of Work: My garage roof was growing mold and needed quick attention. My interactions with Ugly Shingles were all via email, but they were quick, courteous, and provided the best price I could find. Work was done completely and on time, with biodegradable cleaners. I would use them again.

Description of Work: The rating was a hard call. I just cannot give an A rating for over all unless everything was perfect. The actual roof cleaning was great but I was told that there would be no affect on shrubs etc. In reality, a number of shrubs had portions that browned out and grass areas out from down spouts were almost killed. The grass was yellow all summer and the areas on the shrubs died. I think the shrubs will survive but will take some time to look good again. If the person on the ground spent more time rinsing and just used more water, I think it would have been OK. I was extremely angry at first but I guess I would use again if they promise to pay more attention to the rinsing part. If the results would be the same, I would never use them again.

Description of Work: Soft scrub of roof to remove mold, algae and lichen. Roof inspection. Cleaned moss off of chimney (no charge). Complete job done for $100.00 less than competitor.

We were very pleased with all aspects of the job - responding to our initial call, estimating the cost, calling us when they were running late, preparing the roof, protecting our landscaping and answering all our questions from start to finish. Our roof looks great.

He found that my gutters were full of leaves, so he blew those out for me at no cost before he began work on the roof. The roof is streak-free now and I have a five year guarantee on his work. I'm a happy home-owner.

We won't know how the roof will eventually look, because it takes about a month for the process to work, dry up and flake off. However, it already looks so much better. They guarantee their work .
