I called Jim Schollenberger's Home Tech and he arrived within 2 hours. Diagnosed the problem as a failed water pump. He had one in his truck and repaired the washing machine immediately. Charged $50 for the service call and $125 for the pump. That was it.

I spoke with him over the phone and described the issues I was having with my dryer. I gave him the brand and serial number of the dryer, and he was able to diagnose the problem over the phone for me. He said I needed a new motor, and he would be able to come by with one tomorrow to fix it for me. He was very helpful and courteous.

Jim was very friendly and professional. The only compliant, if any, was that he was 15 minutes late for his scheduled service window, but really, that was no big deal. His first two suggestions as to what the problem might be was a failed lid switch or the timer. Within 10 minutes he determined it was the lid switch, had the part on hand, and repaired the machine. The service call was $50, the cost to replace the part was $65. Total time for the whole visit was only about 25 min. I had mentioned I was having some electrical problems during his visit, and he recommended a local electrician that does good work and was reasonably priced. Would definitely call Jim again for any future appliance repairs.

He was supposed to come and check out a leaking refrigerator. He made an appointment with my renter, never showed, rescheduled and never showed for the second time. Also, when I called to ask why, he never returned my calls. I gave him a chance to explain and he didnt take it so I thought I would warn the other list users.

The whole experience was great. no issues.

.Jim was punctual and that rates HUGE for me. He went right to work and was literally in and out within 20 mins. He also replaced a panel that had been left off of my fuse box by a previous electrician. Sounds like a little thing but unfortunately there are too many people that just don't take the time to go the extra mile ... even if it's measured in minutes.

Very well Jim knew the necessary part was discontinued and he found a suitable replacement part. He found it and installed it right away.

The washer wasn't leaking, but he reattached my dryer vent. He did try to find the source of the leak. Unlike some of the mega appliance repair companies his service fee is reasonable and he does apply that to the repair cost. He doesn't set a specific appointment time but uses a range ( 12 - 2 pm). He was thorough and quick. I will definitely use him if needed in the future.
