Description of Work: Inspected and cleaned the chimney. This service provider is unable to provide pictures and communicate electronically. They do NOT know how to operate email. ???!

Description of Work: I had done my research before calling and then asked Mr. Waite a long list of questions, which he answered directly and professionally. I also had a diagram of the various parts of the chimney so that when we discussed the work to be done, it was easy for me to visually see what he was talking about. The stone chimney had no been inspected in about 20 years, so I hired him to do that - an exterior and interior evaluation, top to bottom; that is, he looked up closed at the chimney by standing next to it on the roof and laid on his back and slid his head and shoulders etc into the chimney with a strong light inside the house. Among the things Mr. Waite checked were the damper, smoke chamber, flue, motar joints, and state of the chimney cap. He replaced the broken damper and the chimney cap (which had been damaged in a major windstorm earlier in the year) and also the cap did not "seat" properly. He thoroughly cleaned up inside before leaving. He was very affable.
