Mr. Beemans put a septic system in for us in the fall of 2012. The alarm on the pump he installed started to go off in the winter of 2013. My daughter and her family were on a mini-vacation at the house. When I called Mr Beemans for help, he refused to come to help; he said he was too busy snow plowing for companies such as WalMart. He hung up on me. We had another company come and address the issue. Two weeks ago we found out part of the original septic system, which we had thought was disabled, started to overflow. Unbeknownst to us, part otf the original septic system was not only still in use, but also not connected to the new system. Thus it could not handle the plumbing contents that were going into it. Mr. Beeman's response is that he did not know the house was plumbed that way, and he is not going to compensate us in any way for this mistake, which has obviously cost us money to have another company fix. I have called him three times to try to reach some sort of agreement; after ranting for a while he has hung up on me each time. As per the other review concerning Mr Beeman's business practice, he asked us also for more money than he had originally bid back in 2013.
Description of Work: Was hired to upgrade septic system of large home we bought to use as vacation home and vacation rental. He put in a new septic system which could handle the six bathrooms of the house.

Owner provided a competitive bid, then came back for additional funds twice claiming he overlooked some aspects of the job. This is the second experience with this contractor when this company submitted a low bid, then asked for considerably more money later. Most troubling was the careless workmanship of the employees. They did considerable damage to my house and electrical system by using equipment too big for the job and trying to go too fast in close quarters. After damaging siding, the workers blamed the owner for using brittle materials. Repairs to electrical system cost almost $2000. Finally, owner was very antagonistic with me when I pushed back on the second request for more money, after the fact.
Description of Work: Site preparation for a garage and remove old patio
