We bought a brand new house figuring we would not have to do any work on it. we couldn't have been more wrong. They advertised name brand sinks, faucets, gutters included, and many more things. I have complained multiple times to no avail. They did send out one handyman to fix some stuff and when he was done in the house settled in with it it looks no different than it did before. The gaps between the floor and the trim were at least to inches. we paid $2,000 to have a lawn put in and all they did was hydroseed without grading the yard. They even seeded over all the rocks so a year later we still have some spots in the yard where no grass is. Our driveway cracked a corner piece off over last winter. They left tools and the house extremely dirty because they were using our house to go to the bathroom and for electricity before we moved in. They put the closing date off so we almost had to stay in a hotel because our old house had sold. This was also the case with some of our neighbors. We were told they would have paid the electric bill for using our electric but that never happened. After I moved in I had the workmen from next door just trying to walk into my house. Something isn't right with the electrical. It's nothing that's going to burn the house down but the plug in our kitchen has the fuse go out all the time. They did send an electrician but it is not fixed. Are shutters and porches are not installed correctly. Our porch has uneven boards some have gaps in between them and some don't. The cuts around siding in certain spots don't match up. The shutters do not have any of the holes from the screws filled in. The wood posts on the porch or supposed to be wrapped and they're not. I am sure I'm forgetting some things but the list is so long that I'm bound to forget something

Getting ahold of Joe is near to impossible when you need things done. We bought a just built house in Sparta that has many issues we were assured that would be fixed. There is paint on every flooring surface in every room of the house. The trim work was poorly painted and has different color paint marks all over. We had doors that would not shut or lock (great for both bathrooms. This was also the fault of the painters who put the doors back in different spots. We complained the weekend we moved in. We were told it would be handled as soon as we were settled in. The caulk work is awful also. We do love the neighborhood. We have come to learn that our neighbors have all had the same issues and more. We paid to have our yard hydro seeded and the yard never had fill dirt put down and wasn't graded. I spent hours raking rocks out of my half grown yard because I got tired of waiting. The list goes on and on. I will say that the builder himself is a very sweet man. The Richter family has communication issues and have let people wait until they just give up and start fixing things themselves. After having them move the closing we had to get in right away. The house next door was being worked on so Joe asked if they could use our electricity to continue building over there with the promise of paying for the electric. We have not seen a dime. I am a bit stubborn and started to fix things myself before deciding that I shouldn't have to fix a just built house. They also never had a cleaning crew come in and clean up all the construction crews mess. Apparently our neighbors also had to spend hours cleaning just to move in because their closing was pushed back and the had no home to live in other that the one here. Be aware of the issues surrounding these newly built houses. Look at every little, miniscule thing to make sure you are getting what you have been promised. Posted everywhere I can think of. Settling does happen. Poor workmanship and honesty **** people off when you promise to fix things in August. Make things right or a lawyer and news station are next. If you can start building three houses before you fix ours there's a problem.

Horrible. Window wells were not attached, even after moving in, yard is not graded, lattice work on porch is not done. Brick work is not done on front of house, walkway is not poured. Also, water damaged interior doors were painted to try and hide the damage. Windows in basement Leak. Builders do not respond to calls or texts, and they fail to accept responsibility and will not fix mistakes.
