GROUNDED in…Family Three generations of the Bosgraaf family have worked for more than 35 years to establish Bosgraaf Homes as West Michigan’s leader of High Performance Energy Efficient, Homes. We value our customers, we value our trade partners, we value your time, and of course we value…VALUE! THE BOSGRAAF STORY The seed was planted in the late 1960’s-hundres of acres of grass seed to be exact-on the sod farm of Ted Bosgraaf, his father Ben, and his brother Jack. The business was successful but, as anyone who’s grown a lawn knows, grass maintenance comes with hassles: weeds, bugs and disease to name a few. So, when approached the idea of flooding his land to create a 228 acre lake and surrounding resort area, Ted sold the form and Sandy Pines was born. Ted continued to help develop the 2,400 campsite community of Sandy Pines in the 1970’s. Inspired by that experience, Ted and brother Jack began developing other communities, including the condominium developments Summergreen in Hudsvonille and Grand Haven’s Sandpiper. Bosgraaf (then known as Bosgraaf Sales and Leasing) also tackled the complete renovation of Grand Haven’t old Story and Clark Piano factory, transforming it into a contemporary marriage of old and new, with condominiums, retail shopping and a restaurant. From it’s foundations in land development and construction, Bosgraaf Homes blossomed in the 1980’s and 90’s with such developments as Bay Meadows, the Cottages at Bay Meadows, Windstream, Rolling Oak, Tall Grass, Sunflower, Silver Ridge, Sunridge and Woodwind. By now, more family had joined the venture, with Ted’s son, Brian, handling construction, Ted development, and his wife, Pat, and son, Mike, the sales and daughter Amy, operations. Today, Bosgraaf Homes remains as grounded in family as that old sod farm decades ago, and is now owned and operated by Mike Bosgraaf.
