A big woodchuck burrowed into my window well, with other holes on/near the property, and was regularly seen eating plants on my deck and spilled birdseed nearby. I called Stan's Predator and Varmint Control (I will refer to as "Stan's") for assistance in removing the woodchuck. A rep. from Stan's came to my home, set a trap in the window well burrow entrance, and spent some time using a device to try to call the woodchuck. He instructed me to check the trap morning and evening, and call if anything was caught. I followed these instructions but nothing was caught in the trap. The next week, a rep. from Stan's came unannounced to check on the trap and the surrounding area for evidence of the woodchuck. There were no sighs or sightings of the chuck, and this man's interactions became unprofessional when he very obviously looked me up and down several times, stating "I'll only be back to see you."He then left. There was no further contact from Stan's, nor did anyone from Stan's check on the trap. I continued to check the trap daily with no result; then I saw the woodchuck return to the deck, eating houseplants. The trap remained empty. After a couple more weeks, I carefully removed the trap and discovered it was not (or was no longer) set. I filled in the chuck hole and re-dug the window well using rock. I updated Stan's by phone and did not hear back. After another week, a rep. from Stan's came unannounced and collected the empty trap. I am out the money, still have the woodchuck, and was annoyed by an inappropriate interaction with a rep, from Stan's. I was not happy with this business interaction, and can not recommend this service to catch a wood chuck.
